The car ride home was silent and we later pulled into my driveway. I was about to head out but, Alex grabbed my hand.

"Do you need something?" I asked as he just looked into my eyes saying nothing, my heart skipped a beat, my hands were getting sweaty and I wiped them on my jeans.

I avoided eye contact because that was something that always made me feel uncomfortable, it's like they could see every part of me. Good and bad and they knew all my secrets and everything.

So I avoided his strong gaze.

His thumb softly tilted my chin up and he leaned in.

Was he going to kiss me? I thought. I've never done that before, what if I'm bad? I started hyperventilating in my head and he noticed. "You never kissed anyone have you?"

I nod once again avoiding eye contact

"Well you don't have to worry,"

He said as he leaned in and his lips ever so slightly brushed against mine and before our lips were fully pressed together I heard a knock on the window causing us to break apart shocked. I look out the window to see a smirking Ashton.

I glare opening the car door hitting Ashton making him stumble. I turn back to Alex and softly smile. "Thanks for the ride even though I denied, Hey! that rhymes."

I chuckle to myself and soon, Alex laughs.

"You're so adorable laughing at yourself, anyways your welcome."

I exit from his car and I felt my heart flutter a bit.

I turn to Ashton.

"We need to talk."

"Look. I'm sorry I didn't mean to interrupt your time with lover boy, but what do you expect? I'm your over protective, annoying older brother!"

He exclaims and I glare, "That's not what I wanted

to talk about Ashton!"

I exclaimed sitting on the couch and he looked at me puzzled.

"Than what are you talking about. Please tell me now, I'm getting frustrated!"

Ashton exclaims and I hold back a laugh.

"Mom! lets talk about how mom is finally coming back!"

I say grinning which I haven't done for a long time.

"Well, I'm really happy, about mom."

He says smiling but it didn't quite reach his eyes.

"What's wrong?" I ask. He runs a hand thoroughly into his hair

"I just.." He starts frowning.

"I just wish we were a normal family, and that our Dad wasn't such a douche, so we could have support from somebody, I just feel like I'm not doing enough and you need a father figure in your life, I don't know...."

He says looking at me the whole time and I walk over to my dear brother and hug him so tight that it actually hurts me.

"Ash, you're all I need besides mom, you've done your best to take care of what's left of our family and I don't know how to repay you, you're the best brother ever, I love you Ash."

I say looking at him and We both smile. "I love you to lil sis."

He says and I hug him again.

"Now let's talk about how great it is going to be when mom comes back."

After Ash and I talked, I went to bed thinking about the almost kiss between Alex and I.

Was he really going me?

Was I really going to kiss him?

All I know was... I really want his lips to touch mine and I might be starting to like him.

Hey guys!
