The small group of friends sat on the musty basement couch listening to the footsteps and hollering coming from the drunk adults upstairs. Lucy Forman got up and paced behind the couch annoyed at her brother, Eric.

"Eric it is time," Hyde said very seriously as he leaned forward, staring at Eric.

"Why don't you do it?" Eric questioned as he slouched in his seat, terrified of his mission.

"It is your house," Hyde reminded Eric.

"Your house" Kelso echoed sternly behind Hyde causing Lucy to stifle a laugh at the seriousness in the idiotic conversation.

"Why don't you have Lucy do it? She lives here too." Eric asked quickly, trying to shift responsibility.

"I'm not going because they say it's bad to enable whiny children by giving them what they want," Lucy stopped her pacing and folded her arms in front of her.

Kelso quietly chuckled "Burn."

"Ok ouch," Eric shook his head in shock.

Hyde snapped his fingers at Eric. "Listen to them up there. The party has reached critical mass, in ten minutes there'll be no more beer opportunities."

"If my Dad catches me copping beers, he'll kill me." Eric said worriedly.

"The sky is blue. And?" Lucy said with a smirk. She relished in seeing her brother panic over something she could've easily done ten minutes ago by stealing beers from the garage fridge.

"I'm willing to take that risk," Hyde nodded.

"Don't worry about it. Just remain calm and keep moving," Kelso said reassuringly.

"And above all, don't get caught in my dad's hair," Donna warned. Lucy shivered thinking about earlier that day when she went to Donna's.

"What's wrong with your dad's hair?" Eric's concern resurfaced.

"Just don't look at it," Donna shuddered.

Eric nodded and Hyde took his face in his hands, forcing him to look at him, "And Eric. Cold. Definitely cold." Eric nodded as he ran up the stairs.

"Odds of him dying?" Hyde turned to Lucy as she laughed watching her brother scramble up the stairs.

She turned to sit on the couch's arm rest next to Hyde. "I'd say 1 out of 4."

The four of them awaited Eric's return. Hyde and Kelso were looking at a magazine that had been stuffed under the couch cushions. Lucy flipped through a Cosmo magazine with her head hanging over the side of the couch and her legs laid across the two boys. Kelso had tried to lift up her skirt, he did whenever he had the opportunity, but she was unfazed and kicked him in the face as Hyde punched his shoulder simultaneously.

"Check this out," Hyde said mesmerized. Kelso and Hyde gawked at the photo of the topless woman.

Donna came around the back of the couch, "We see that everyday," she said bluntly as she nodded to Lucy.

Hyde and Kelso's eyes went wide with realization as they looked at one another.

Eric then came sprinting down the stairs, beers in hand. The five teens rejoiced and cheered. Eric passed around the beers, he paused when he had the one to give to Lucy.

"Eric," she whined as she gestured for him to give it to her.

"I can't encourage my sister to participate in illegal activities," he teased.

"I'm older than you, you dillhole."

"By eight minutes!" he protested.

Lucy cocked her eyebrow and snatched the beer from her brother. She leaned back in her seat with a satisfied smile.

"Well good news, my dad is thinking of giving me the Vista Cruiser!" Eric announced.

"What?" Lucy exclaimed. She was technically older and based on how nice her dad was to Laurie when she started driving, she thought she had dibs.

"Whoa have I ever told you how incredibly attractive you are Eric?" Donna asked jokingly.

"No," Eric said seriously.

"You told me he was cute," Kelso interjected.

Lucy face palmed at her friend's stupidity. "No I didn't," Donna replied nervously.

"No, I remember because you said not to say anything in front of Eric. Ouch!"

Lucy had leaned across the couch to smack Kelso in the back of the head.

"Let's focus on what's important here people! Forman stole something." Hyde stated proudly as he pulled Lucy away from Kelso, who were quietly yelling at one another.

"To Forman!" the group cheered.

"You know what's sad? This is the proudest day of my life," Eric wiped away fake tears as the friends laughed.

The friends sat in the basement watching some dumb show about cheerleaders. Lucy sat in one of the chairs and Jackie, Kelso, and Eric sat on the couch, Donna sat in front of Eric.

"Wow Marcia, football to the face, that's got to hurt," Eric said in a high pitch voice.

"Ouch my nose!" Donna played along.

"That's gonna be huge in the morning!"

"Huger than my boobs?"

"Well bigger than the left one!"

This is what Donna and Eric and Lucy did ever since they were younger. They found it was much more fun to come up with their own lines than listen to boring ones.

Jackie interrupted their game, "Why are we watching this without sound? I'm totally confused!"

"Here use the earphone," Eric suggested.

No one in the group liked Jackie too much, even Kelso complained about her. Lucy didn't mind her too much, she could only handle her in small doses but enjoyed her bitchy comments and bluntness about everything and everyone. Plus she'd mentioned she let Lucy borrow some of her clothes.

Kelso leaned over in his spot on the couch, closer to the other three, "So what's the deal with the Vista Cruiser?"

"The deal is there is no deal yet," Eric replied.

"The deal is that if you get that car, I'm gonna have to kill you," Lucy whispered, so as not to get Jackie's attention.

"How are we going to get to the concert?" Kelso asked.

"Shut up!" Donna hissed.

"What concert?" Jackie asked intrigued as she took out the earphone.

"Todd Rudgren," Kelso answered nervously. Lucy could basically smell his fear.

"When?" Jackie asked innocently.

"This weekend," Kelso replied hesitantly.

"Oh! Who's going?"

"Uh Eric, Donna, Lucy, Hyde, me, and the foreign kid Fez. Pretty much everybody..." Michael trailed off.

"And of course you're invited too Jackie. I'll need help with my outfit and we'll need to balance out the estrogen," Lucy spoke up when it was clear Michael wouldn't invite his own girlfriend.

"Ok great! Hmm you're wardrobe may be a mess. I'll take you shopping!" Jackie offered, Lucy smiled in response, overjoyed to go on a paid shopping spree.

"But thank you for telling me Michael!" Jackie redirected her attention and anger to her boyfriend.

"I'm getting a soda!" Donna yelled.

"Me too!" Kelso said desperately as Donna pushed him down.

Eric grabbed Lucy's wrist, "Aw, I wanted to watch!" she complained as she got pulled out of the basement.

Lucy stood in the driveway, crossing her arms and tapping her foot annoyed. They were crowding around the Cruiser—the car that she should also have access to, but Eric didn't even have the balls to ask their dad if he could have it.

"Ever since yesterday, I haven't been able to stop thinking about you. I mean I've known you practically my whole life. I want you. I want you so bad." Eric said longingly over the car.

"Eric it's a car," Donna peered over his shoulder.

"Let's just leave these kids alone," Kelso wrapped his arm around Donna and Lucy, guiding them away. Lucy gave him a side glare before shrugging his arm off of her.

"Hey!" Bob Pinciotti came up to the driveway.

"Hey dad!" Donna replied, avoiding looking at his hair.

"You kids standing along the driveway. It's so darn cute. You know you may not realize it, but this is the most fun you'll ever have," Bob said reminiscing.

"So it's all downhill from here sir?" Eric asked.

"Yeah," Bob said sadly.

"Not if Lucy has anything to say about it," Donna said encouragingly.

"You got that right," Lucy said with a smirk.

"Well good luck with that," Bob said unconvinced as he walked away.

"What happened to your dad's hair?" Kelso asked dumbfounded.

"He got a permanent," Donna laughed as her and Lucy walked back to her house.

All of them sat in a restaurant, snacking on fries and killing time. Jackie had gone to the bathroom and dragged Donna with her.

Hyde sat down next to Lucy and reached over to take some of her fries, "So LSD, what's up with the Crusier?"

"Beats me, apparently Eric's getting it." she moped as she took some of his shake.

"Right, but we all need it for this weekend to see Todd Rudgren and Eric's too afraid to ask your dad if he's getting the car or not."

"I am not!" Eric said directly across from them.

"Tell him to grow a pair and just do it."

"Right here!" Eric yelled.

"I do not think they can hear you," Fez noted as he took a bite of his burger.

"Trust me, I tried doll. So I came to talk to you, your mission is to talk to your parents and either convince them to give it to you or him, doesn't matter which to me as long as we get to go to Milwaukee."

"It matters to me!" Eric yelled.

"What makes you think I'd help?" Lucy tilted her head.

"Because if not you're uninvited to the concert!" Kelso yelled, annoyed that the girl was threatening to not get them a ride.

"Kelso, man, that's no way to get through to her," Hyde said as he turned to Kelso. He turned back to Lucy who looked unimpressed and impatient and he responded, "Because I know you hate Point Place and crave adventure, even if it's just for a night. If we don't get the car none of can go to the concert and that's another boring night stuck here." Hyde challenged, he knew that she couldn't say no when he put it like that.

Lucy pursed her lips, "We'll see," she said casually as she looked away from him and back to steal food from Eric who shouted in protest.

"That's how you do it," Hyde said to Kelso.

The next day, Lucy went to go talk to her parents. She stopped in the kitchen, sitting up straight on the chair by the counter, watching her mother bake.

"Hi Mama!" she said cheerily.

"Hello dear. What do you need?" Kitty said kindly as she looked over her recipe.

"Oh nothing much, I was just wondering, if I ever wanted to run errands or go out on the weekends if I could take the Vista Cruiser—only if you weren't using it for work of course!"

"Well, I'd have to talk to your father, I think he was talking about giving it to Eric. But I'll put in a good word for you, because between you and me—girls are much more mature than boys at this age." Kitty winked at Lucy.

Lucy hopped off the stool, "Thank you Mama!" she kissed her mother's cheek. She was on cloud nine knowing that she could soon have a car.

Later that day Lucy sat on her bed, painting her nails as she sung along to Hey Jude.

"Lucy! Would you go get your brother from downstairs?" Kitty hollered up the stairs.

Lucy sprinted downstairs and to the basement. Pausing at the bottom of the steps to catch her breath and immediately being hit with the smell of weed.

"You guys started The Circle without me?" she complained.

The four boys looked at her and laughed, all clearly completely high. "You can join us dollface," Hyde laughed.

Lucy faked a smile, which soon became a real one when she realized what her parents were talking to them about. "Eric, Mom and Dad need to talk to us upstairs."

The four boys exchanged looks and Eric jumped up from his seat. The twins both ran back upstairs, Lucy knowing she held the advantage.

Eric and Lucy took a seat in the kitchen. Lucy almost couldn't process anything they were saying because she was so excited that she was getting a car. An actual car. To drive. Plus watching Eric trying to pay attention to their parents was just too funny.

"Excuse me are we getting a car?" the twins said in unison.

"We didn't say that!" Red snapped.

Their parents began lecturing them on the responsibility and rules of the car. Finally Red threw the keys into the air and Eric caught them.

"Bitchin'!" he cheered.

"Eric, not in front of your mother!" Red chastised. "Oh and one more thing, Eric, you drive your sister wherever she needs to go whenever. I will not have her driving alone with all those psychos on the road."

Eric and Lucy exchanged a look before Eric asked, "But I can drive with the psychos on the road alone?"

"Rather it be you in a ditch than her," Red said without hesitating. The twins exchanged another look and Lucy shrugged.

At least now they had a car. Now they had freedom. Now they could go to the concert.
