Hello?
Can you hear me?
Okay, good. It's me, your favorite hero, Matthew. I just wanted to let you know something really quick before we reach the conclusion of my story. Last time, I made it seem like I shot hacker boy in the shoulder. I was just messing with you, lovelies. I would never do that.
The bullet actually lodged in his head and he died.
Just a minor detail I thought I'd tell you. You're welcome.
Now let's continue.
...
Jessy, still in a half dazed state, was running into the woods in hopes of catching up before it's too late. If she was being honest, she had no idea what she was gonna do when she finds them. She had to have a plan.
Jessy slowed down her pace for a bit so she can think. "Matthew is dangerous and Jake is in trouble. I don't have my phone and I can't call for anyone...Wait, Matt must still have my phone. If I can get it from him somehow..."
The redhead looked in the distance as she walked, pondering her choices.
That's when she heard a gunshot and looked up horrified.
"Matthew, I'm coming for you."
...
Jake opened his eyes. Was he dead?
No. He can still feel the smell of the trees around.
The bullet didn't hit him at all. Matthew was still aiming the gun at him with a smug smile.
The whole situation made Jake feeling anxious and breathing very slowly.
Matthew raised an eyebrow. "What? I wasn't just gonna kill you like that. There's no fun in that."
Jake didn't say anything, instead focusing on maintaining his composure.
"Let's have some fun before I kill you and call the police, shall we?" Matthew gestured for the hacker to start moving slowly, and Jake obliged.

The two arrived at an open area. Matthew thought it was perfect.
"Stop." Jake did as told.
Another shot was fired, this time actually hitting Jake in the knee. He fell to the ground with a pained yell.
Matthew hummed. "I might do the other knee just in case. But if you feel like begging, I might reconsider."
Jake uttered one word. "N-Never."
"Huh, shame. You're supposed to be the smart one. I guess that only applies to computers."
Meanwhile, Jessy has heard the second shot and knew she was close.
It ends now or never.
Hiding behind a tree, Jessy peeked and sure enough, she spotted Jake, thankfully still alive, and Matthew standing over him with a gun.
"Okay, Jessy...For Jake, and everyone else he hurt."
"MATTHEW!"
The sudden yell startled both Matt and Jake, and they both recognized the voice immediately.
Matt turned to see his girlfriend approaching him with a dead look on her face. "Jessy..."
Jessy stopped a few steps away from him. "So it's true...? You were the one all along."
Matthew sighed. "Yeah...It was me. I really hated her, you know. Lilly should've never done that to me! She deserved to die, so did Hannah and Richy."
What is she doing? Jake thought, breathing intently on the ground.
"Jessy, please try to understand me. I wanted to keep you out of this. Keep you safe."
"...I know."
"What?"
"And I don't care. I want to be with you, no matter what. I love you, Matt."
"Jessy...I love you too..."
The couple started moving closer for a kiss, and they did.
Until a stab in the back interrupted it.
Matthew's eyes widened in shock and he fell down. "J-Jessy..."

The girl started tearing up, holding the bloodied knife in her hand. "I'm sorry Matthew, it's the only way." She then took her phone back and dialed Alan's number. "Hello! Mr. Bloomgate, please send someone over and ambulance as well! Quick, please."
Then she looked at Jake. "Are you okay?" He slowly nodded. "Just hold on a little longer."
"Jessy..."
That was Matthew's voice. Jessy turned to him. "I'm sorry, Jessy. I promised myself I'd always come out on top, and right now, there's only one way to do that." He pulled up the gun...
"No!"
"Find me in the next life. Goodbye, love."
"STOP!!" She leapt towards him.
