About a month later

I've seen Stokeley and Geneva walking around outside lately and I've literally done nothing but think about him.

I like him, I really do, and I can't do anything about it. I pick my phone up to text him, I type it out and then delete it.

I get a text from Jahseh.

hey the group and i are going somewhere later, you wanna go?

i reply, is stokes gonna be there?

no, he said he couldn't go

okay then sure, just come pick me up when you're ready. i reply back

i'll be there in 10

We stop texting and we go to the mall to hang out. We all sit down and talk about stuff when I see Stokeley walk through the doors.

"Yo what's up vro's" he laughs and walks over. He glances at me.

"I thought he wasn't coming" I mouth to Jahseh.

"I didn't know either" he mouths back, "What's up with you bro, how's you and g?"

I move around awkwardly, "I'll uh, I'll be right back." I get up and walk around the mall for a second. I come back and Stokeley asks to talk to me.

"Hey so like can you and I talk?" he asks.

"Yeah.. I guess so." I sort of roll my eyes and walk off with him. "So. um. you have a girlfriend now?" I take a drink trying to hide any bad emotion I had from saying that.

"She isn't really my girlfriend, she kind of is, more like talking but yeah." he explains and looks over at me.

I nod awkwardly, "What did you wanna talk about?"

"I mean I just miss us hanging out you kno-" he gets cut off by Gen running into us.

I take a breath and look away for a second, "Billie, this is Gen, Gen, this is Billie."
