2 weeks later

Hadley POV

"i can't stand this its been two weeks and they haven't said a word to each other" i complained for Max.

"Coopers been a mess, i have never seen him like this" Max sighed.

"we need to do something, i know that they are ment to be together" i just wanted to help.

"well i think we should let them work it out on there own. it would be wrong to get involved." Max insisted.

"i just can't help it, Dylan is so sad. she's not herself" it was true.

"Cooper either" Max sighed.

"did he even tell you what happened?" i wondered.

"nah" Max admits.

"Dylan only told me that he didn't trust her. but i don't know what was said" i gave my knowledge of the situation to Max.

"see i think that it came across as not trusting. but it was more of a jealously thing. Cooper is very territorial" Max disclosed.

"mhm maybe, see we need to get the two of them in a room together. two weeks is long enough." i stood up from his couch.

"baby i really don't think we should get involved" Max grabbed my waist to pull me back down. but i didn't give in, i had to do something to get the two of them to talk.

they where both stubborn and would do it themselves.

"well to bad, i will do it myself if you don't want to help me." i crossed my arms over my chests.

"alright fine, what did you have in mind?" he caved like i knew he would.

"well the Beach Hut is having live music and half priced drinks" i tell him.

"alright i can talk to Cooper not to sure what he will say, the beach is where he first asked her out. so it might be a turn off, but i will try. are we keeping this a secret?" i was glad he was willing to try.

"well if you can then yes, but if he asks and you think it's the right call then tell him." i decided.

"alright." he nodded.

"okay good i am going to go talk to Dylan" i went to go to the door.

"hey now kiss" he called out.

"right sorry i am excited" i went back and kissed him.

"alright good luck" he offered as he pulled away.

"you too, now i think we should meet there at seven?l" i thought that was an okay time.

"seven" he agreed.

"alright text me how it goes." i wanted to be kept in the loop.

"will do" he agreed so i left and made my way back to my place.

"Dylan" i called out as i walked in. and she was in the same spot as when i left.

laying down in the couch in her pjs watching netflix.

"mhm" was she said.

i grabbed the remote off the table and turned off the Tv.

"hey" she tried to grab it from me.

"nope, you are getting off this couch. we are going out tonight. you have been moping around any free chance you have and it ends now" i was stern.

"i don't want to go out anywhere" she complained.

"well to bad, get up and go shower." i grabbed her arms and pulled her up off the couch.

"where are we going?" she asked once she was off the couch.

"the Beach Hut, they have live music tonight. and always have good food" i informed her.

"Hadley" she groaned.

"whip that look off your face" i knew why she didn't want to go.

"your supposed to be my best friend" she grumbled as we walked to her room.

" i am which is why i am doing this for you. you need to get out, have some fun and relax." i started to look threw her clothes.

"but the Beach Hut of all places" she flopped down on her bed.

"you can't avoid everywhere you have been to with him. i mean you see him at school" i justified.

"not really, i try and avoid him as much as possible" which i knew was the truth.

"girl you need to sit down and talk with him. you don't have to get back together, but you both need closure" i put out.

she didn't say anything, she knew i was right.

"alright get up and shower" i tell her.

"be honest with me, your inviting him tonight aren't you" she looked me in the eyes.

i knew i couldn't lie to her, so i was honest. "yes Max is over there right now trying to convince him to come"

"can't we just not go?" she pushed.

"no your going now get in the shower, before i undress you myself. you know i will" i was serious and she knew it.

"fine i hate you" she grumbled.

"love you too" i laughed as she made her way to the shower.

my phone buzz and i saw a text from Max.

he had to make this work, my plan depended on him getting Cooper there. Dylan stepped out of the shower a few minutes later and my phone buzzed just as she walked into the room.

i couldn't help but smile, every thing was going to work out. and i couldn't be more happy about that.

"what's got you all smiley?" Dylan questioned.

"nothing you need to worry about, now come sit so can blow dry your hair" i pulled out her chair by her vanity.

Max POV

i knew Hadley meant well but i just hope i can pull this off, Cooper is stubborn as shit. i don't even really know what i am going to say, do i tell him? i feel like if i tell him he will back out. so i will just have to think of something.

i knocked on his door, and heard him coming to open it. he looked rough, he had circles under his eyes. and his hair was all over the place.

"hey man" i offered a smile as i walked inside.

"ya hey" he walked over to the couch. i noticed it had pillows and blankets on it which was weird.

"so what you doing tonight" i brought up.

"nothing much, i got an assignment i have to finish. no matter how much i don't want to, but i have slacked off enough." he tells me with a shrug.

"well i was thinking, Beach Hut? they have live music and half price drinks tonight." i wanted this to work.

"nah not feeling it" he rushed right out.

"come on man, it will be good to get out." i pushed.

"dude i literally have to finish this assignment, i can't push it off any longer." he grumbled.

i knew this would be tough. pulled out my phone and texted Hadley to see how it was going on her end. (not posting the phone conversation cause we know how it goes.)

i sighed but knew that this was important to her, so i decided to try again.

"what if i do it for you? i can finish it later tonight." i decided to say to see if that worked.

"why the heck do you want me to go out so bad? something happened to you?" he raised an eyebrow in question.

"nah man, you just seemed bummed out. so i figured get you out of the house, have some fun. a few drinks shoot the shit. just like old times" i hopped this worked.

"fine i will go, but you better hold your end of the bargain" he have me a stern look.

thank god that worked, "promise"

i texted Hadley back, and i wasn't kidding when i said she owed me for this shit. it's literally a miracle i got him to come. i decide to see if he was willing to talk about Dylan.

"so you don't have to answer, but what really happened between you too?" i went for it.

he groaned, "i don't even know. i was just so blinded by jealousy. that i said something out of anger, and she was already really heated. it just escalated" he ran his hands over his face.

"okay but what i don't understand is, why did you show up there when you knew she would be pissed?" i had been wondering for a while now.

"i don't know, she wasn't answering me, and she hung up on me. i just was mad" he was struggling to get out.

"so you don't trust her? i mean she was with Hadley." i kept the ball rolling.

"i do trust her i really do, i just it's lame" he was shutting down, but i knew he needed to vent so i pushed.

"what's lame i don't understand"

"i just sometimes feel like i am not good enough for her, so i got all in my head about it. thinking she was meeting with someone else. i know she wasn't, i just i mean she could literally have anyone" he sighed and i was slowly staring to understand.

"i can understand where your coming from, but to her you showing up shows you didn't trust her. and trust is a big part of being in a relationship ship" i articulated.

"i know i just wish she would pick up, i texted her and called her for two days and nothing. she won't even look at me in the halls or at the field. i need to find someway to talk to her" he sighed.

i decided it was time. "i lied" i blurted

he looked confused so i continued, "i only invited you to come to the Beach Hut, cause Hadley wanted to get you and Dylan into a spot that you could talk" i confessed.

he looked shocked, "dose she know i am coming?" he asked.

"she dose, but she doesn't know that you know. cause i texted Hadley that you didn't earlier." i came clean.

"your girlfriend is literally amazing" he smiled.

"you don't think i don't know that" i grinned.

"okay i need to get myself together, there is no way in hell i am looking like a mess while trying to get my girl back" he stood up and went off down the hall to his room.

i can't believe i almost didn't agree to this, my girl really knows her stuff. she's literally amazing and honestly i am in love with her, i don't care how long we been together, or what my parents think. Hadley is literally the girl for me.
