《Start A Fire In My Heart (Grillby x Reader)》Chapter 3

(See end of the chapter for notes)
After watching season one of Sherlock you got bored. You decided to do some housework that you had been neglecting. You got up and grillby spared you a glance and continued watching Sherlock. Grabbing your phone you popped in your ear buds and turned on your music. Heading to the kitchen you turned on the water and grabbed to sponge to start washing dishes.
After completing that you dried your hands carefully and went to start in laundry. You grabbed all the clothes astray on the floor and the laundry detergent and headed downstairs to the laundry room. You passed by grillby and told him where you were going. He nodded in response and turned off the TV.
"Oh would you like to come along?''
He nodded again. Alright then. You leaned the basket down enough for him to jump into and he settled on the back corner if the basket, slightly leaning back to you.
You unlocked your door and stepped out into the hallway, locking it once more. You set down the hallway with a fast paste, you didn't really trust your neighbors. Not that they had been aggressive to you in anyway in the past, but you weren't sure how well they would react to you keeping a monster with you.
Going down the stairs your thoughts continued. Mrs.Hufson most likely wouldn't mind but some of the newer ones might. You sigh, stepping into the laundry room. You take grillby out of the basket and put him on a spare towel that was laying on a dryer. You take the clothes out of the basket and just dump them in there. You pour your detergent on top of them and shut the lid. You slide $5 ( idk how much they cost shush) into the money slot and pressed start on the machine. It rattles to life, filling the room with a metallic rhythmic clinging.

.
Its very quiet. Grillby has fallen asleep under the warm towel and you're on your pone.
Clomp Clomp Clomp
You look up from your phone. Footsteps. To heavy for your elderly neighbor. To heavy for anything under 500 pounds. And you were right. Coming down the stairs was a greasy human with their hair slicked back to far it could reach the 80's. You could smell the whiskey from the doorway. This would be trouble. You just knew it. The man walked in and stared at you, looking you up and down. Disgusting. You continue to ignore him, for his own good.
"Hey lil lady"
You gaze stayed on your phone.
"I said, hey"
...
"Listen here you slut!"
He walked towards to you, slightly wobbly. You finally looked up and met his gaze.
"I would stay back if I were you."
Your voice was calm and collected.
"Or wha you bitch?"
His words slurred slightly.
"Or else."
He was apparently angered by that as he charged you way but you dodged to the side. He was not so graceful and ran into a washing machine.
"Careful. You break it you buy it."
He charged again. You slid on the floor and curled you leg in slightly, making him trip and fall on his face, rendering him unconscious for the moment.
Like you would live in the city alone without some form of defense. You weren't just a pretty face. You got a lot of harassment considering your last job, so you were used to this.
The blanket stirred behind you and suddenly the room was illuminated by a large light. You spun around only to come face to face with a now large grillby with a sleepy expression and a towel on his head.
Wow
That's all your brain could come up with at the moment.
He's hot.
Well also that.

Demons Don't Lie
Algier, average human and recent convict, has committed the gravest sin of all: demon slaying. His fate? To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image

Dark blood
A young man oblivious to the blinding lights until the end, presented with a choice, makes a decision that will influence his life. In a far away land, a woman births a stillborn, the homes of thousands are in danger, and a world that is filled with all kinds of dangers, magical energies, and untold treasures is about to enter an age of turmoil and conflict. An age of death, destruction, and slaughtering of the innocent. In such a world, a cry of anguish can lead to a small hope, a cry of desperation can lead to a warm and loving embrace , and a cry of helplessness can lead to freedom. Will one man rise above all, or will he fail to stand up from the dirt from whence he came? We can only find out in the future, can't we? PS: This is my first fiction, so I would really appreciate some feedback, since I don't know if it is any good at all. Also, the creator of the cover is winRoot. If you want a good cover or something illustrated, he is a very good artist and will take commisions. I highly recommend him.
