Jen and Daisy came out, talking about how awesome the movie was, and I just kept smiling saying the same three words – really, wow, awesome – over and over again. They didn't seem to notice that I turned into a broken recorder, and just continued to gush over the movie.
We, or was it they, decided to take out some ice cream at McDonalds before heading home. I decided I would just wait for them outside, because I don't feel like eating something cold tonight.
As I was standing on a pole near the store, someone suddenly crept to my side, and it was Marcus. A thief would have been predictable. But him? A total complete annihilation-- I mean surprise.
What the hell is up with this family? Can't they simply walk in front and say hi.
"Marcus! What are you doing here?" I was shocked both by his sudden appearance, well actually him in general, he looks freaking stunning.
He's wearing a black leather jacket underneath a white shirt, that makes him look like an action star. I wouldn't be surprised if his riding a big bike, and a shotgun in tow.
He shrugged. "Well, I simply passed by and saw you. So I had to say hi."
"Are the rest here?"
"No. It's just me."
"Why are you on this side of town? It's pretty far from your home."
He shrugged again. "That's not important dear. What's important is your sinking ship."
Okay. I'm confused.
The expression on my face probably gave a big clue on what's going on inside my head.
He laughed. "My dear. Your friendship with Tristan is what I'm talking about." I only replied with a prolonged Ooooh. Finally getting it.
"He doesn't make much friends because of his demeanor. So it was rare for me, for us, that he found someone like you. Someone with the same logic as his mother." I laughed, a bit overwhelmed being compared to the goddess of sarcasm.

"Now that's some mother-complex issue he got there." I said and Marcus laughed. "In a serious note though, I think both Tristan and I needs some time to fix our ship."
"Yes. That's true dear, but the longer it takes the bigger the hole. The two of you might need to patch things up, fast."
He does have a point, but how? Tristan already shut his doors. I don't know if a simple knock would let me in. I have more questions lining up for Marcus, but the moment my eyes left the floor and back to him, he's gone. On cue Daisy and Jen came out the store with ice cream in hand, they even bought me one. Now I have no choice but to eat it, hoping it might help lighten up the mood.
We arrived at our apartment shocked to see someone standing by our gate. As we got closer, I now have a clearer view on who that person is, and it's Will. Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if Divina's going to welcome me home, when I'm in my room.
"Hey." I greeted him. Will didn't replied back but simply walked towards me, and grabbed my arm.
Oh he's pissed. The hulk is back.
"I need to talk to you." He paused and looked at my friends. "Can I borrow her for a sec?" They simply nodded.
"Let's talk in the car." He said in all seriousness. That's new, I didn't know he had one. He brought me to his black Subaru that was parked a few blocks from our apartment. When were both inside, that's when he exploded.
"Why the fuck won't you answer my calls and texts?" He blurted out without filter.
I looked at the window. "I'm sorry." I simply said, because I can't come up with any excuses or reasons, which would probably just drag things up.

"I thought you're strong enough to face anything." He said, his voice never lowered its volume.
"I was scared of Tristan. Okay?" I paused and covered my face. "He... Uhm... Ch... Trans..." I stuttered, I just can't find the right word to describe him on that moment.
"He was not himself." Will continued my sentence, as he relaxed and slumped his head on the headrest. His voice was now a bit calm and even lower than mine.
I didn't say anything but just nodded in agreement to what he just said.
"Tristan was strong though. To be able to hold it for that long. I, on the other hand, ran. I didn't have the strength to fight it."
"I have no idea what you're talking about." I said, as I looked at him. He was lost in his own thoughts looking at the far distance.
"All that blood. It was tempting. It blinds us to act and not think. Like animals does." He continued, his words were like puzzles I can't put together.
"Will. Seriously, cut the chase and go straight to the point."
"We're vampires Victoria." Okay that caught me off-guard.
I laughed pretty hard at what he said. He seriously got me on that, it was really funny. But why isn't he laughing with me. I looked back at Will, his face was serious and dark.
I wiped the tears in my eyes. "That was hilarious. Really what's the deal?"
He sighed heavily, and then opened his mouth as wide as it can. I wasn't sure what I saw, but when the light hit Will's teeth, my eyes widened. He has fangs!
Without much thought I reached for it and touched it, making sure it's not plastic. My finger traced the cold white foreign thing on Will's body, it was sharp and pointy at the tip, like a small stake. It's probably sharp enough to pierce through the skin, as swift as butter.
When my brain confirmed it was real, automatically, my body's reaction was to go on full shutdown. Everything turned black, and the last thing I saw was Will's light brown eyes, that was looking at me, full of concern.
I woke up in my own room.
What a weird dream.

Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends
In the civilized world of humans, 'monsters' have all but passed into legend. But when something goes bump in the night, when people begin to disappear, when a dark mystery begins to haunt even the most peaceful villages, there is only one organization to turn to: the Hunters. The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them. Horrors yet unknown even to him and his many scars await in the claws, talons, fangs, and mysterious powers of creatures so far beyond humans that he must dedicate himself entirely to the art of slaying them. Harboring a secret of his own and in a constant struggle to find answers while maintaining his sanity, however, Caiden begins to ask the age-old question... Who is truly worse, the monsters or the Men? Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends is an episodic collection of stories, each of which stand on its own, but they also build upon each other in a consecutive order, bridging a gap between a novel and short story collection. These stories follow monster hunter Caiden Voros and his partner Gwen Vergil as they embark on tales of mystery, horror, and adventure to track down monsters - the living dead, beast-men, shape-shifters, spirits, and many more - that would do harm to innocent lives and, by whatever means necessary, put a stop to their terrors. Their motives, however, are not always what they seem.
