《The Cheerleader Vs The QB **Complete **》4

Dylan POV
today is the big day, the first game of the season. we have been practicing for this day for weeks. i know that our team is ready. And this is also a lot of pressure in me, cause this is the first time that Crimson Tide is hosting a home game for the start of the season in ten years. (okay first of all don't know if that's true. but for the sake of my story it is.)
so we where doing something extra special, so that people could remember today.
"Hadley you ready to go?" i called out.
"ya just tying my shoes." she called out.
since Hadley was riding we me, she was going to be early. cause as captain i wanted to make sure i was the first one there. just to check and make sure everything is in order. plus i wanted to make sure that i was totally warmed up, because it was slightly cool outside.
"ready captain" Hadley came rushing into the living room.
"alright let's head out." i announced.
we pulled up to the parking lot, and there was a couple cars here already. i noticed that Coach was stepping out of her car just as i was.
"Morris glad to see you taking this serious." she smiled.
"thanks coach, i just wanted to make sure that everything was in order before we go out. you know safety first can never be to careful" i justified.
"very true, i am slowly regretting not putting you in sooner. now your leaving us next year." Coach says.
"don't worry coach i will come back and visit. and i can help you with the summer program. we can whip the new captain into shape, but on a positive note. you still have a full season. so let's go out there with the best team spirt." i was trying to stay positive.
"your right Morris, alright you and Jennings go check and make sure everything is in order." Coach smiled.
we nodded in agreement, i went to check the field, while Hadley went to gather the pom pom.
"well what do we have here?" i turned around and was met with a face i have never seen before.
i didn't know what to say, but clearly he did.
"you must be Dylan Morris." he smirked.
"ya so what's it to you?" i placed my hand on my hip.
"oh sassy i like it, i am Conner Hamilton." he smirked.
"and i am busy so you can leave" i didn't have time for this.
"no need to be so hostile just trying to get to know you a bit. i mean you will be cheering for me tonight. so you might as well get a good look at what it is your cheering for." what is with this football team and there egos.
"listen i don't know if you know this, but i don't cheer for individual players. i cheer for the whole team, and incase you didn't know there is no I in team." i condemned.
"well there is and M and and E and that spell me. but i totally think that when the team wins, you should come to my after party. it's going to be epic" he tells me.
"not really that into parties." it was the truth.
"well-" he stared but was cut off.
"Hamilton get over here and leave the girl alone." it was there coach that called out.
"we will continue this conversation later" he winked then ran over to his coach.

"ugh i hope not." i rolled my eyes. then went back to checking the field.
once i checked it over i made my way back to where Hadley and the rest of the team was. they all looked sharp in there uniforms. ( the uniform is at the very start of the chapter)
i made my way over to Hadley right away.
"you will never guess what just happened" i rushed out.
"what? did Cooper hit on you?" she looked curious.
"no Conner Hamilton. and he invited me to his party." i informed her.
"he's such a pig." Had rolled her eyes.
"i know he is, he only left because there coach called him away." i tell her.
"well you know we have been working pretty hard. i think it would be kinda nice to unwind at a party." Hadley says.
"you want to go?" i asked her.
"i mean it could be fun." she decided.
"well it's not my thing, but i think you should go. have some fun" i tell her.
"come on Dyl, you know i hate going to parties alone. will you come with me?" she pleaded.
i thought it over for a second, i mean i guess it couldn't hurt. it's not like i have any homework to work on tomorrow. plus i did drag her to the diner so i guess i kind of owe her this.
"fine but only because i dragged your ass to that diner, so we can call it even" i tell her.
"your the best, thank you" she was happy.
"i know i am, i will be back i just got to go check in with coach." i informed her.
she nodded and went back to what she was doing before i came over.
"field look good?" coach asked as i approached her.
"yes coach" i tell her.
she nodded, and i knew it was time to do a pep talk and warm up.
"alright team it's the big day today, game day. and we are starting off at home. so we have to make sure that we go out there loud and proud. let the other team now that they are in or territory. we have practice hard theses last couple days, our routine is solid. so let's start with some stretching. then we will do a quick run threw. any questions before we begin?" i looked at coach and she looked pleased with my speech.
no one had any questions, so we started to warm up. then we did our run threw of our cheer.once it was five minutes to game time, i looked up and the stands where packed with people. from our school, but also people from Ohio State (but mostly our school).
"alright team we are ready, i want everyone to have a good time. and lets all try to stay safe." i gave a quick pep talk.
we walked on to the field, and stated to cheer as our foot ball team ran out of the tunnel and on to the field. the crowd was going crazy as our team came out, hoping and hollering. i also swear i saw Conner wink at me, which totally creeped me out. and i am pretty sure Cooper smack him on the back of the head, but i couldn't let that shake me i had to stay focused.
Cooper POV
Game day the day every sport player lives for. And this year there was crazy pressure on me, it's my senior year when people look at getting drafted into the pros. Also the fact that we are three for three in national titles, there hasn't been a team that has gone four and 0 since my dads years.
so we have to go all the way this year, and keep our streak going. it's what is expected of me to do. To carry the team to another National title. it's been my job since sophomore year when i was picked as captain. which is crazy because usually it's only juniors and seniors for captain. i am one of the very few people who have ever been captain as a sophomore.
which that alone is a ton of pressure in its self. but i strive to be the best at what i do, and being under pressure is all apart of that.
"you ready to go?" Max called out to get my attention.
"ya" i grabbed the keys to my truck.
"who's having the after party? do you know?" Max asked as we climbed into my truck.
"i am pretty sure it's Conner Hamilton" i wasn't positive to that though.
"nice he throws epic party's" Max was right he did.
"i know" i agreed with him.
we pulled up to the parking lot, and i noticed a familiar range rover a coupe cars down. she was just stepping out of her car, i was going to go over to her but she was talking to her coach.
so i decided that i would do it later, after the game is over. because right now i just need to stay in game mode. my mind has to be one hundred percent focused if we want to win. i walked into the locker room so i could drop my bag in the locker and lace up my cleats. i was only in my warm up gear just to throw the ball around.
Max wasn't to far behind me, when we got on the field so we could throw the ball around. i noticed that Conner Hamilton was chatting up Dylan. i don't know why but it kinda pissed me off. seeing the way he was eyeing her up.
but i could tell she wasn't impressed, she had that look of i don't have time for no bullshit in her eyes. a look i myself am very familiar with. which made me slightly relived to see.
"Dude" Max yelled across from me.
i snapped my eyes over to him, and it was a good thing to cause i was almost hit with a football. i caught it before it could hit me.
"why would you throw the ball if you knew i wasn't paying attention?" i grumbled.
"you caught it didn't you" he countered me.
"ass hole" i grumbled.
"oh i am sorry i didn't hear you" Max was being a dip shit.
"Hamilton get over here, and leave the girl alone." Coach yelled out.
he gave Dylan one last look, then ran over to coach. who i could tell was scolding him.
"severs him right" i muttered under my breath.
"alright boys gather up" coach called us all over.
we all huddled in a circle around him.
"i know a lot of you boys, this is your final season. so i just want you guys to play your hearts out. i want us to play like the team i know we are. because if we play as a team we will do unimaginable things this season. now go get padded up and be back here in fifteen, so we can run laps and get lose." he clapped his hands to signal the conversation is over.
we all nodded and headed to the locker room. this was going to be a good first game, because Ohio State is a good team. i know we can beat them we have many times, but it's always been a tight game between us. once we where all padded up we made our way out and coach hollered at us to start running laps.
after what felt like forever with the nervous and the pep talks, it was time time take the field. we load in the tunnel and once we all in coach gives me the nod. so we start to run out. being greeted with thousands of fans, and the cheerleaders shaking there pom pom.
"alright boys game time now." Coach patted my shoulder.
—————————-
"we won" I cheered and the team and i jumped into a circle to celebrate. the fans where going crazy. the final score was 23 to 28 we obviously had the 28. it was a close game, and we started off losing. but after half time we just came back out on the field better stronger and won the game.
it was an awesome feeling winning the first game of the season, and was the icing on the cake to win at home.
"party at my house" Conner yelled out which caused a reactions of cheers.
i noticed Dylan grabbing her water bottle of the bench, so i took this as my time to approach her.
"so glad you could cheer me on during the big win" i moved so i was beside her.
she jumped in fright, since she obviously didn't here me come up.
"i didn't cheer you on, i cheered the whole team. there is a difference." she rolled her eyes.
"well the way i see it is that you where cheering for me. since i am apart of that team. so technically you still cheered for me." i smirked.
"what is with your team and there huge over inflated egos. i mean seriously, ever heard of this trait called modesty." she grumbled.
"we are just confident that's all" i shrugged.
"whatever" she uttered and then walked away. causing me to laugh, she's so easy to bug.
"your terrible you know that" Max came over to me.
"i can't help it, she's so easy to bug"i chuckled.
"i don't understand you sometime" he patted my shoulder and then walked off. i knew he was headed to the locker room. so i followed him so that i could shower and change.
once i was all showered and changed i then knew i had to go meet the cameras for an interview. which i really didn't feel like doing but knew i had to. thankful it was a quick one and i was able to meet my parents.
"you did so good" mom rushed over to me. and wrapped her arms around me.
"thanks mom" i smiled and then pulled away.
"that was quite the pass you threw there at the end of the game." Dad commented.
"thanks" i had a slight smile.
"that was a strong comeback, some times you just need that little brake and then refocus for the second half." dad spoke.
i just nodded my head in agreement to him.
"alright well you go have fun and celebrate with the team." mom smiled.
"buy love you both" i tell them, then start to make my way to my truck. where Max is waiting. and to my surprise he isn't alone. he's looking flirty with non other then Hadley Jennings.
"so you going to come to the after party?" he questioned her.
"not totally sure yet." she was twirling her hair around her finger.
"well if you do decide to show up, save me a dance?" he asked.
"maybe" she smirked then tuned and walked away. and the horny basted watched her ass as she walked.
"you done" i nudged him.
"hey you can't talk, you do the same thing. i can't help but admit she has a great ass." Max remarked.
"come on let's go get ready" i climbed into my truck.
