In the morning I woke up as I sighed being the only one in bed. My body killed me. When we left the hospital the doctor gave me pain meds but I didn't take them. I had a water bottle on my nightstand as I took the pills. I laid back down.
It was quiet...
Too quiet...
I got up before tripping on a pair of legs, I fell onto the floor to find a man on my bedroom floor dressed in huggys colors. He had a white button-up on with a blue vest over it with a yellow bow tie, yellow gloves, and black shoes with black dress pants. Their hair was blue with blue freckles on their face and red thin lips.
I poke it as their eyes shot open "y/n, baby, you okay" the man spoke softly putting his hand in his cheek "don't touch me" I told him as he looked at his hand "AHH" the man yelled as he rushed to the bathroom. A female ran in to see "du-" he turned to look at her before they both yelled, I was panicking and the doctor said to make sure I wasn't high in stress.
I left the room and went outside to sit down and think about what happened. Is it actually huggy? No, it can't be. Unless...
The male and female both ran out to me "y/n" the female spoke. I stopped them "who the fuck are you guys?" I question.
"Huggy," the man said
"Kissy," the female said
"Why did you show me this your way hotter than before," I said as kissy smirked and huggy kissed me. I grabbed his shirt and pulled him close as kissy sneaked away. He pulled away as he changed back to the blue fluffy shithead.

"You can change!?"
He nodded "yeah, but I like staying like this, draws less attention." He said I smiled and kissed him again. "You're going to draw attention you 30 feet tall sour patch" he smiled at me "20 feet actually" he corrected me I just rolled my eyes. I smiled "if your human you can go out in public", I smiled he just looked into my (e/c) eyes as he smiled softly.
"I need to go to the store" I complained
"Sis and I can come" huggy offered
his sister came out "what about me?" she asked
"want to come to the store with me," I asked
"sure, I haven't been out in a while" kissy smiled
"Let me get dressed and we can go," I said as I got up and walked to the bedroom and changed into some jeans and a t-shirt. It was getting colder in the days so I grabbed a hoodie and put it around my waist. I smiled as I left the room to see kissy and huggy humans waiting for my the door, kissy was in the same thing as huggy but pink instead of blue. I smiled as I put on my shoes and grabbed my keys "let's go sour patches" we told everyone that we would be back soon as we walked out the door to my car. I got in as huggy and kissy fought over the front seat as huggy rushed while kissy tripped him and got in the front seat.
I rolled my eyes at them as I sighed "you guys are so childish" I mumbled as huggy sat in the middle seat in the back " yeah yeah, but you love us" he said as I smiled " you sure?" I questioned as he rolled his eyes and kissed my cheek.

After a long drive, we made it to the store. I got out of my car as well as the siblings. I locked the doors as I grabbed a cart and went inside as huggy followed. "whoa" huggy smile as kissy smiled " I'm going to the makeup" she ran over to the makeup part, huggy followed me "ill stay with you, also, could we get clothes maybe?" he asked as I smiled "sure, let's do this first" I said as he nodded as we did out grocery shopping.
Kissy came back with cookies and drug store make-up while huggy stayed with me the whole time. I smiled and paid for everything and went back to the car and put everything in the trunk. I smiled and got back in the car.

Authors Notes: I consider this to be a comming-of-age Sword and Sorcery story based mostly on the style of classic western fantasies. So if that's your thing then I encourage you to take a peek. Something I want to mention though is that the main character starts of pretty wimpy, and that might not be your thing. That being said, if you stick with him he's got a long way to grow. Also, while this version of the story is meant to be fully readable, more dicerning readers may want to wait until I move out of rough draft phase. There may be some inconsistancies with character and plot while I am still in the rough draft phase. I'm sorry for this, but this is my first web novel and from what I've read the best way to get a good novel out is to write write write, and then edit ruthlessly after you're finished with the book, so that's the plan I'm going to follow. He had dreams, like any other youth. There was glory to be had in this world. He wanted to learn more of life, and lived through its motions. He wanted to live. He swept his gaze, and across him was a spanning forest of old. With a glint in his eyes, and jaws clenched, he decided to gamble with all he had. He was dying, and by now, it did not matter where his grave was. He ran down the hill, and stopped where the plains and the forest met. His eyes swept about the trees, and he could feel an instinctual urge to drag himself away. He knew what this forest was, and here, he would find his salvation. Or his doom. The voices behind him grew closer, and among the noise was the faint clanging of steel. Gritting his teeth, he ousted all the will he had from the depths of his soul and stepped forth into the forest.
