You went to sleep after you were told that Reki had a hold of your number. You ghosted him like actually you weren't about to deal with him right now.

"so he's around here? I've actually been curious on how he looks," hu tao looked around while walking beside you and you put your hand over her eyes stopping her.

"stop it I'm trying to get away not attract him," you frowned. you turned away from hu tao and continued to walk until you bumped into someone.

"sorry- holy shit JUMPSCARE WARNING !?" you shouted accidentally blurting the last part out. you looked up to see Reki his face lit up hearing and recognizing you.

"oh so that's how he looks- goddam he's attractive but that personality sure aint," lumine hummed.

"oh! y/n! I've missed you," he happily wrapped his arms around you hugging you. "what the-" you were cut off as the sounds that came out of you became muffled since he pushed your head into the crook of his neck.

you signaled for help from the others but lumine looked around trying to a spot a specific person.

"xiao c'mere," lumine quietly but loudly yelled out as she waved her hand telling xiao to come here.

"y/n hang on you'll be fine," hu tao shouted and you were stuck as he had his hands on your shoulders with sparkling eyes rambling on about how much he missed you.

"what?" xiao approached hu tao and lumine when they both suddenly pulled him into a corner. "you should go save y/n and be hot," hu tao suggested getting an immediate no from him.

"because y/n can hangout with whoever she wants. I don't control her," he answered. "one she despises him two that's her ex boyfriend for your information who CLEARLY still likes her," lumine held up two fingers with a stern look.

"ok what do you want me to do?"

"I'll do whatever," xiao shrugged and walked off. lumine and hu tao thought he was gonna go the other way but instead he went your way.

"y/n the teacher needs you," he grabbed your wrist pulling you away from reki making sure he wasn't too rough so he wouldn't hurt you.

"oh okay," you sighed in relief glad to be out of reki's presence. reki's expression went down as he was disappointed since the conversation with you was so short.

"see you y/n respond to my texts okay?" he gave you a small wave. "uhh yeahh bye now," you waved back before turning and walking away with xiao.

you had no plans on texting him or running into him again. "thank you even if you had no intentions on it I just wanna say thank you," you stared at the ground with a lot of thoughts.

"hu tao and lumine called me over," he explained and you made an 'ohh' sound. no wonder why they went the other way, those fuckers.

that was just an excuse for him he would've done it even if he wasn't forced to do so he just had to pick a good timing.

"are you okay?" he hummed and you looked at him confused at the sudden question. "yeah? why wouldn't I be it's been a long time I'm over him," you forced a smile.

it's not like you still liked him you really like xiao so you had no intentions on ditching xiao like that. it was just you guys dated for four years.

the memories and dates you two had just came back into your mind. he left in the end all because he wanted to go to school aboard for a while. you had no problem with that but he just left.

not even a goodbye and he had changed his number meaning no one could contact him. it was like he just dissappeared and he never existed in the first place.

"alright," he accepted that answer even though he saw through you. he had no idea how to comfort you but he's willing to stay by you in case you ever broke down.

it was history class, the only period you had with xiao and sat beside him. you were usually always talking to him and trying to make the best of time you two had together.

school had ended and you were walking towards the first classroom to clean with xiao when you overheard something in front of the stairs and hid.

"y/n? how I feel about y/n?" reki pointed his thumb at himself confused at the question his new friend had asked him.

"I love her I really love her! We were together for four years and those were the happiest years of my life. I disappeared though and I really do feel like a shitty person for it but I'm willing to start over with her again," he answered.

Your eyes widen at his answer that revealed his true feelings. "It was shitty of you man you know there are rumors that she's with the dude named xiao who pulled her away earlier?" his friend sighed.

"xiao? it doesn't matter, as long as I have her around me I can put up a good competition and even if she chooses xiao I'll never give up," he smiled.

you had mixed emotions you had no intentions on getting with him at all but he was really the sweetest person you've ever been with.

he'd offer you a place to stay once things got too out of hand, he'd wipe your tears, and he'd always be there to help you. you needed him the day he disappeared and you could never forgive him for that.

you arrived to the classroom pretending you never overheard the conversation with Reki. You tried your best to hold back your tears and act normal but it was really difficult pretending to hate the person you depended on for four years.

And eventually you could no longer hold your tears just breaking down. why did he have to come back? you finally found someone new and now he comes back?

"It's okay," a reassuring voice came closer to you wrapping his arm around you. He brought you closer to his chest letting you cry into his shoulder.

he didn't like touching people at all he especially despised hugs but he couldn't stand to see you cry like that so he just did the only thing he felt was right.
