I shut my locker and head to first period, Math, Why the hell did they give me the punishment of Math in the morning or how my teacher says, ''Math in the Morning with Magnificent Mr. Montgomery, you'd think he'd be an English teacher with all that alliteration.

Alex already went to his class he had free period in the morning, the lucky bastard. He could sleep for another hour if he wanted. I walked in and sat in my desk, I was lucky I had Carmen in this class.

''Hey Carmen.''

''Hey Bec, you excited for the holidays?''

Well damn. I had almost forgotten that it was close to December and I haven't even begun my shopping for Christmas, and it was Alex's birthday in a week, so I had to plan that too.

"Yeah I'm excited for the holidays, but you up for some surprise birthday planning?''

''For who?''

''Alex.''

''Of course! I forgot, his birthday is like in a week, what do you have planned?''

''Well.. nothing I was hoping you'd help me with that, but on second thought I do have some ideas.''

''Enlighten me.''

''Well I was thinking to ya'know surprise him, and get him this really awesome cake, and have like a backyard party! And grill!''

I was no doubt excited, I had to make this the best party ever for the love of my life.

''Chocolate!''

''No he doesn't like chocolate!''

''Who doesn't like Chocolate?!''

Carmen and I were at a bakery placing an order for Alex's cake we were arguing over which flavor to get, he clearly told me one day while we were playing twenty questions that he hates chocolate cake and ice cream, but the real thing he could tolerate.

I was the same, but sometimes I'd get crazy and eat chocolate ice cream and cake.

But anyways, back to the point he would like a regular white cake with some really cool icing, we'd just go simple and have a 'Happy 18th Birthday Alex'

written in blue frosting.

I bought decorations and food that we were supposed to be grilling in the backyard, but I'd yet to buy him a present, I was clueless on what to buy.

''Hey Alex.''

''Bec, baby talk to me.'' Alex said in a New Jersey accent, I laughed.

''Never do that again.''

''Haha, so what did you want, love?''

My heart fluttered, I'd never get tired of him expressing his love for me.

''What I can't call my boyfriend without an interrogation?''

''Nice try, baby.''

''Fiiiinnnee,'' I said drawing out my words.

''I don't know what to get you for your birthday.''

''Love. You're all I need, you've given me another reason to smile everyday, and I love you so much for that.''

''I love you too, Alex.''

''But I was hoping to visit my sister and then doing something with my favorite girl.''

''Mr. Alex have you got another girl I don't know about?'' I said playing coy.

''You're my only girl, you'll always be my only girl, babe.''

''Aw, stop your making me blush babe.'' He laughed his sweet melodic laughter filling my ears.

If his laugh was a song I'd listen to it all day.

''What can I say it's my job.''

''Haha, I'm gonna go to bed now Alex.''

''Ok, love you.''

''Love you too.''

With that I fell asleep with a smile on my face, determined to find the perfect gift for the perfect guy.
