"... D-dont say such odd things..." Gundham blushed even more, placinf his head down on the desk, "... It flusteres me..."
"Oh! Didn't think you blush easily!" Kazuichi laughed, "its kinda cute"
"...cute...?"
Gundhams face turned even more red, it was as if he was boiling in a volcano, "ergh... D-Dont say that..."
"Oh? Sorry?" Kazuichi laughed, "forgot you get flustered easily!"
"..."
"Anyways, I'll go back to my seat, Miss Yukizome'll prolly get ma-"
Just on que, The Teacher walked in the classroom, a small smile appear in on her face, "good evening students!"
"Today we will skip class, my apologies, I have to help... A friend of mine with romance" She chuckled, exiting the room.
"Romance?" Tanaka thought, "..."
"Ayo! Gundham!" Kazuichi smiled, wrapping his arm arm around the others shoulder, "since class is over already, wanna go to the beach now?"
"..."
Fuyuhiko just stared at Tanaka and Souda, "... Eh... Not really, I was going to invite Nagito over so we can all get along... Is that maybe, dunno, fine? Is it cool?"
"Uhm... Sure? He's a freak, but sure, freaks are always welcomed" He laughed.
"..." Gundham just stared at Kazuichi and grabbed his finger, "..."
"Hm? What is it Gundham?"
"..."
Tanaka just started blushing, looking down at the floor, "...i don't necessarily have the right equipment for the beach..."
"Oh... Uhm... That's fine" Kazuichi smiled, "I've been wanting to match with someone, but these damn idiots wouldn't match with me, what a bunch of losers am I right!" He laughed more, "anyways, let's go get our things, " Cmon!"
Kazuichi pulled Gundham and Fuyuhiko, while Fuyuhiko was holding Nagitos, so basically, he was dragging everyone behind him.

"... Hey.. You know what? Actually, Let's go to the beach, you know, the one that that Aoi girl is always talking about, you know, she said that the water is so blue that it looks like Powerade!" He smiled, "uhm... Actually, let's all split up, me and Gundham are gonna go to my house to get our things"
"Mhm, okay"
Fuyuhiko and Nagito both took their seperate ways...
-with Gundham and Kazuichi, at Kazuichis house-
"... Agh... Hold up, before you go in, I have to do something, kay?" Kazuichi chuckled nervously.
He opened the door and peeked inside, making sure his dad wasn't there..
"Okay, cmon"
Kazuichi opened the door wider and let Gundham inside.
"Okay so.. Ignore the mess, it's nothing"
Gundham looked around... The living room was filled with beer bottles and papers on the ground.
Gundham just looked back at Kazuichi, "..."
"What? Why are ya lookin at me like that?"
"..."
"...s-stop staring at me..." Kazuichi murmured, his face turning a tint of pink
Gundham just wrapped his arms around the other, "I want to know what's happening..." He whispered, "... Huh?"
"... I used to want to be you so bad, but... I hardly got to know your mortal presence... And now... I'm worried..." He whispered in the others ear.
"... Stop... L-Let go! I've already said I hate it when people hug me!" Kazuichi glared, shoving Gundham off of. Him.
"...i fucking swear, it was a mistake to even ask you to hang out with me and fuyuhiko, your a damn creep, no wonder why people are always trying to ignore you... Just go" He barked.
"..."
Gundhams eyes watered... He's getting kicked out again... He took a step back and opened the door.
"..."
He walked out with a frown on his face...

The Last Science
[This story is on a temporary hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I work in healthcare and unfortunately no longer have the freetime to continue posting on a regular basis. As soon as our workload decreases, I will return. Thanks for reading! 💙] No one ever knows the whole story. Nestled deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, something is emerging. Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself. In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. Want this story in smaller bites? Click here! The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series, focused on the modern world with a twist. New societies bud and grow, but the people who make them up are imperfect and flawed. The story includes elements of mystery, action, crime, interpersonal drama, relationships, philosophy, sociology, politics, and much more, all centered on the perspective characters driving the tale. Each chapter is pretty long (average ~8000 words), so find somewhere comfy to read. Content Warning (by request): This series delves into some topics and situations which may be upsetting for some readers. In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion. Please use your best judgment, and don't be afraid to take breaks and come back later. I'll still be here! This story will also be published weekly at my website (https://etzo.li). There will be no differences in content, but slight differences in formatting. Feel free to read at whichever site or app you prefer. If you're enjoying the story, consider dropping me a vote over on Top Web Fiction, or come say hi on Discord. Thanks! Need more to read? Check out my other story, Epilogue — a post-fantasy psychodrama. Now complete! This story is a participant in the Write til the End pledge. It will be completed, no matter the cost.

Embers in the Ash
Four ordinary young people from four corners of the Earth wake up on a hill in another world. Here, their very presence is a crime against the Gods. On the fringes of civilization, life is often brief and always violent, but in the Empire's Heartland, implacable hunters seek to rectify their blasphemous existence with Blade and Fire. To return home, they will need to adapt to a place where their life will be earned in steel. But what will they be ready to sacrifice for their goal? Will their flame flicker out like so many others before them? Or will they thrive as Embers in the Ash? Hello, and welcome to my first fiction on this site! Embers in the Ash is an epic fantasy adventure story that aims to span quite a few chapters (I hope!). To set expectations, this isn't going to be a LitRPG or power fantasy-style story. I'm aiming for a fairly grounded story set in a fairly high-fantasy world. I hope you enjoy it! For this first month of publication, my aim is to give you, the reader, something to really bite into. I will be releasing a chapter every day at 9:15 AM EST (13:15 GMT), as well as the occasional double chapter (which will always be announced by a post-chapter author blurb). Check in fifteen minutes after the first chapter's release! After this first month of publication, the aim is to go for either a weekly or bi-weekly release schedule, depending on the sort of time I can reliably dedicate to writing. Either way, settle in for the long haul, and welcome to the story!
