I watched people walk up to Menchi,she didn't even dare to touch the food as her friend consumed them. So far everyone who has gone up has failed"there's no way that she can fail me." I said standing in line,Killua next to me"is that so?" I nod"of course. I know how to cook properly!" I brag"uh-huh. Sure." I glare at him"you don't even know good food until you taste my mom bread." Killua's brows furrow"bread?" I nod"my family owns a sweets and bread shop." I explain"I work there,or I guess worked there." Killua nods"so that's where you learned to cook?" I nod"I'm kinda upset that we were provided with nothing to make bread from." I admit"that's really the only thing I'm good at."
"Next!" Menchi screeches"oh gotta go." Killua then walks up and judging from her reaction,he failed. Killua didn't say anything and silently walked off"next!" I walked up and set the plate on the table"it looks different from everyone else's." She states"really?" I ask hope in my voice as she nods as her friend takes it and eats it. A few seconds later and I'm walking off.
"How did it go?" I look up at Killua,a frown on my face"they said it wasn't good!" I cried"and I went threw all that trouble!" Killua pats my head as I feel my cheeks burn a little"it's ok Y/N. She can't fail everyone." I sigh and swat his hand away"but what if she does?" I continue"that means I have to return home empty handed!" I exclaim"what's so wrong with that?" I cross my arms"B/N will laugh at me and tell everyone in the town about how stupid I was for even thinking I could do this exam..."I admit"I mean,if you fail you have next year."

I look at Killua to see him staring at me. His eyes held a little bit of sympathy"oh stop acting like you feel bad. You'll probably end up beating this thing mr.assassin. You're a somebody. And I'm a nobody." He rolls his eyes"now you're sounding like a child."
"Alright everyone! It's over!" I turn to see Menchi still sitting in her chair"THE SECOND PHASE IS OVER! AND NOBODY PASSED!" Soon chatter was among us,people saying how 'this must be a joke' and just people in disbelief. "See? I told you..."I muttered to Killua but soon after a loud crack was heard.
I saw a fat man with his hands in a fist. "If she thinks I'm just going to give up...I CAME HERE TO BE A HUNTER!" He stomps over time the teal haired girl"to bad." She sighs out"just tell yourself you're not as lucky. Try our next year." She states as the man growls and gets closer"ARE YOU MOCKING ME?!"
Then Menchi's friend punched him and he basically flew out the small building(?). The girl says something before standing up and 2 long kitchen(?) knives are in her hands. She rambled for a while until a new voice was heard.
We looked up to see a giant float,it was the Examination Comity. Soon someone was seen jumping out of it,and down came an old man wearing blue.
"Netero,president of the comity. The man responsible for the trials." Menchi explains"I'm responsible for all of this. However I'm only a executor. I'm here to solve these types of problems." Menchi talked about the problem for a while. Menchi finally turned to us"a hard boiled egg!" She exclaims"chairman,do you think you can give us a ride to the mountain?" The chairman nods"of course. I see no problem."
