《Far Too Little (Age Regression)》48. Long Long Day

"Brrrrrrrrrrr"
Ricky made a whirring noise as he dried wrens hair, making him giggle. He pulled the towel away and laughed as wrens hair stuck out every which way.
"Hair sufficiently dried beep beep"
Ricky spoke in his dodgy robot voice and wren watched, holding onto his pacifier all giggly, as he did a quick little dance demo.
We were in a pretty secluded corner of the changing room so wren wouldn't be as nervous. But that didn't seem to matter as he was completely focused on us, paying no mind to the couple of people in the background, for now at least.
"Did you like the pool princess?"
I asked wren as he shook his head to get his hair how he liked it. Wren smiled
"Wrenny like"
"Oh that's wonderful"
After I think the quickest possible shower under the pool showers (as wren started to get upset when someone began using the shower next to us) we had changed wren out of his swim suit back into the bear onesie. I was changed back into what I was wearing before, we just needed Ricky to change.
As he did I held wren in my arms, keeping him occupied with little tickles and bounces. After our usual nonsensical conversation, wren asked.
"Papa what we doin now?"
"Probably just going back up to the room bubba"
Wren frowned a little
"Why?"
"Because it's getting late, and we can relax a bit up there"
Wren looked almost heartbroken at that response.
"Noo! No lathe, no yet. We can's go s'eepies"
He anxiously pulled at his fingers and whimpered. Ricky pulled his t shirt over his head and looked to us. I comfortingly ran my hand over Wrens hair as he whined.
Ricky crouched down close to wren.
"What's the issue little bat?"
"No gettinin lathe, no stop an go seepies. No no no!"
"Hey were not going to bed anytime soon little bat, but are you getting a little antsy because you're tired?'
"Noh!"
Wren exclaimed, obviously offended at the idea of him being tired. Ricky set off on diverting the cranky ones attention, the way he does so well.
"I must say wren, I'm very impressed that you're not tired. Anyone would be after the day we've had. It's been very busy"
Wren smiled a little and nodded in agreement.
"We've done so much today.. can you remember all the stuff we did baby?"
Wren started sucking his pacifier harder in concentration thinking about all of today. I stood with him and he didn't seem to care as I shifted him slightly over my shoulder, whether he wanted to look behind me or snuggle up into my neck.
"Go on bubba, let's remember what fun we had today. Tell us everything."
Wren began,
"In da mornin, I haves nanners and ohmeal an I plays wit my blocks and after a snackie, me an daddy me we do packining"
"Yeah we did finish the packing this morning"
Ricky encouraged as we walked out of the changing room. All the people who awed and cooed as we passed did not phase wren as he passionately spun the tale of today.
"Then we uh... go to da shops, an- an wrenny make lots of deshizins"
"Oh wow that was alot of decisions, then what happened bubba?"
Wren leaned more into me as we walked through the lobby.
"Lady make me feel sad but den I gots cuddles, so ok"
Ricky smiled and gave me and wren a quick hug.
"You were so brave baby"
Wren giggled and bashfully put his hand up to his face
"Yeh Wenny bwave... an den... I gots my cookie!!"
He suddenly remembered, excitedly babbling. Me and Ricky smiled at the sweet baby. Wren was so absorbed in recounting the day that he didn't even realise we were headed back to room. Hopefully for a bit of a wind down.
We waited for the lift, Ricky for no particular pressing the button over and over in a consistent beat.
"Den we's in duh car for long long time.. gone sleepies"
Wren then giggled to himself
"An I saids a bad thing-"
Wren giggled more outwardly, smiling at me.
"-An made Papa laugh"
I sniggered as we the lift finally opened and we entered. Ricky rolled his eyes at me, but he couldn't hold in a chuckle himself.
"Then I woke up, in da room an looked out the big window"
"It was a very big window"
"An an then we went sploring an saw the p'incess! Vewy pwetty and nice"
"And you were were so brave talking to her bubba"
Ricky added.
"And she was very good with you baby, very paitent and certainly nice"
Wren quickly followed.
"Yeh! She wansa see my pwincess dwess, an she saids I cuds bwing my stuffies"
"Oh well just have to go see her again, now what happened after the Princess?"
The elevator dinged and the doors opened as wren went on.
"Then we dids all-a-the bags an I helped lots"
"We couldn't have done it without you bubba"
We walked up the corridor to our door with wren going on. Ricky opened the door and I slipped in with wren and he followed behind.
"An then we gones swiminin!"
Ricky shut the door behind us and that seemed to awaken wren from his happy babbles. He look around and finally realised he'd been carried back to the room.
Wren whined but I bounced him and reassured.
"Shshsh bubba keep going, were listening"
Wren pouted and snuggled up to me.
"Um den I started talkins an wes back here, buh- buh we go-in more splorin!"
Wren fussed as I walked over and placed him down on the bed. Ricky threw the bags to the side and jumped on the bed next to him.
"Baby bear you heard yourself, we've already done a whole lot today. It's time to wind down baby"
"Buh....um"
Wren put his hands up to his face and fussed more. He started to whimper a bit and Ricky held open his arms.
"Oh come 'ere baby bear"
Wren quickly crawled forward into Ricky's lap and smashed his face into his chest. Wren continued to whimper.
"Hey now, no need to be getting upset wren. Tell daddy whats up"
I sat down beside them both as wren peeked out at Ricky.
"Havin fun tuhday, don wanna stop"
I choose not to say anything and let Ricky take the lead with this one.
"It's been a very fun day wren, you're right. And we're gonna have lots more fun tomorrow"
Wren whimpered.
"Buh I'm noh ti-urd, no sleepies. Pease daddy. Wrenny wake"
Wren mumbled and Ricky ran his fingers lovingly through Wren's hair.
"Well thats ok baby, were not going to bed just yet, were just gonna stay in the room"
"Oh... s-sowwy"
"You don't have to apologise baby bear"
"Oki-"
Wren stopped suddenly as his tummy loudly grumbled. He whined a bit, beginning to fuss more.
"Oh someone's hungry"
Ricky laughed for a second but wren kept fussing, pu
"Shshsh little bat, how's some red milk sound? Huh? Settle your rumbly tum a bit"

Wren nodded, sitting himself up and crawling in the position he'd normally take when feeding off Ricky.
Ricky picked away at a small cut on his neck
Wren immediately latched on, gently suckling at Ricky's neck. Ricky switching between rubbing his back and petting his hair.
"Good boy wren, lovely little bug"
Suddenly Ricky's stomach also growled.
"You also hungry?"
"Yeah I could definitely eat"
"Mhm same, think it'd be easier for me to go pick something up."
"Whatever works"
"What have we got for the little one?"
"Well we brought baby food for wren-"
Wren made a little noise of displeasure
"It's the one you like little bat"
Wren made a happier noise and tuned us back out to keep drinking from Ricky.
"Ok so what for me and you? I saw a few nice looking takeaway places on the way in"
"Oooh we haven't had a takeaway in a while. Im gonna enjoy this...If you're feeling it, I'm feeling Chinese"
"I'm always feeling what you're feeling darling"
I lifted up Ricky's hand and placed a gentle kiss to it. He laughed.
"Quit being so gentlemanly, you'll make me blush"
I laughed too, standing while adding on.
"Ricky honey, you know it's my duty as the world's best husband to make you blush"
Ricky gasped.
"You know im the world's best husband"
"Au contraire, my beloved other half"
Ricky just sort of stared at me for a second, dumbfounded I'd stole his usual flair in language.
"Oh shut up"
I snickered
"I thought we agreed to watch the language around the Princess"
Wren stopped drinking for a second tried to hide his giggles but failed miserably and Ricky groaned.
"Just get out, go get food."
I laughed more to myself and Ricky looked for something around him to throw at me as I stood. I gave Wren a little kiss to his cheek.
"I'll be back super soon bubba, you won't even miss me"
"Oki Papa, wuv oo"
I smiled and kissed his cheek again. He then latched back onto Ricky's neck.
I did the same for Ricky and he stuck his tongue out at me. I returned the favour.
"I'll be back in like 30-40 minutes. Love you"
"I suppose I love you too"
"What a lovely sentiment to leave me with as go and so graciously get food for you"
"Oh my god just go!"

I was sat up against the headboard of the bed with wren still feeding as I pet his hair. It was still sort of damp from the pool, even with my amazing robotic drying methods.
We hadn't given wren a proper wash down there, just sort of running all of us under the shower water for a second.
After a bit wren decided he was done and unlatched, then opting to snuggle into my chest and mess with my t shirt.
I stood with wren and went over to one of our bags, rummaging around till I found a small packet of hello kitty plasters. I placed one over the cut that wren was drinking from.
"Baby bear?"
I tried to get wrens attention but he was engrossed in his own thoughts and my t shirt.
"Wren darling~"
I sang, still nothing. I eventually resorted to a gentle tickle under his chin, making him giggle and look up to me.
"Wren, while Papa's out we should get ourselves all ready to finish off our perfect day with a perfect night"
Wren stared at me blankly, so I explained more simply.
"How about a bath, comfy pyjamas, cuddles and a cookie?"
Wren smiled and eagerly nodded. Then he stopped, giving me a curious look.
"Bubbles?"
"Of course baby bear, it's not a bath without bubbles."
Wren smiled again and got out his wash bag as well as a little bag of some of his favourite bath toys. I brought us into the bathroom, sitting wren on the closed toilet seat. I started to run the bath, throwing in the little bottle of provided body wash as bubbles. It bubbled up nicely as the bath ran.
I got wren out of his bear onesie and held him close to me as the bath filled more.
"Here baby, throw them in"
I opened up the little bath toy bag and handed wren a rubber unicorn duck. He held it in his hand for a second before sheepishly throwing the duck. It made a little splash before resting nicely amist the suds.
"Splish"
Wren whispered, giggling a little.
"I think we can make an even bigger splish, try again baby"
I handed wren a blue rubber shark and he threw it a bit harder into the tub, making a much more impactful splash. Wren erupted in more giggles, clapping his hands as I chuckled.
"Ok one more sweetie"
I handed wren another rubber toy, a purple octopus. He excitedly chucked it in, however instead of splooshing into the water, it hit the side, bouncing back up and bopping me right on the nose.
"Oof-"
I said more out of surprise than hurt. I was about to laugh it off and throw the toy back in but wrens look of absolute shell shock stopped me. He started to blubber.
"Am sowwy dada! Wenny sowwy- didn' mean to. Am sowwy!"
Wren frantically explained. He then held either side of my face, pulling me down and himself up. Before I could say he alright or ask what he was doing, wren planted a little kiss on my nose. He pulled away with a hopeful look.
"Bettur?"
I beamed at my little boys kind heart.
"A thousand times better, thank you baby bear"
I nuzzled the side of his head, peppering little kisses. He made a happy little squeal and I gave him a quick squeeze.
"You're such a good boy wren. My perfect little angel, you never cease to amaze me"
Wren blushed a little, babbling and nuzzling into my chest.
"Good dada too"
He mumbled and I awed.
"Awe you sweet little thing. Now let's get you all squeaky clean"
I turned off the tap and ripped the tabs on wrens diaper, leaving it as I lifted wren up and into the bubbly tub. He giggled and swished his hands through the water, eventually finding the unicorn ducky and excitedly squeaking it.
It made me so happy to see wren having fun in the bath. He was so genuinely terrified of them when he first arrived and its incredible to see his progress, and that he now associates them with happier things, like a squeaky unicorn duck.
I dunked in the remaining few toys, little boats and subs (minus the evil octopus that wren refused entry because she hurt me, saying a time out was in order). Then with wren nicely distracted with his bubbles and toys, I got right to washing. I grabbed a little cup off the counter, meant to hold toothbrushes and things.
"Head back sweetie"
I calmly instructed and wren tilted his head back, without batting an eye away from his little unicorn duck adventures. I filled the cup up with water a poured it down wrens hair.
"Good boy"
I lightly praised as I reached for the baby shampoo. I massaged wrens head as I thoroughly rubbed it through. He hummed and giggled, making me laugh.
"Silly baby"
I washed away the shampoo and the washing continued on without issue. After the proper washing was all done I let wren stay and play in the bath as long as he liked.
He splished and splashed his toys in an out of the water till all of the bubbles were gone, eventually asking.
"Daddy?"
"Yes baby bear?"
"Can I brings my toys to da pool? They can swim so it ok?"
I hadn't thought of bringing the bath toys.
"I don't see why not baby, next time we'll bring them"
Wren squealed and splashed them in and out of the water.
He played for a little while longer before declaring.
"Daddy ouh pease"
"Course sweetie"
I lifted wren out of the bath and immediately wrapped him up a hotel towel, making the robot sound as I dried him to get him to laugh as I got most of the wet off him.
I unplugged the bath and left it to drain. I stood up with wren all wrapped in the towel and carried him out of the bathroom, picking up his onesie as well.
"My giggly little bat"
I tickled his neck and he squealed.
"Lets just get a diapy on you before we keep drying"
I cooed as I got out a changing mat, laying it on the floor and changing wren into a fresh light blue and pink puzzle patterned diaper.
I then sat wren on the edge of the bed and held the towel at ready.
"Wren you ready for robotic speed drying"
"Brrrrrrr"
Wren made the sound and I took that as yes, so began doing the same.
"Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"
We whirred in unison as I efficiently dried wrens curly mop. After I pulled away the towel we stopped and just to be sure he was fully dry, wren gave his head a shake.
"Time for jimmy jams"
I dressed wren back in his comfy bear onesie, putting up the hood and giving him a simple smiley face pacifier. Wren babbled happily.
"Pj wamas"
I chuckled.
"Yeah pj ramas, so smart baby"
I picked wren up and bounced him.
"So what should we do next baby? Playing or cuddles?"
Wren throught hard for a second.
"Stuffies and cuggles... an ponies pwease?"
"So good using your manners baby, of course we can watch ponies as well"
I praised as I grabbed 2 stuffies out of the playpen and one from the swim bag.
I got us all cozied up at the top of the bed and started flipping through TV channels to see if there was any my little pony playing. Sadly I couldn't find anything.
'Hmmm, no ponies, sorry wren"
Wren seemed a little saddened but just snuggled up to me more. I flicked around until eventually.
"Daddy wook!"
"I see baby I see!"
Me and wren both sat up in excitement.
"Mahlilda!"
The best movie ever just happened to be starting.
"I think I know what we're watching baby"
"Mahlilda?"
Wren asked. I chuckled
"You're right baby bear, so smart"
"Like mahlilda?"
"Yeah baby, just like matilda"
"I gots powahs too"
"And its very impressive bubba"
I gave Wren a little temple kiss and we zoned in on the movie.
We happily watched all snuggled up together till the room door opened.
"Papa back!"
Wren squirmed away from me and crawled to the end of the bed as David walked in.
"Hello there princess"
David picked wren up, balancing him on his hip with just one arm as the other held a paper bag that smelled very good.
David sat down on his side of the bed, putting wren down in between us.
"Gor our usual, fried rice, noodles and a spice bag to split"
"God my mouth is watering, let's eat. I'll just grab a jar for wren"
I quickly grabbed a jar of food, baby spoon and a bib as David talked to wren.
"So what did you get up to while I was gone bubba?"
"I hadsa bubbly baf an me an daddy watchin malilda"
"I can see that, can I watch it with you?"
"Yeah! We cans cuggle"
I sat back down beside the two.
"Lets get you fed little bat"
I pulled wrens bear hood down and tied the bib around his neck. I took out his pacifier and opened the jar.
"David divide up the goods"
"Already on it"
Wren thankfully was no fuss as I fed him spoonfuls of nutritious mush.
"Such a good little princess"
David ruffled wrens hair and he finished dividing up the food. He passed me a tray and I took it, putting it down on my bedside table.
After a bit wren put his hand up to stop the spoon.
"No more peases"
"Oh, you full baby bear?"
"Need woom for cookie"
David chuckled.
"Thats a good idea bubba, but how about a few more spoons"
Wren took a second, counting his fingers and holding up two.
"This many"
"Thats a very good amount baby bear"
I stirred up the baby food and scooped another spoon.
Wren ate the last few spoons without taking his eyes off the movie.
"And... done. Good job baby"
Wren smiled at the praise and I took off his bib. He pulled his bear hood up and looked to me.
"Cookie now?"
"Course baby, I'll grab it now. You snuggle up with Papa"
Wren did so, with David wrapping his arm around him as he ate. I grabbed wrens cookie and returned to the bed.
"Look what I've got wren"
Wren did a little gasp and made grabby hands at me.
"Cookie!"
"Here you go sweetie"
I gave Wren his cookie and he eagerly began pulling bits off it and scoffing them.
I got my tray of take out from the side table and properly started eating as we all watched matilda.
After a little while, David put his empty tray to the side and scooched in closer with me and wren.
"So princess, do you like the hotel?"
Wren responded inbetween bites of cookie.
"Yeah! Lotel lots of fun- an an- wrenny weally likin it. Awe we gona haves mowe fun tomowow?"
I swallowed a mouthful of rice and gave Wren chin a little tickle.
"Oh definitely, what do you wanna do baby?"
"Ummmm... I dunno, lots I wanna do"
"Well we've got all week bubba, ain't that nice?"
"Y-yeah!"
Wren beamed and snuggled in deeper to the both of us. We cuddled in as well.
