☾︎ i had an exile when i was just a small child,

from the kingdom that claimed to be made for me,

and i was burnt on my arms, anyone who sees them now always gets alarmed.

yet i stayed in the woods, by the gates,

i would walk by the lakes and bridges

where the poets would go to live,

the little child was hurt,

the little child was burnt,

the little child had died and

the older wretch born was mine.

☾︎ i knew many secrets by seventeen,

i saw dead warriors wandering around,

a million things that didn't want to be found.

the noblemen would cry with drinks in the middle of the night,

misery never left ever since i was exiled.

and every full moon,

a small child will stare up at the sky,

and you know she will think of being exiled,

she sees seventeen years into the woods;

and burns by the bridge where she had her first cry,

she was born a poet and she would go to the lakes to die.

i was born as a wretch they didn't like.

of small children and lakes downstream,

of dead warriors wandering and deadlier dreams.
