《The Invitation》Chapter 5

Elias Samuel stood straight after a long train ride and turned his nose up in disgust as his co-passenger stood up and made to leave. It was a shame, a true shame how the quality of women went down with every passing decade. Well, no point worrying about that now, he said to himself, he had much more to look forward too.

At the train station, a semi-occupied carriage waited for them. Elias stepped in, and sat besides a young man with blonde hair and sparkling green eyes. Opposite to him sat his train co-passenger, right beside a lady with long raven hair and the same green eyes.

The two appeared to be in an argument, paying no notice to either Elias or the girl, Eliza.

The carriage began to move and Elias gave up on any hope of introducing himself when he realized that the two were siblings, and American no-less! What on Earth were they doing all the way in the English Countryside, Percy and Frances wouldn't have invited them......unless of course, they did.

He sighed loudly and sat back, bringing his eyes to the windows, the road to the countryside was beautiful, yet the ride seemed excruciatingly long.

"Ahem! Well now look what you've done Leah, you've bored our poor friends here. It's not too late to fix that of course, my name is Nicholas, but you can call me Nico.", said the young green-eyed man as he introduced himself to no one in particular.

The other girl, his sister, scowled. "Well Nicholas, if you hadn't started the argument, we wouldn't be here right now.", she said in a haughty voice.

And just before the could start arguing again, Eliza piped up, "Let's leave all that in the past, shall we? I presume we're going to be stuck together for quite some time, so we should make this amicable. My name is Eliza, it's a pleasure to meet you."

"And I am Elias, Elias Samuels."

Eliza visibly rolled her eyes and ignored his outstretched hand, but Leah shook it.

Just then, the carriage stopped and Elias tucked his collar up, ready to leave them all.

The carriage door opened and everyone stepped out, right in front of the majestic, Armeshire Manor.

YES......... I know this chapter is a bit boring, but its kinda necessary.
