《Lynn's story》Chapter 4

I jumped awake when I heard someone coming into my sleeping area. I opened my eyes slowly and instantly adjusted to the darkness around me. I looked towards the door frame to find an old man with a 7 year old. The man let out a chuckle as he walked towards me.

I looked like an 9 year old, so I was often mistaken for a young child. Once I saw his feet moving towards me, I shot back, yet I still stayed away from the wall. I could smell him from where I was standing and I could tell he was human by his scent, so I didn't

submit no matter how much my body told me to. As he lurched towards me I dove under his arm and sprang towards the door. I ran out the door, stumbling to get off the ground. I held onto my still injured left arm and bolted towards the entrance of the building as the man yelled behind me. I sprinted into the forest and climbed up a tree like a squirrel. I climbed onto the first branch I saw and held myself there. I glanced around frantically for the male, but nothing came from the building. I climbed up until I

reached the top and I stood on the top branch. I looked around me. I glanced up at the sky as a giant black dragon flew over. It blended into the sky, since the bottom of it's wings were littered with white spots to mimic stars, but thanks to the rising sun, the outline of it was able to be seen. Once I saw it, I dove into the leaves so it wouldn't see me.

'That's Ace on patrol...why is he alone?' I wondered to myself as I slowly climbed up past the leaves. I stood up straight once again and looked around. I looked up at the sky and froze in fear. The dragon was gone. I whipped myself around and looked around frantically.

My breathing got faster as I started to panic, thinking the worst.

'He saw me! He saw me! He knows I'm here! He knows I'm out! He's going to kill me!' I thought frantically and it was like my thoughts became true. I screamed as I felt talons wrap around my frail body. I clutched onto the talons tightly, so I wouldn't fall through

the spacing between them. Ace carried me towards the mountains and I could feel the wind that was coming from them. Soon enough I was dropped onto the snow covered ledge. After I was dropped, I stood up really fast and tried to run off, but the snow was too

deep, so instead I just sank deeper into the snow. I shook harshly as I hugged myself tightly. This high in the mountains, it won't matter the season, there will still be snow. I glanced around fast and yelped when my body lifted off the ground. I slowly turned

my freezing body and jumped back when I saw the giant black scale covered head. The yellow eyes pierced into mine and a low grumble came from its chest. I instantly bowed my head and never said a word. Ace let out a snort, causing smoke to come from his nostrils. Ace's giant sharp teeth showed as he blew warm air against me. My body stopped shivering for a little from the warm air, but it started again once the cold returned and the hot air finally disappeared. We stayed on the mountain in silence for awhile until

I finally spoke up.

"What're we doing here?" I questioned, but it was like my words disappeared with the cold wind. Ace let out a soft growl and rolled his snake-like eyes.

"We are waiting. Queen Toothfull is coming" and with that, he laid himself onto the deep snow. As he laid down the snow around him melted away from its stomach. Under the scales burned bright red from the fire within him. All I wanted was to press myself into that warmth, but I stayed away from the dragon and just sat in the snow. My breathed hitched when the snow suddenly came up to my nose. I raised my head, so I could continue to breath and I watched the dragon with nervous eyes. Ace just kept his head up and

glanced around the area. I didn't understand how he could see considered there was a blizzard starting up. I closed my eyes as we sat there, waiting patiently for the arrival of his queen. Not long after, I could hear the distant roar of a dragon. Ace let

out a small grumble from the back of his throat and stared into the sky.

I followed the beast's gaze and my eyes widen, when I saw Queen Toothfull. The black dragon landed on Ace's back and let out a soft roar. She was smaller, but still more powerful. She had a flat head, four wings, a spiked tail and of course the usual saddle to go along her back with her newly repaired tail tip. Her green piercing eyes stared into my own and then she suddenly dove down, scooped me up and flew up. I let out a soft scream as I held onto her small thick arms, as I tried to wrap my legs around her

flat body. I closed my eyes tightly to cover it from the snow that pelted me as we sped away. I opened my eyes slowly once I couldn't feel the snow anymore and I turned my head to look around. We were near the bottom of the mountain now and we were circling

around it. I glanced around and watched as the trees blurred from how fast we were going.

Feeling the air made me feel calm and I let a small smile climb onto my face. My eyes closed instinctively. I could feel the queen let out a low chuckle and glance down at me from the corner of her eye. I opened my eyes slowly and they instantly met hers, causing

me to look away in submission. She snorted, turned on the top of her wing and folded her wings, diving into a tunnel. She flew through the tunnel and came out to a giant cave. Once she was in the cave, she spread her wings wide and put me down on the ground

gently.

I stayed laying in the position she left me in as she laid down across from me. I glanceed at her metal tail tip over her front paws. I could hear a thump from outside and I knew Ace was guarding the entrance. I jumped back when the space between me and the queen was blasted by purple fire. The small pit lit up and gave the cave a feel of warmth and more security than before. Queen Toothfull's black scales lit up against the crackling fire and I looked past the fire at her. We laid in silence, listening to the fire crackle and burn the wood. Queen Toothfull finally turned to face and spoke with a voice fit for her.

"The king of the foxes' is coming. Are you prepared in any way? You know how I am with you Lynn. I just want to make sure you will be prepared for what's to come today" she said with a queen like voice and I bowed my head.

"Of course your majesty I-"

"Don't speak to me so formally. I am a friend not someone you have to bow to" she cut me off in a strict tone, causing me to flinch. She sighed when she saw my usual action and small puffs of smoke came from her nostrils in frustration. I turned my face away and it grew silent once again. This time I was thankful for the silence but it was short lived once she broke it again.

"The king is bringing his brothers. There all whores. I am already preparing Valley to stay near me, but I can't have you due to your king. I will not fight him on his rules, for this is her territory and not my own. When is your heat due? Like what's your monthly

schedule? Her questions took me by surprised.

'Due? Schedule?' I thought to myself in confusion. I didn't understand the meaning of either of the words.

"I'm sorry I do not understand your questions. Do you mind explaining them in more simpler...words?" I tried to come up with a way to sound smart like her, but it didn't work. I could tell it didn't work when she let out a throaty laugh. I frowned softly and looked down at the cave floor in silence, not knowing how to respond to her laugh.

"When does your heat happen? Heat always happens on a date and ends on another date. When does yours start?" She tried to make it better for me, but I still couldn't understand, so I tried again.

"I don't think my heat comes on a date. I don't know when it does. It comes at random. I have not counted the days they're apart because...well..." I tried to count on my fingers but just looked confused. I could tell she understood because she nodded her head

along to what I had said.

"Ah. Then you will stay far from the city. It will not be safe for you if the brothers go wandering during their stay" she explained as she lifted her giant body from the floor.

Queen Toothfull's green eyes turned to me and she let out a soft roar that could barely be heard over the dying fire. She tried to explain to me that when the king and his brothers would arrive and what they were going to doing, but I got too confused with all the big words she used. By the end of it all she walked out of the cave through the tunnel as I followed suit with my head still bowed down. Shuffling and beating of wings came from the entrance as Ace took off from the small ledge, giving room for Queen Toothfull to step onto the ledge. I stepped out too and looked towards the ocean where I could see the sun rising over the waves and shining over the trees. The sky was a light colour, while the city was still a darker colour.

I turned to Queen Toothfull and bowed down onto one knee in respect for her. She let out a soft chuckle and I could feel the back of my shirt being lifted by a pair of sharp teeth. I felt the hot air on my back from the queen's breath and it made me shiver. I glanced back just as she spread her wings and took off gently. She glided down towards the tree tops and then she turned gold and headed towards the city. She flew up slowly so she would go above the buildings and then she flew to my building. I stared down at the city as the great dragon flew. Although

it was still only morning the city was full of people and cars on their way to work. When Queen Toothfull landed on the ground she came to a run and then a complete stop. She put me down on the ground and looked to me as I turned to her once again.

"Now you must be prepared. As I had said before the king is bringing four brothers. He is Augustus and the brothers are Cloud, Luca, Hiro and Blake. Cloud is a nice man. Luca, Hiro and Blake are the whores. They are still currently on their plane, but they will

be landing and arriving soon. You must be far from the castle and city by the time they come or you could be in danger, is that understood?" She spoke strictly and it caused me to feel frightened. She stopped and then continued.

"They're here early it seems. You must go. NOW!" She ordered.

With that last comment, we both went our separate ways. Queen Toothfull took to the sky and I took to the building to take refuge from the praying alpha foxes on their way.

*the picture is of Queen Toothfull. I have one more exam but I'll try to post as much as I can then I'm free for the summer*
