: Hiii how is everybody?
I just noticed that it's high time to update this story again! So here you go, I hope you enjoy.
''Do you want to stop by the ice cream shop? You can taste any flavour you'd like..'' Harry smiled and looked at the smaller boy that was stil so young for something so terrible happening to him
It made his heart ache. He wanted to give the boy everything his heart desired, wanted to build love and trust up again after it had been shattered years ago with the loss of Louis' parents.
Louis still did not understand why they just left.. He was so young, anything could have happen to such a small boy being left alone.
He sniffled once before he shook his head, ''No that's very.. kind of you but I'm getting belly hurting from it.'' Louis frowned and looked down. He wasn't like the other kids.
Louis did not like to eat junk food or very sweet things. Such as chocolate or ice cream. Just because he grew up eating mostly berries or flesh from a shot deer. Mommy and Daddy did have a huge storeroom, filled with food for the upcoming winter. It was enough for a little Louis, till he had to learn to hunt for himself.
But daddy taught him.
Harry furrowed his brows softly, ''oh? I've never heard of a child getting cramps from eating ice cream. Just from eating too much of it,'' he laughed, a kind-hearted warm laugh that filled the car.
Louis blushed.
''I just.. don't like stuff like this I know I'm weird.'' Louis breathed out, clutching his teddy tighter to his chest and nuzzled his face in its neck.
''You are not.. You are different, Louis. A very smart young boy. And I'm very glad that I picked you to spend me company'', Harry cooed, tapping Louis' chin up to cause the boy to look at him.
They both breathed out shakily, their eyes searching for the other ones.
There was a sudden tension in the air as the two males studied each other, Harry's forest green eyes scanning over Louis' face curiously. ''Your eyes remind me of the forest.. in summer. Pretty and green'', Louis said shyly before he was turning his face away to look out of the window as they drove up to Harry's house.
'House' was an underestimated term. Residence, mansion described it better.
It was kept in a formal but noble white with two balconys and Louis was already excited to find out what laid behind it in the yard. Harry told him that it was huge. He hoped he would keep his promise and spent one night in a tent, outside.

Harry was left stunned, a small smile coming up on his face. The boy was full of surprises.
~
As they trotted inside, Louis clutched his things tightly to his chest. Harry's mansion was warm and nicely decorated. Pretty.
Louis pushed his fringe out of his face, taking his shoes off and placed them underneath the jackets that hung on a hook on the wall, before he backed up against the wall. Curious eyes scanning the floor while Harry moved inside.
''I hope you like it here..'' Harry hummed quietly, moving to slide his coat off his broad shoulders. He had such an elegance that caused Louis' cheek to brigthen up. He felt like a little child next to the man.
''It is very nice, Sir. More that I could wish for..'' Louis got quieter to the end of his sentence and chewed on his lip slowly before Harry chuckled and nodded, gesturing for Louis to look over to the stairs, his large palm placed on the younger boy's small back.
''Up there will be your room. It has a balcony with a lovely view at the yard. Though, if you don't like it we will find another room for you, hm?'' Harry's eyes glanced softly down at the younger boy who squirmed lightly at the closeness of the man.
''Are you hungry?'' The taller man spoke softly, tilting his head down, ''we can cook dinner together.''
And that's what they did. While Louis sat on the counter, watching the older man moving with his teddy clutched to him, Harry moved around the kitchen. Usually, someone cooked for him but he gave his servants a few days off so Louis could settle in his life.
He thought that Louis had enough to do, getting to know Harry.
''We're having lamb with green beans dipped in garlic with a side dish of potatoes, will that be alright?'' He placed his hands on his thighs, straightening up again after getting a pan and a pot out.
Louis' eyes just widened and he nodded.
''What's your favourite color?'' The boy said after a while, almost timidly while he studied Harry who was busy with cooking. Yet he kept glancing at the younger boy from time to time. It was just adorable.
''Mine is green.. It's just such a fresh colour and it reminds me of spring.. the time when the flowers raise their blossom again, welcoming the warm sun'', Harry smiled and looked up at Louis, ''and yours?''
''Orange. But not a bright one.. an orange like the rising sun that tints the sky with her warm light. I watch the sun rise every morning.'' Louis mumbled, looking at his Teddy before meeting Harry's eyes again, noticing he stopped his actions. The younger boy fascinated him.

It was just so cute to watch Louis sit on the counter with his teddy bear clutched to his chest.
''If you want to, we can watch it together, tomorrow?''
Louis perked his head up again, smiling shyly.
''That would be nice.. it's when I'm closest to Mommy and Daddy.''
Harry and Louis had dinner a while later. Harry was talking a lot about his life while Louis just listened. He wasn't much of a speaker. He liked watching Harry's lips move while he spoke, though. Harry had a nice low raspy voice.
''Let's get you into bed now hm? We wouldn't want your head to fall on your plate'' Harry laughed softly and smiled.
It was nice having someone around him that just liked listening to him while he talked.
The boy was all Harry could wish for.
Louis yawned, tummy very full and rubbed his eyes with his sleeve covered wrists. He got up, grabbing his teddy and Harry would love to pick the tiny boy up and carry him in his bed but he didn't know how he would react.
It would probably be too much. He held his hand out instead, leaving it open for the boy to take his hand or not.
His dimples popped as he felt Louis' way smaller hand in his own, his grip light but it was there.
''If anything's wrong during the night, come to me and tell me okay? Don't be shy to wake me up.''
Harry hummed, leading the boy up the stairs with Louis' bag in his other hand.
Louis just nodded sleepily, eyes widening softly as he saw his room for the first time.
This all felt like a dream. A big bed for him alone, his tummy filled with yummy food and a nice handsome man that took care of him. He almost waited to wake up again.
Harry placed Louis' on his bed, pulling the blankets back, ''I have a pajama for you, if you want to'' He smiled and moved to the closet while Louis studied the room for a while before he cuddled down and opened his mouth in a big 'o' shape to yawn.
''There you go.. '' Harry got his pajama out and placed it on his bed, looking down at the younger boy who already had his eyes dropping with fatigue.
''Sleep tight, little one'' He smiled and stroked over the boy's soft hair, dipping down to press a kiss to his temple.
Louis only hummed in reply, gripping his teddy tighter and mewled softly as Harry tucked him in.
The curly man smiled and moved out of the room, not entirely closing the door because he was afraid that something would happen and he would not be able to hear him.
He made his way to his bathroom to brush his teeth and got his phone out, writing his sister a text
The boy is very adorable. I'll have a good time with him, thanks sis x - love, H
He spit the toothpaste out again, furrowing his brows lightly at the sudden ping, that occurred only a minute later
Told ya!!! I'm happy x Can't wait to meet him! Kisses xxxxx
Harry laughed softly and shook his head.
His sister was lovely.
~
Louis flinched as the next thunder cracked and whimpered lightly, leaning his forehead against the cold window before the door behind him creaked, revealing a sleepy Harry with only sweatpants that were hugging his low waist. His body was scattered in tattoos.
Louis was fascinated by people who decided to use their skin as a canvas.
''Louis? Are you okay?'' Harry mumbled, voice dripping with sleep before he moved over to Louis who was standing by the window, blanket draped over his shoulders as he held his teddy in one hand.
He changed into the pajamas.
Harry smiled down at the younger boy and jutted his lip out in a pout. Louis wore the shirt the other way around but Harry hadn't had the heart to tell the boy. He seemed fine with how he wore it.
''Y-yeah.. s-sometimes in stormy nights I see mommy and daddy..'' He whispered, eyes glancing back out of the window.
''They wear white clothes and smile at me.. almost like angels. Yeah, angels. Do you think they're in heaven?'' Louis whispered and looked up at Harry who frowned lightly before his face fell soft
''I think they are angels, yes. Even though I've always believed that people turn into little stars up in the sky, showing off how happy they are in heaven''
Louis smiled softly at that and nodded, sniffling a little.
''Do we search for mommy and daddy tomorrow?'' Louis' blue eyes shone at Harry sadly watching the older man nod softly.
''We will.. Now we're going to bed hm? I can sleep in the couch in here, if you want me to..''
''If you do not snore..?''
Harry laughed, holding onto his belly before he smiled gently at Louis.
''If I do then pinch my nose."

Life in the New World
On the Hiatus: I began writing this novel when I was, in all honesty, very bad at writing. I hope to revisit creative writing in the near future and I plan to, at some point in time, revisit this. I am flattered that many people have taken the time to read this story, but it is not what I intend to start with, as it will likely need a hard rewrite in order to correct many of the more glaring issues it has. Join our hero and follow his exciting adventure through a newly changed world! WARNING their will be violence, profanity,, and gore in this fiction. if any of these make you uncomfortable this is not a story for you turn around and walk away now!!!
