"We're at the market!" You almost screamed with excitement. "I haven't been here in years!"
Haruhi giggled, "How have you not?" he asked. "You live in walking distance?"
"I dunno..." you said, really wondering why you never come here, when you used to love going to all the little stalls when you were a kid.
"Well let's go and have a look around, shall we?" Haruhi asked extending his arm for you to link yours in it. You gave him a big smile and nodded, and the two of you began looking around.
You pulled Haruhi along to all the stalls that caught your interest, and with your excitement, that was most of them.
"Here," Haruhi said, picking up a yellow ribbon and trying it in your hair from the current stall you were at. You blushed as he put it in.
"Thank you," you said, looking down to cover the blush. Haruhi handed the store owner the money, taking your hand and leading you to the food stalls.
You knew how much Haruhi loved his food, and in return for the ribbon, bought him Ootoro, he as you call it, fancy tuna. He ate it faster than you could imagine, enjoying every bit of it.
Your perfect date had to come to an end eventually. Haruhi walked you to your door.
"Well, thanks for the great time," you said shyly to him.
"That's okay," Haruhi smiled. "I'd love to do it again some time."
You returned the smile and he brought you in for a hug. But something felt... off. Something was there, that should not be on any boy. You didn't want it to be true, but there was no better explanation. It all added up. The eyes, the lips, the voice, the movements and the body. Haruhi wasn't the man you saw him as any longer!

Humans were the real monsters of the apocalypse. Their betrayal left him subsequently bleeding and poisoned on the floor of an apartment. But not all hope was lost.
