you just bawled your eyes out into his shoulder. you were attached to reki but you couldn't handle going through the same thing again.

"sorry for that ... let's clean now?" you pulled away wiping your tears. xiao didn't say another word and walked away. you were scared that because he touched you he'd leave.

but that wasn't the case at all, "look up" he requested. you looked up to have him wiping your eyes with a tissue.

"thank you," you smiled that really did it for you. it cheered you up a whole lot knowing there was someone else now, someone who wouldn't leave you like he did.

you guys began cleaning acting like nothing ever happened while you were screaming inside at how you just hugged xiao.

"oh yeah that xiao guy, can I have his insta?" reki continued his conversation not noticing you were even listening.

"sure"

xiao and you finished cleaning at the same time as always. you guys left the school exhausted but of course late snacks were always a need.

until you spotted a little girl with light purple hair in a long braid. "who's that?" you asked xiao she was leaning against the wall looking as if she was waiting for someone.

"xiao? is that you?" the little girl turned around and her eyes fell on you. her eyes widen but went back to normal after a few seconds.

"is that your little sister?" you assumed but at the same time they looked nothing alike. xiao sighed leaning forward and crouching down to qiqi's height.

"what are you doing here?" xiao's voice soften a little. "zhongli told me to wait for you... who's she?" she turned to you as you were behind xiao with a suprised look.

"ah I'm y/n! xiao's friend, are you his little sister?" you replied. "y/n...?" she repeated and you nodded. she wanted to remember and tried her best to remember the name but she was bound to forget anyway.

"she isn't my little sister ... zhongli usually asks me to take care of her sometimes," he corrected. you had no idea who zhongli was but for some reason the way his expression slightly changed talking about him.

you just knew he was someone importsnt to him. you wanted to meet him someday but right now you were focused on the little girl in front of you, she was really cute.

"what about you? what's your name?" you smiled. she was a little hesitant on speaking to you but she could tell you were a nice person unlike someone.

"qiqi," she replied quietly but calmy she seemed like a nice little girl who wouldn't go feral. "that's a nice name would you like to go to a nearby store with xiao and I? I can get you some snacks," you offered.

her face lit up at the mention of a store and spoke up, "cocogoat!"

"cocogoat...?"

"are you serious? are you still obsessed with cocogoat?" xiao sighed shaking his head while he stood back up.

qiqi just glared back at him before repeating herself, "cocogoat." that time it sounded very demanding and you just chuckled.

"cocogoat istilldontknowwhatthatis here we come!"

"because no," he gave you an unreasonable reason which you began to laugh at. "giving me false hope part three," you cried out jokingly but xiao's eyes widen at the words part three.

the silence was interrupted between you two when qiqi suddenly dropped her cocogoat spilling it everywhere. xiao sighed getting up and walking towards her assuring her it was okay.

"I'll go get something," xiao informed you and you nodded as he walked back into the store to get some more cocogoat and something to clean the mess up.

"qiqi? come here will you?" you called out and she turned to you. she followed as you said sitting down at the spot you patted on beside you.

"uh... I forgot," she started wanting to say your name but already forgot. you just gave her an awkward smile telling her it's fine and repeating your name.

"about xiao... is he okay?" you questioned you turned to look at her and her eyes were empty as if she was in her own little world until she snapped out of it.

"uh... I don't remember much... zhongli?" qiqi answered your question. you didn't blame her for not answering your question that much as she had bad memory loss and you just gave her a smile thanking her.

her answer was enough for you anyway whoever this zhongli person is had some special connection with xiao and seemed to know everything.

the answers to all your questions he had and you wanted to meet him but you had no permission in going into xiao's business like that.

he seemed to be hesitant of something and kept a secret to himself. you didn't want to ruin what you guys had for now and just remained quiet.

you stared at your hand that was pressed against the bench. your finger that had the ring wrapped around itself made you feel a lot better, one day.
