Chapter ten
Arne stood in front of the group, he was missing an eye. His face was scarred, and he was missing his right arm. But you know the whole still being alive thing was throwing her off a bit.
Skadi was pressed so hard against her fathers chest, she could've fused with him. Which would've been unfortunate.
"I tell you what gentlemen, give us the girl and we'll let you go."
Ragnar's arm was around her waist pulling her impossibly close. "Not a chance."
His sword was drawn, and Skadi followed his movements. Pulling out her dagger, white knuckled.
The two parties collided, perhaps Arnes forces outnumbered them but Ragnar Lothbrok was a legend for a reason.
A group of three men slammed into him, managing to knock the sword out of his hand. Skadi had jump on ones back, before pulling him backwards with her whole bodyweight.
Arne apparently had gotten tired of watching, stalking forward and in the confusion had grabbed Skadi by her hair. She hit him in the stomach, he knocked her head with the hilt of the sword. He was big, but slow and with only one arm, Skadi might not win but she could hold him off til her father could help her.
But Ragnar wasn't anywhere to be seen, and she was beginning to panic. She lost her dagger a while ago, she had no weapon again.
Arne pulled back before swinging his blade towards her. And in some miracle Skadi's hand was between her hard and the sharp edge.
Huh good reflex's.
She gripped it before yanking it away from him. In sheer adrenaline she shoved it through his gut before she'd even realized.
The fighting had died down, Ragnar was looking for his daughter praying her little frame wouldn't be one of the dead.

Arnes lifeless body was on top of her, and he was dam heavy. Skadi pushed him off, or tried. Jesus What was this guy made of.
Oh shit wrong religion.
Geri's wet nose found her, licking her cheeks.
"Hi puppy, wanna help me out?"
Honestly she would believe they understood her every word. The brothers pulled the body off her own.
She could finally breath.
She was in a ditch.
They must have fallen off the short ledge.
"Skadi!"
"Down here."
Ragnar's head popped up, before helping her out of the trench. The furry duo behind her.
"Are you alright?." Skadi just nodded. Her stomach hurt, but she couldn't tell if it was her stab wound or the unnerving feeling she still had.
Ragnar pulled her close, kissing the top of her head.
They weren't out of the woods just yet, a few stray men were still fighting.
"AHHHHH," Skadi pushed Ragnar away letting the attacker fall into the dirt.
"Really?" Skadi's eyebrow raised, but come on how stupid are these guys. She kicked him in the head knocking him out.
Ragnar chuckled, "that's my girl."

8 52Mana World - Convergence
The story is complete it was a prototype and it is BAD.I do not recommend reading it, I will not edit it in any form, it is still here as a personal remained of how bad I was at the start. Mages are soo cool but without mana you can't become a mage. Well let's see how we can get mana to this world. I'm sure it would be a perfectly safe and excellent idea. First try at writing something like this. Dunno if I will update constantly or not, dunno what will happen with the story and the characters. Recipe: 3 cubic meters of science, 5 shit tons of pseudo science, 2 dantians of mistycism,1/2 cup of stupid references, 1 package of sarcasm, 1/400 tolkien epicness, 1 tea spoon of stupid commentaries, a pinch of craziness and dressed with randomness, uppps, too much randomness. Accepting all kinds of constructive criticism. Well prologue is finished.
8 94The Mentor
This one is for my daughter. She talked me into it (again) and it is her favorite genre of books. So, Bet, this one is for you. The true-bloods, the masters, they came first. That was hammered into Heath's head since he could walk with both words and fists by Karen. As a guardian and half-blood bastard of his vampire father, he would never know peace. His duty as a dhampir, his duty was clear, his fate sealed. Heath was to serve Gerald, an aging Vampire Lord, one who was of pure blood, born to the race, until Heath outlived his prime and then he would pass on the knowledge that was passed to him onto a new bastard to carry protecting the bloodline. But was it necessarily his fate? Could a sterile half breed such as himself, someone who did not exist in the human world, live anywhere in the world on the light? After a particularly nasty encounter with his Mentor, Heath is on the run. Set on not becoming the new guardian and knowing that decision has now marked him for death. The hunt is on and somewhere behind him is Joshua, the heir of his Master, and the thing that plagues his nightmare, his Mentor Karen.
