《Nick Wilde X Reader | A New Partner》Home Sweet Home

Nick shut the car door behind him. He waved to Jade as he was walking away. She rolled her eyes.
You shivered in the cold air as Nick and you walked back to your apartment. He rubbed his hands together to show he was cold as well.
You entered your code into the lobby doors: 6431 and they swooshed open.
Padding towards the stairs, you nodded at the one security guard they had on duty.
On the way up, Nick's phone started to make a "ping" sound from incoming text messages.
"Who's that?" Hopefully you didn't sound nosy from asking. You didn't feel nosy. You were tired.
He dramatically pulled his paws down his face, "Uhhhg. I'll check soon. Too lazy."
You scoffed as you neared your apartment door. Didn't look too bad! Maybe no one would notice it got knocked down...
Upon closer inspection you noticed a note on the door.
Snagging it from the white surface, Nick leaned over your shoulder with his hands behind his back as you read it.
'Tried my best to fix the door! Should work now!!!! :) -Alex'
"That's a relief," you opened the door and headed inside.
Nick stepped inside after you and gently closed it.
Pouring yourself onto the couch, you closed your eyes, put your head back, and sighed. You were actually really tired.
With your eyes still closed, you patted the spot next to you to beckon the red fox over.
After a moment you felt him flop next to you and pulled his phone out to check the messages.
"Whoa."
You opened your eyes as sat up.
He had several text messages from Mr. Big.
They read: 'You are more trouble than you are worth. I pray we will never see each other again. Keep your delivery. I have bigger mammals to freeze.'

"Guess that solves that," Wilde chuckled in relief.
"Yeah. Glad my apartment won't get ransacked again," you said sarcastically.
You didn't notice, but the clock at the top of his phone screen clicked to 11:00 PM.
He snickered again and say, "Whoops. It's 11:00! Time to pick you up!" And with that he turned and slid his arms under you.
Your eyes opened wide as he... literally... picked you up off the couch. Your face grew hot as your bodies pulled together.

The Emperor's Chef
"Cook like your life depends on it, kid. Because it does." Charles had an enviable future lined up for him. Training from the age of five by some of the finest chefs in the world. Schooling at a top culinary academy in the capital. An honorable position as heir to House Boulier, a line of merchant-lords who have charmed the rich and powerful with their cooking for centuries. And in a single night, it all burned to ash. When the outbreak of war destroys his hometown, Charles is charged with escorting his family’s sacred treasure—a recipe book passed down for untold generations—out of harm's way. But his simple mission grows complicated when he’s captured by one of the most feared battalions in the world: the Spears of Mercy. Life as a prisoner in their war camp is brutal and uncertain. Charles has few allies and even fewer strengths to rely on. Only his skills in the culinary arts, honed over a lifetime in the kitchen, are deemed useful enough to keep him alive another day. But he’s not out of hope just yet. With a dash of wit, a pinch of luck, and some very creative cooking, he might just find a way to recover his family’s legacy and take back his freedom. This project is a food-themed fantasy that centers on cooking and chefs. The setting spans a wide world featuring ingredients/recipes both real and inspired by traditional fantasy. I'll eventually be publishing it as a full-length novel (or series of novels depending on length). These are the first draft chapters. I'll likely be re-writing more than once, then editing before publishing, so impressions and feedback are quite welcome. If you like the story so far and you're interested in being an early reviewer for the final product, feel free to message me. I'm looking for an artist to make some concept art and a cover (the cover shown here is just a temporary placeholder). A stand-alone novel for now, but it may turn into a series down the road.

THE MAN WHO FOUGHT GOD
From the boy who was blessed by God, to the man who fought God. This is the legend of Joseph The Giant, and The Great Wolf Of White. This legend can only tell you of the fight, who won or lost if for you to decide. If you can stand to read my writing, consider checking out my main story "Perception(Time is Relative)" I have learned a lot from writing that story and hope I can use it to improve this one.

The Girl with Scales and a Sword
This is the story of a girl who ends up with scales and a sword. Yup. There you have it folks. Slice of Life is the key intended genre. This is literally going to be a running commentary of a girls life, especially as it relates to adventure and action This is going to be a continuous work, as I intend it to be a side project while I work on other books more decidedly, and I intend to rework chapters often, because I want this both to be a break from other titles, and a learning experience. I'm going to be trying to get a lot of people to comment on chapters so I can grow as a writer. So if you want to read, please do! and comment if you feel generous. Just keep in mind, releases will likely be veeeeery far apart. (Note: I try to put out a chapter a month, though that doesn't always happen depending on school, work, and generally how well I'm doing, energy-wise)
