this was inspired by this boy at my school.
he's literally the most adorable boy everrrrrr!
y'already know who it is!

I walked through the school doors and sighed. Another long day of dreading school.
I glance around and see him. My eyes don't leave his eyes.
The most dazzling eyes I've ever seen.
"Y/n!" My best friend, Y/f, snapped her fingers in my face. "It's obvious who you're staring at. Stop drooling over him, we've gotta get to class!" She told me. I nodded my head wiping my mouth as we made it to our locker. (Ps. I share a locker with my friend)
After period 2 I make my way to the commons with Y/f and sat down in our usual spot.
Suddenly I feel a tap on my shoulder. "Y/f, stop trying to trick me, I know it's you." I say to her.
"Uh, it wasn't me this time." She whispers to me, obviously uncomfortable. I look back and meet his eyes.
His dazzling ones I once fell for.
He giggled flashed me that breathtaking smile he does.
"Hi, Y-Y/n." He stuttered, playing with his fingers. "Hi." I said smiling back at him.
"I was... um, well I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me..." He said, his face flushed with red.
A smile spreads across my face. "That would be awesome!" I say staring straight into his e/c eyes.
His smile goes wide. "Great! I'll pick you up at 8... Oh and don't wear a dress." I look at him confused as he walks away, smiling.
"Hm. I wonder why he doesn't want you to wear a dress." Y/f says, with her mouth full of pizza. "Yeah..." I quietly mumble.

7:45 pm.
Time to get ready. Time was tight but I didn't need very much.
I dress casually, with black skinny jeans with holes in the knees, a camouflage t-shirt and a leather jacket, since it was cold.
I just straighten my hair and put mascara on. I hear a loud... motorcycle? I rush to the window to see C/n walking up to my door.
My feet never moved so fast. I was stepping down the stairs incredibly fast and I swung the door open.
"C/n!" I practically yelled, smiling. He glanced at my face.
"You look amazing." He says, with a small smile.
"Thank you. You look quite good yourself too!" I said, complimenting him.
"Shall we?" He asks, as I link arms with him. "We shall." I say giggling.
He hands me the helmet he was wearing when he came here and pulls another out of his backpack.
"I'm gonna need you to wear this since you're sitting behind me." He says, handing me his backpack while giving me an I'm-so-sorry smile. I gladly take it and slip it onto my shoulders.
"Let's do this." I say, sitting on the back of the bike.
He sits in front of me and glances in the mirror. "You ready?" He yells after he starts it up.
I nod my head, wrapping my arms around his torso.
He smirks and takes off quickly.
Before I knew it we were driving on a windy road in the middle of nowhere.
He pulls over and picks me up off the bike. I take my helmet off, shaking my hair around.
She looked stunning tonight.
Oh who am I kidding? She looks stunning all the time. I smile as she shakes her hair to fix it.

After she finishes I take the helmet and attach it to my bike (yes you can do that my dad has a motorcycle and does that).
I grab her hand and smile back at her. "Follow me."
I felt butterflies erupt in my stomach as his hand intertwines with mine. Especially when he smiles at me.
"Follow me." He tells me and begins pulling me up the forest mountain. Finally we reached a spot overlooking the lake and forest. I could see the sun setting.
"Woah..." I mumble. "It's breathtaking!" I tell him. He flashes me a smile.
"Yeah, you are..." He quietly says (shhhh I know, it's cliché). My head snaps towards him.
"What'd you say?" I ask him. He looks at me, worried. "Uhm I said that the sunset is pretty." He says, fiddling with his fingers.
Suddenly I felt a pair of lips on mine, shocking me. His hands grip onto my hips as he pulls me closer. My arms wrap around his neck as we sat there. Screw butterflies, he gave me the whole zoo in my stomach.
I lean back and smile. "You're breathtaking." He says, smirking. I slap his shoulder playfully.
"Oh shut up, you flirt." I tell him. He chuckles.
Once we make it back down to the bike it's already pitch black. So he used his phone for a flash light.
I put my helmet on my head and sit behind him. I lean my head on his shoulder, gripping his torso tighter.
The wind was in my hair as we kept on driving, with only the headlights of the bike illuminated the road ahead of us. He pulls over once again and brings me a ways up a different hill.
We lay on the grass and stare up at the big, bright moon.
"Is it weird I've never noticed how beautiful the night is?" I ask him, quietly. His hand lightly grabs mine.
"No, because you never saw the sky with me. Everything's prettier when I'm around." I roll my eyes and giggle.
"Be quiet, you moment ruiner."
He chuckles.
-time skip de magique-
He drops me off at my house. We climb up to my window and push the screen through.
I glance down at the clock on my nightstand. 1:47 am.
Wow I'm so grounded.
I change into a pair of plaid pj shorts and pull my sheets up to my chest.
Just as C/n is leaving I lightly clutch his arm.
His head turns towards me.
"Will you um... stay with me until I fall asleep?" I ask him. He sits beside me.
"Of course princess." He tells me. I put my head on his lap as he plays with my hair. Soon enough I drift asleep, knowing I'm safe in his arms.

Forced Development (What does it truly mean to live a fulfilling life?)
To get things started I would like to admit that this story does not bring much new to the table when it comes to the over-saturated Litrpg genre in terms of things like mechanics and power systems. Then what exactly am I trying to bring to the table with this work? A nice slow-paced novel about people maturing and growing older think of it as the re: zero or jobless reincarnation of Litrpgs. A story that tries to take into consideration how a worldwide system would affect the economics and culture of a world. A story that is much more character-focused than the typical heavy progression-focused novels this genre is known for. The RPG system, like any good power system, is there to actually explore the themes of the story and not just as a plot device for characters to get stronger. This is a story where we will see the growth of the Mc from being a baby to when he dies of old age. With plenty of heart-racing actions and intriguing plot developments along the way. Exploring themes like; What does it mean to improve at something and what does it mean to mature as a person? How does magic, the constant threat of monsters and people so much stronger than the average joe that they can destroy countries affect one's culture both on the micro and the macro scale? How people are affected by the culture in general? Generational trauma Nature vs Nurture Talent vs hard work What is morality, society, and people's opinions on both? What does it mean to be human and what does it mean to be alive in the context of a world with multiple sapient species vastly different from one another in basic biology? All these questions are going to be explored from multiple angles using the system as a catalyst for those discussions. So if any of does questions sound interesting to you what are you waiting for, I'm sure you are going to love this story. PS - Chapter come out every Friday at about the same time.
