《Lynn's story》Chapter 3

I walked off from the city square and dragged my feet along the dirt at the side of the road. I had wandered onto a side road while walking mindlessly from the city and Rose. I came to a halt and stared off into the darkness of the forest. Usually I'd see rays of sun coming through the branches but now that it was night and the clouds covered the moon, the forest was a terrifying dark place.
I took a small step closer to the edge of the forest and made sure my foot pressed against the ground as quietly as possible. I listened carefully although my hearing wasn't as good as a normal werewolves. I didn't hear anything so I continued. I stepped into the forest slowly and stopped to listen again.
I suddenly turned back and bolted to the middle of the empty side road. I panted hard as I stood on the line and looked around for the rustling I had heard before. I stopped when I saw a owl fly into the branch of the tree that overlooked the road I stood on. I let out a soft breath and I let a smile of relief come over my face. I crossed the road in a shuffle and stopped when I was back on the dirt, safe from any approaching cars. I slowly walked into the forest again, stopping and looking/listening occasionally. I walked deeper into the forest till I was under my usual big tree in a clearing and I smiled in a comforting way.
I relaxed myself and let my bones crack into place. Within a minute I was in my wolf form. My wolf was thin, injured and was missing an ear. My fur was matted and was covered in dirt, changing the usual light brown to a darker brown. I could never clean myself and I wouldn't dare to lick my self with my tongue. Rose already said that for my fur, it could give me a bad sickness and kill me. I shook my small body, almost falling over since I lacked balance. I slowly started to walk deeper into the forest. I kept my one ear up as I walked in case the pack was close.
I knew if they were close my only chance at not being attacked would be if I submitted while running to the road. Since I was the size of a regular wolf, people seeing me cross the road would be more normal than seeing a 6ft wolf cross the road. Therefore, the pack stayed away from roads humans used.
I walked along my small trail and stopped as he reached the lake. I slowly jogged towards the lake and stopped beside it. I was about to lean down to take a drink but I was suddenly tackled down by a giant wolf. I let out a scream and instantly tried to submit by the giant wolf kept whipping me side to side. I kept my purple eyes clutched tightly closed. I let out a speech of pain as my fur ripped in the wolves jaw and I went flying into the ground. I stayed down and in submission. I opened my eyes slowly and glanced around. My gaze darted in search of the wolf form before but there was nothing. I slowly rose from the ground and I frowned in confusion.

"There was no one?" I voiced my thought out loud since I was alone. I listened closely but there was not a single sound anywhere close.
I moved my neck around to try to see if the pain was still there and, oddly enough, there was no pain. I slowly looked to the lake then turned away from it. I wouldn't risk drinking from it again if there was something actually out here. I ran up the small hill to the tree line again and I slowly came to a stop in the bushes. I listened carefully around and instantly broke into a run when I heard the barking and growling of the pack on a patrol. I already moved my tail between my legs and flattened my ears so if they saw me they knew I am prepared to submit and I'm leaving as fast as possible.
I ran out onto the city ally and dodged around garbage. I slowed to a jog then down to a full stop. I kept glancing back over my shoulder, paranoid of the pack coming to get me for going near the lake. I was still feeling odd from that random 'attack', at least that's what I thought it was. I stayed in the ally and listened to the bustling noise of cars and people walking around.
I shifted to my human form, wearing what I was wearing before. I stepped onto the sidewalk when it was finally less crowded and I glanced from side to side, watching carefully. I walked against the crowd of people, heading in the direction others were walking from. Since it was crowded I had to push my small body through a sea of people that were laughing and chatting around with each other. I was surprised it was this crowded at this time of day since this was when the ghouls and vampires would usually show themselves.
Ghouls were creatures that eat humans specifically. Their diet was coffee until they actually needed meat then they could devour a whole human; minus the bones of course. I didn't know much of them but I knew Valley was one of them, as was my alpha, his brother Zack, Lurch and some of the pack. All of my alphas family was a ghoul but rarely hunted since they kept dead bodies in their castle from gang fights or people that piss of the mafia.
I always questioned why they wouldn't eat me but then I realized its because I'm too skinny so I'm basically bones. I would probably have nothing in me to eat anyways. I started to feel bad before and decided to try to fatten up but I had nothing to eat so I gave up really fast. I walked faster than I should have. I didn't like this time of day because I didn't like to see others hurt. Some werewolves would fight off the ghouls but it's so difficult when they're hungry and hunting.
I stepped over the cracks just as I pushed through the crowd. I glanced around at the empty side walk that was unkept and littered with spots of grass and cracks. I looked up at the tall dark buildings and took a deep shaky breath. I slowly stepped onto the shadow covered side walk and looked back. Where I had just been in the city was colourful and light while where I was going was dark and black. For some reason it was like a line divided the 2 areas. I walked down the dark sidewalk and glanced around as if my life depended on it. Well it did. If I made a wrong move a drug addict could come and attack me or even a gang member. I didn't want to get into any kind of fight with humans because they won't give up even if I submit because they don't know what I'm doing like a werewolf would. I rushed along the sidewalk faster and tried not to make any sounds, lifting up my feet everytime I stepped.

I stopped half way through the dark street and stood up straight, trying to stretch my hearing. I leaped in fright when I heard a rustling in the ally beside me and a can fell. I forgot everything as I took off along the sidewalk.
I ran till I reached the dirt road towards the apartment. I stopped and looked around fast, whimpering softly. I kicked up some dirt as I walked and I stared at my feet as I walked.
I screamed suddenly when I was slammed into a tree, bashing my shoulder into it. I could hear the usual crushing sound as the pressure on my other shoulder weighed me closer to the tree. I slowly glanced up at the person squishing me between the tree and himself. I came face to face with the striking blue eyes of my alpha. He pulled away, watching me drop to the base of the tree while holding my shoulder. I hissed in pain but didn't dare to yell at him for I knew he'd probably kill me. Although I let out a yelp of pain and winced as he pulled me up by my elbow attached to the arm holding my shoulder. I dropped my grip on my shoulder and walked with Zeek. I made sure to never look up at his face or even his shoulder.
He pulled me into the 'building', as some would call it, then into the apartment. I was thrown down on the ground and I made it so I landed on my back to protect my shoulder but it still caused a shock of pain to spread through the wounded area. I watched Zeek's metal foot clink closer as he walked until he stopped in front of me. I closed my eyes tightly and waited for something to come. Anything. A smack, a punch, a kick, a knee and the worst, rape. But nothing came and after wait a little bit I slowly opened my eyes to see I was alone in the big empty space.
I slowly got to my feet with my one useable arm and frowned softly. I was confused as to why he didn't beat me for being out late past curfew but I stayed silent. I looked over to the small blanket I had and I whimpered softly sadly and crawled to the blanket. My left arm (the one slammed to the tree) dragged behind me. I finally made it to the blanket and as I did, I launched myself towards it desperately. I grasped it in my right hand and brought it to my chest, taking in the scent. I know it was weird but this blanket meant the world to me.
As a werewolf, omega male I could have children. Well every male werewolf could get pregnant but it's more common in omegas. That's basically our 'job'. I think that's why my alpha would rape me. But anyways, a male can get pregnant by growing a temporary uterus. They could also lactate to feed their children. Baby formula with poisonous to werewolf children so it was illegal within the castle walls.
Since my alpha hadn't found his mate by the age of 50, he raped me and got me pregnant to give him a heir in case of anything. During the time I was pregnant, I stayed in the castle. I was well taken care of and loved by everyone. He was keeping me healthy, happy and watched over me. I loved feeling like that. I got a good meal everyday and I got whatever I wanted, although I never asked for anything. After I had the alphas son I was still taken care of since I had to feed him. We had decided to name him Rector and we would all sleep in separate rooms. Everything was perfect but of course it all had to fall apart. Alphas, especially kings, are targeted by everyone to be killed so they could over rule them and take over. They would also take out his blood line to ensure they wouldn't seek revenge on the murderer. So one night when everyone was asleep I heard Rector crying so I jumped up, rushed out and to his room but he was gone. His window was open and his bed was messed up. I had run to the window and looked around for any sign of him. Once I couldn't find anyone I raced out of the room, screaming that my baby was gone. Zeek had ran out of his room in a panic and he made everyone search for his son. I was kicked out of the castle and went back to before because Zeek blamed me for the baby being taken, saying that I should have slept in the same room with him and watched him like a hawk. They searched for 6 months. Rector was never found or to be heard of again.

From the Final World
I have lived a long, long time. Longer than the universe knows; longer than any star has seen or traveling light records. My memories; that is all that is left that knows that length, and that which was seen within it. Then again, that is all that ever did. When I am gone, it will be forgotten, a truth and a history lost forever no matter who or what tries to find it. I think that is why I write this now. A record, or a lament, of the most significant being of all time. It is a prideful exaltation of endless triumph, or the dread condemnation of infinite evil. I don’t know which; I shall leave it for others to judge. I could explain further, of course. I could list the sins that have been committed, the deeds that have been done. Yet for now, I believe this is enough. Her story will speak for itself. About the good, and evil, in the heart of a single girl burdened with more than her fair share. And how she reacted to it. So, I will tell her story. Of gods and devils, mortals and monsters, of legends long forgotten and civilizations long turned to dust. And in the end, I hope she knows herself, whether it is salvation, or destruction, she should receive.
