Laying on the table I look around the room as they set things up for the abortion. I didn't want to get rid of my baby but Jodie felt like we weren't ready right now.

"Are you sure this is something you want to do sweetheart"? The doctor asked me as she washed her hands.

Slowly nodding she gives me a small smile before putting her gloves on.

Sitting down in front of me she picks up some kind of tool before opening my legs.

"You'll feel a little discomfort but it'll all be over soon". She said patting my knee.

When I felt the tool go inside me I look to the side as tears rolled down my cheeks.

"You're doing so good". She said trying to comfort me but that couldn't help me at this moment.

"And we're done". She said taking her gloves off and throwing them in the trash as the nurses cleaned up.

Walking over to me she opened her arms and bring me into a hug.

"It's going to be alright, I can't say that I know how you feel but you'll get through this". She said before pulling away and giving me a small smile.

Watching them walk out of the room I take the gown off and put my clothes back on before going to sign out.

Walking outside I see Jodie sitting in the car listening to music but when he looked over and saw me he quickly got out and tried to help me.

"Don't touch me". I said pushing him away as I opened the car door.

"Baby just let me". He started to say before I slammed the door in his face.

Letting out a sigh he walks over to the driver's side and gets in. Looking at me for a second he drives off.

Once we made it home I tried to help her out of the car and everything but she just kept pushing me away so I gave up and said fuck it.

Sitting on the couch I scroll through tv channels while Yvette lies down in the room.

"Man fuck this". I mumbled to myself standing up and walking to our room.

"Can I use the car"? I ask standing at the doorway as she lay with her back facing me.

"You gone ask to use my car after what I just went through Jodie". She asked sitting up and facing me.

"Shit you laying in here". I said with my face scrunched up.

"You know what take the damn car". She said grabbing the keys off of the nightstand by the bed and throwing them at me.

"Watch that shit". I said pointing at her as I bent down to grab the keys.

"Just get out". She said rolling her eyes before turning back around and laying down.

Smacking my lips I turn around and leave. Locking the door behind me I jog down the stairs and get in the car pulling off.

Pulling up into the driveway I get out of the car and walk toward the house. Finding the key I unlock the door and walk in.

"Peanut". I call out looking around the house until I heard the shower going.

Walking to the back I open the bathroom door and snatch the curtains back.

"What the fuck Jodie you scared me". She said staring at me as I looked her up and down.

"Hurry up so you can make me something to eat". I said walking out and to her room.

Laying on her bed I hear the shower cut off letting me know she got out.

Turning on the tv I decided to watch football while I wait.

"Here". She said handing me my plate before taking a seat beside me.

"Where's my daughter". I ask taking a bite out of the sausage.

"She's with my mother". She said putting on some music as she lit a blunt taking a drag from it.

After that, the room fell silent nothing but the music could be heard as I continued to eat while she smoked.

Finishing up my plate I heard a car door shut letting me know her mom was back.

"Shit shit shit". She said spraying air freshener all over the room.

The door opened and her mom walked in with a mug on her face.

"Hey, Ms. Herron". I said smiling as I stood up taking my daughter from her.

"What have I told you about parking in my spot next time I'm gone have your shit towed and turn that shit down". She said before walking out and slamming the door behind her.

"Yo moms got some problems". I said looking over at her with a small laugh.

"Nah she just doesn't like you". She said taking serenity and putting her on the side before climbing into my lap.

"G what you doing get the fuck off of me with my daughter right here". I said pushing her to the side before picking serenity back up.

"Hey, daddies baby". I said kissing her cheek before laying her down on my chest and patting her back.

Smacking her lips she snatched the remote from beside me before turning the channel.

After a couple of minutes, serenity fell asleep and I laid her on the bed. Standing up I grab my keys and kiss serenity's forehead.

"I'm about to go". I said walking over to her.

Ignoring me she continued to look at the tv. Smacking my lips I lean down and kiss her before walking out of the room.

"Alright, Ms.Herron I'm gone". I said walking past her as she sat in the living room.

"Mhm". She said taking a drag from her cigarette.

Shaking my head I walk out to the car and get in driving off.

Parking the car I get out and lock the doors before walking up the stairs and unlocking the door.

Tossing the keys on the counter I walk to the back and see that Yvette was still sleeping so I slip out of my clothes leaving me in my boxers and lay down.

Wrapping my arms around her I close my eyes.
