He led me to a lake, we were currently walking towards a canoe. We walked in a comfortable silence. I knew nothing about this man beside me but I trusted him with my life. My wolf was quiet, so that too led me to believe that we weren't in any kind of danger. When we arrived he pushed it onto the water then helped me into the small boat. I grabbed the paddle whilst he climbed on.

He raised a brow, "Do you even know how to paddle?"

"I do not but I will learn." I replied, "How hard could it possibly be?"

He chuckled, "Fine, expert learner. Let's see how far you can get us."

Nowhere. I got us nowhere, we were going round and round in circles!

"How is this even possible!" I yelled, frustrated.

He didn't answer he just continued to laugh at my expense. Tears even brimmed us eyes as he continued to laugh. I was incredibly fed up and threw the paddle at him, crossing my legs. He caught it but lost his balance, now with his height he nearly took us both down. Water splashed in, wetting our bottoms.

His eyes were as wide as saucers, obviously taken by the idea of almost tipping over. It was my turn to laugh at his expense, and oh did I.

"You should've s-seen y-your f-face!" I laughed.

He quietly paddled further into the lake and looked at me when he was satisfied with the distance he had created between us and the shore, "Can you swim?"

Confused I raised a brow, "Yes."

I wish I had lied, he smirked and tipped us over. I screamed and fell right in, I swam up and looked for him but couldn't find him. Oh no, I thought. Just as the thought crossed my mind it came to life as he grabbed my leg and brought me under water. We came up at the right time and he was all smiles, the sun shining on him. He was glistening, a true beauty.

He had beautiful chestnut skin that shone like honey, dark brown eyes and the frizziest puff of hair on his head that had slight remnants of curls now that it was wet. Don't get me started on his lips they looked edible. Yes. I said edible, behind them stood his Colgate white smile and perfectly aligned teeth.

"No." He whispered, "Eyes up here. Don't tempt me."

A light laugh escaped me, raised my eyes to his chocolatey ones.

I couldn't get used to how he looked at me with so much intensity, like he was analysing me. Afraid I would vanish for eternity and never be his. But all we had was eternity, I was sworn to be his.

"What's your name?" He finally asked.

I put my hands on his shoulders, tired of keeping myself afloat.

"Lerato." I answered, "Yours?"

"Mo –" He laughed, "Micah."

"Micah." I repeated.

He shook his head, "No, My-cah."

"Oh, sorry." I giggled, "I like it."

"Thank you. We should probably get back. Your friends are probably worried and I have to get back to Maddy." He mumbled the last part but I know he knows I heard it.

He flipped the canoe back onto its right side and helped me back on, "Honestly, you're lucky it's hot or else I would be freezing and that would be a big problem." I mumbled angrily.

He got on and chuckled, "I'll count that as a blessing."

"Maybe I should paddle." I mused, wanting to buy more time with him.

"Oh, not a chance sweetheart. I don't want to see Ma –"

"You can stop bringing her up." I snapped.

He stopped paddling and looked at me in shock, he almost looked to be in disbelief that I had snapped. "I don't mean to offend you by speaking about her, Lerato."

"You can just say Lera." I rolled my eyes, I hadn't heard my full name in ages and I'm not quite sure I wanted to hear him call me so formally.

"Is that what everybody calls you?"

"Yes."

"Then I'll go for Lee, rather."

I smiled, "I like that." The thought of him having his own personalized nickname for me made my heart feel a lot warmer.

We walked back hand-in-hand and I loved the feel of the electricity. It wasn't as shocking anymore. I guess it lessens in intensity the more you touch. When we arrived at the same hidden corner by the bakery he let go.

"Thank you." I smiled.

He nodded, eyes scrunched as if in thought, his hand went to touch the bags under my eyes. "Don't lose sleep over me. You'll end up with insomnia, I didn't lie when I said you won't see me again. This was..." He sighed, "I..."

"What?" I held his other hand, "What is it Micah? Why wouldn't I see you again, I'm your mate."

He chuckled humourlessly, "Don't come looking for me," Seeing that I was about to object he shook his head, "I'll come to you, Lerato."

This time I didn't think too much about it all, although I was incredibly confused I didn't doubt nor question Micah. Even though I felt more at peace about him, I still kept him to myself.

Every time I would wonder about Maddy my wolf would tell me to stop but the idea of her made me uneasy. Who was she and why did she look so, by all means hooked onto my mate and why did he seem to care so much about her? Was she his girlfriend? As frowned upon as it is to have a partner before finding your mate plenty wolves did it.

So had he?

Stop it, Lerato.

Oh, as if you're not dying to know.

He wouldn't have told us not to worry if she was someone of substance.

You trust too easy.

"Oh would you look, it's Mrs. I'll Be Back." Amanda said as she walked into my room.

I was packing, ready to return to my own home.

"You know, she did that to me too last night." Danica said.

"But I returned!" I said, feeling very ambushed by my best friends.

"Yah, but once again it was hours later and time to leave. Hardly counts as returning." She countered.

"Ugh." Is all I could manage, "You're slowing me down."

They laughed, lending me a hand with getting my stuff all packed. We stuffed the bags in my G63 and hit the road, I looked at my rear-view mirror and sighed at the thought of leaving this place with a mate.

"How many packs do you think surround this land? Besides ours, of course."

Amanda snickered, "I don't know Alpha's daughter, isn't that something you should know?"

"Not exactly." I shrugged, "You know TJ deals with all of that stuff. He loves it."

TJ is my eldest brother, I am the third and final child of Anda and Thato Zamo. With two older brothers, Thato Jr and Anathi. Now with TJ being the eldest, he will obviously take over from my father and he is greatly excited, fully taking in everything that his future role will entail. So he knew all kinds of things about our pack and the surrounding areas which would obviously include the packs there.

I would include the Royal City but I'm not sure any pack has additional information about it.

"Well it is his future role and all so I would hope that it's his kinda thing and he loves it." She scoffs.

Danica was in her own car, riding in front of us. Now silence had encompassed the car, I clicked on Scorpion and blasted "Nice For What" as Amanda and I sang along to Drake.
