《Hero Of Olympus》The battle

As soon as I was a few yards away from the house, a shockwave of wind threw me into the air.
I landed painfully on my side somewhere on the beach. I looked out towards the ocean and saw thirty foot waves approaching us. I tried to control it but it had too much momentum. Someone grabbed me from behind and teleported away.
Once my vission cleared, I realised that I was floating in the air on top of a cloud of stars. I looked down and gasped. The island has been completely submerged. I looked next to me at Asteria, who just shrugged. The island then slowly lifted upwards and out of the water.
"The ocean is fighting with itself," Asteria sighed.
"Poseidon and Pontus," I guessed.
She nodded.
"I need to help my dad."
"Don't interfere, you'll disintegrate in the presence of their true form. It's a wonder Poseidon is still fighting."
I wanted to argue but knew she was right.
Another loud boom rattled by eardrums and was followed up by another shockwave of air. I could only pray to the gods that the mortals weren't effected.
The next boom was so strong that I nearly passed out, seeing nothing but black spots.
That's when I threw all logic out of the window and dived into the water. I then willed the currents to fire me in the direction of the origin of the the shockwaves.
Fortunately it worked. Unfortunately, it worked a bit too well. Everything around me became a blur and folded into a ball similar to a golf ball.
Just as quickly as it happened, I was spat out on some beach somewhere on the planet. You can't expect me to know where I was can you?
I looked around the beach and saw my dad and Pontus glaring at each other around fifty feet apart.

The ground was littered with craters and the sand everywhere was burnt.
Interesting. They weren't in their true form.
Pontus' eyes glowed and a tsunami like wave powerful enough to wipe out an entire city approached the coast. It was nearly as tall as the Empire State building and cast a long shadow on us.
My dad yelled in defiance and planted his trident in the ground, causing an invisible force to disrupt the wave and turn a part of it into water vapour and the rest into spray of water. A loud boom and a powerful shockwave followed this.
Neither deity noticed me and seemed to be having a staring contest.
"Hey!"
Pontus glanced at me and I had the wind knocked out of me as I was blown back into the water.
I decided to show off as well and flew out of the water, Riptide uncapped and slashed towards Pontus, who easily parried it with a blade of his own.
I then began to relentlessly slash, dodge, kick and attack him with everything I had.
The primordial seemed to have had enough of me as he parried my last strike and backhanded me with his left hand. I flew for a good second before crashing into a mound of sand, scraping my elbows and neck horribly.
My entire body burned in pain and I couldn't move at all.
My dad sent a beam of energy at Pontus , who just absorbed it and launched himself at my dad.
My dad met his attack with his trident and blasted Pontus away, who simply levitated before swooping back and striking my dad's trident with his sword . This sent anothe boom which pushed me deeper into the sand.
A tiny crab next to me took one look at the fight and proceeded to dig its way deeper into the sand.

Sometimes I wish I could retreat like that instead lying there like a paralised person.
Then the sky rumbled and Pontus roared.
"I don't need an army!"
"I don't need time!"
"I don't need heroes!"
"You need all three! You're pathetic!"
With each sentence, Pontus sent explosions of power towards my dad, who just flashed away before they could reach him.
The furious Primordial turned towards me with glowing eyes and launched himself at me. I had no time to think of any last words or classy comebacks about his silly beard or ugly sword as a two foot long double edged sword made of some cool looking metal went right through my body, stabbing through several organs that felt very very important.
Let me just tell you this, it felt extremely painful. It burned worse than Gorgoon's blood, it srubg worse than Kronos' sythe, and hurt worse than a dip in the Styx, worse than holding up the sky. It felt worseworse than being tossed across the planet by Tartarus.
Safe to say I was in a lot of pain.
I yelled out the most gattural yell I've ever heard. Ten foot tall waves crashed into me and thousands of tendrils of lightning rained down from the sky, blasting both me and Pontus into the air, a good five hundred feet high before I uncapped Riptide in my pocket, using all my remaining energy. Pontus recovered from his shock and dived towards me at the same time. Riptide tore through my pocket at the same time.
I crashed into the ground, losing all my senses, coated in silver ichor knowing that the primordial had dived into Riptide mid air, outside his domain.

Over the course of several weeks Marith learns that, together with her Chain, she is expected to save this fabric of reality, by fighting a mysterious and immortal creature and his aggressive pet.
