《Mr. CEO gets what he wants》Chapter 9

-2 months later-
Trinity POV
"Congratulations! You're having twins!" My doctor says as she is watching the ultrasound right before her.
My eyes widen in surprise and Liam grips my hand tighter.
"That's an amazing babe." He pecks my cheek as he says that. I only nod, unable to produce a full sentence in reply.
"Would you like to know the sexes?"
I nod instantly. I've been so anxious to know from the moment I felt movement, Tina, and Liam as well.
Both Tina and Liam have been great supports in the last 2 months, I even received a call from my older sister, which was ironic because after what happened with Liam, I really wanted to get back in contact with my immediate family. No one could beat the love I feel towards Tina, but I wanted support from someone who's gone through a pregnancy in the family.
Anna; my sister, and I's relationship grew through these months. Not just with her but with my other siblings. My parents, on the other hand, weren't that thrilled that I made my way back. I always did tell Anna to say hi for me but I knew they-my parents- couldn't give 2 shits.
"Alright, so right now I'm seeing that you will be expecting identical twin girls!"
My already wide eyes bulge out even more, almost feels like their about to leave my face.
Wow, two girls? Now I have to deal with temper tantrums from 2 girls, how lovely.
"Do you by any chance know the due date?" I finally speak out.
"It should be around January time, but you could possibly deliver a few weeks prior or after so don't be too worried about that. As long as you stick to a healthy diet, take your vitamins, exercise, and don't overstress, this pregnancy should continue on smoothly. Let me just get these pictures printed and you off to go until next months appointment."
I smile at the Dr. and thank her.
I turn to Liam with a large smile.
"I can't believe I'm having girls. It's so weird to think at twenty I'm already a mother."
He kisses the top of my head. "You'll make an amazing one too."
Liam.
Oh, Liam.
He made such a surprises entry into my life shortly after my break up with Nathan. It was a week after to be exact and the wound was still fresh but the moment I accidentally, literally ran into him at the grocery store, the heartache simply vanished. I don't know if its the fact that he was an extremely attractive guy or if my pregnancy hormones were just getting to me.
Ever since then we've hit it off. I don't know how I managed to bounce back after Nathan, because Nathan was someone dearly special to me, I almost thought I was in love every time I rethink of the moments we spent together happily. It does sadden me that he didn't even call to ask about his own children, maybe even a simple text asking if they were alright. I guess not, though...
"Alright so here are the pictures," She hands them to me in an envelope, "and I rescheduled for the 4 of October at 10 am."
"Thank you, Dr. Roven, we'll see you then."
"Alright dear take care."
After that, Liam and I leave the room and go towards the exit. The moment we step out, we are swarmed by multiple paparazzi snapping pictures of us.
Did I forget to mention Liam was an actor?

Ever since Nathan and I broke up, someone tipped them off and since then they wouldn't leave me alone and now that I'm with Liam stories of a cheating scandal erupted, and the question as to who the child belonged to. It was crazy but my effort to avoid all this was useless so I just went with it and did my best to ignore.
We quickly use to the car and Liam starts it up and we drive towards Liam's house.
"You okay?" He asks in a gentle tone, placing a hand on my thigh, which makes me feel a little better.
"I wish they would leave us alone, I'm tired of needing to constantly hide or make sure I'm eating properly before they snap an embargoing picture of me."
He only smiles and then we stay in silence as we drive back to his home.
—————
-At Liam's home-
"So, we have dinner reservations at The West at 6. We have 3 hours to get ready."
I nod and continue on making a cup of tea for myself. As I'm about to bring the cup to my lips, I feel Liam slip his hands around my waist. His body pressed against my back brings instant warmth, making me place the cup back on the island and lean into his body.
"I can figure out something to pass time." He whispers, which sends shivers down my spine.
He begins kissing up my neck, nibbling on my ear as he makes his way up. As he's doing that, I close my eyes and roll my head back in pure bliss. Before he can continue on, I quickly turn to face him and instantly smash my lips to his.
Without hesitation, he brings me closer than I already am. He nips and sucks on my bottom lip which causes me to release a soft moan.
Suddenly we're moving back towards the couch in the living room, He lays on his back with me straddled on top of him. He slowly begins taking off my shirt but I grip his hands instantly before he can do so.
I quickly clear my throat and get off of him and sit beside him on the couch.
"Maybe we should start getting ready, you know how long it takes for me to be perfect," I say with a disoriented voice.
Liam sits up, the look on anger clouding his face. "Every time we're about to take it one step closer you stop it. Is it me? Did I do something? Because if I did, please tell -"
I quickly shake my head, dismissing his words. "It's not you, trust me. It's just the pregnancy isn't making me feel too good about myself." The lie comes out of my mouth so smoothly like butter.
Truth is, I'm not comfortable with doing it since Nathan. It just didn't seem right with anybody else. It's not that I don't trust Liam, it's just that I cant. It feels wrong in away.
Liam comes closer, wrapping his arms around me. "Why are you thinking this way? You look beautiful, whatever possessed those thoughts to consume you, get them out."
Liam was so sweet about the pregnancy and I was so happy he accepted it, he even mentioned that he would love to take of these children as if they were his. Technically child but that was before we found out today.
He never lived a very lavish life growing up. At only the tender age of six, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, of course, that doesn't change who he is but he never really got take care of after his mother learned of his disorder. He was an only child raised by a single parent in an unsafe town and to see how he is right now, a successful actor and happy brings a smile to my face.

I know he'll mean well towards the kids because I'm sure he doesn't want them growing up with one parent, he might not take on the full role of being referred to as dad but he'll still be their family.
I stare into his eyes and place a peck on his scruffy cheek. "You Mr. need a shave and I need to get ready, we have an hour and a half left. Chop chop!"
He gives a wide smile. "You better chop-chop, I'll be ready in half an hour."
"Oh, I'm going to make a bet on this shit."
"How much?"
"Oh darling, I'm not taking money. If you beat me we'll be having dinner at the restaurant where all the stuck ups dine in. But if I win, Macdonald's and Netflix is what we're calling a date. Got it?" I stick out my pinky.
He wraps his own with mine and says, "Got it," Quickly he stands up and runs to the stairs, "dips on the shower."
"Hey that's not fair, I can't run!"
He only ignores my remark and slams the bathroom door shut.
Asshole.
—————
"No fair, I was putting on my shoes!"
"Not my fault you bought the wrong pairs."
If it isn't obvious, Liam beat means now I'm dragging my lazy ass to a restaurant is not in the mood for.
"Oh come on babe, ill buy you whatever you want, even doubles."
"Promise?"
"I promise." He says as we step into the restaurant.
He turns towards the hostess and greets her. "Reservation for King, please."
She instantly realizes who he is and straightens out, smiling wider.
"Mr. King right this way please." And off we go behind her.
We are seated in a very secluded booth in the corner of the restaurant. The lights are dimly lit and the furniture was dark so the whole place is very dull and filled with chatter, which only makes me feel sleepy.
(Trinity's dress. Shout out to the mom I found on Pinterest that post a lot of amazing picture of her pregnant belly in really pretty outfits, via Cella Jane Blog. Thought I'd mention it just in case)
"You look very beautiful," Liam says as we seat ourselves into the booth.
I look down, feeling a blush erupt on my cheeks. "Thank you."
"This please looks really good."
I scoff at his words, "It so dark, now do people make their way around?"
"Its called elegance, babe."
Wow, cool.

Nathan POV
Its been 2 months since Trinity left and I feel like shit. She had the right to do it though, it knocked some sort of sense in me, reminded me that I lost not only her but my child as well, because of what? My drunk mistake.
The moment she confronted me, I couldn't tell her that I did it because I wasn't ready. I didn't even take a moment to think of what she was going through, either. She's only 20 years old and expecting a child. I always ended up putting myself before others and that habit was so wrong.
I managed to break the heart of someone I actually saw a future with, someone I hoped to give love to one day.
Love. That word. I haven't felt that emotion since my mother left me without saying a goodbye years ago.
My father then comes out of nowhere as soon as the tabloids began to exploit the breakup between Trinity and me. Whoever tipped them off though, got what they deserve. My father made me work extra hard to try to divert the attention to all the successful business deals we've been making.
Although one thing that wasn't erased from my mind was that Trinity found someone else.
Liam King to be exact, which by the way isn't a great actor what so ever.
I'm not upset she managed to find someone who was actually good for her, he will take care of her and not leave like a pussy when things started to get heated.
Although, one thing he will never get an opportunity to be is to replace my place as the father of my child. I understand that I haven't gotten into contact with Trinity about them but I wasn't ready. That is no excuse but I couldn't face the fact that really hit me in the face. Hard.
Every time I were to pick up the phone and tap on her contact number, I would quickly shove my phone deep into my pocket and ignored I ever tried.
Tonight might help me get my mind off things.
I was going on a date with a beautiful woman I came across at the liquor store last week. Her name was Rachel. She was stunning, standing at 5' 7", long, thick, brunette hair, and captivation grey eyes, with a body to die for. But she wasn't Trinity.
I only shook that thought off though, because it was time I move on as she did. It may not be out of choice but I've got to force her out of my system for now.
I'm supposed to b meeting Rachel at The West in 45 minutes and I'm dreading it. That place is so dark and boring and has no character what so ever. But Rachel said it was one of her favorites, so I sucked it up and reserved there. I would do the exact same for Trinity.
I shook my head and groaned.
Enough thinking about her, at least for tonight. Tonight its about Rachel and I, having dinner with Rachel, talking to Rachel, enjoying with Rachel. And no thinking about Trinity.
Even when I'm giving myself a pep talk her names cross my mind.
I quickly head out and ask Charlie to drive me towards the restaurant. I did offer Rachel a ride but she preferred to come alone.
Probably in case this date went to shit, she could escape. Which is smart, and if it does happen, I also have a way out.
I reach 10 minutes later and step-in telling the hostess the reservation name. She guides me straight to the table in the back.
"Would you like anything to drink as you wait, Sir?" She says, her voice low, she's either sick or trying to be somewhat seductive
"A bottle of your finest wine, please."
She nods and walks away. No later then a minute, Rachel is arriving with a large smile on her face.
"Sorry I ran a little late, my car decided to mess with me last minute."
I give her a smile. "No worries, it happens. Please take a seat, I just order a bottle of wine, while we wait for that, why don't we decide on what to eat."
She agrees and we continue on our night with small talk every now and then. It wasn't as bad as I'd thought it'll be.
—————
"Excuse me, may I please have the bill?" The waiter nods and heads to the cashier.
As I'm about to as Rachel a question, my eyes come to contact with a beautiful woman in pink. More specifically Trinity.
At that moment my heart begins to beat faster. I don't know why I'm suddenly nervous. She dressed in an elegant dress, which also peeks her little pump. Her pump, my child, our child. The thought of it inside her warms my heart. But I remember she isn't mine anymore, because she is stood right beside Liam King.
Fucking asshole.
They are guided by a waitress to their seat only a few steps from ours, she hasn't spotted me yet but I'm thankful for that. I'm in no mood to be reminded of my mistakes right now, maybe before I go to bed like I also so is a good time.
"Hey Nathan, you alright? I've been calling on you for a few minutes."
I shake my head and give her a small smile. "Nothings wrong, just a little tired from work and all."
She immediately looks behind me, I assume staring at Trinity and I believe she connects the dots.
"She's your ex-girlfriend, right? The one all over the news tabloids?"
My silence is taken as the answer.
"She's really beautiful. If you don't mind me asking, what happened between the two of you."
"I fucked up, simple as that and now she's pregnant with my child but everyone believes it's her new boyfriend's child, like what the fuck! I'll never forgive myself for cheating on her, even if I don't have a memory of the night, I know I did do something wrong and because of that I'm such a dick for doing that."
She stares at me wide-eyed, "Well shit, I wonder how she's feeling if you caused that much havoc."
I chuckle, "Sorry for the outburst, it's been held in for 2 months, I couldn't even talk to my best friend about it, he wouldn't understand."
"Talking about it is good. Especially if its to a therapist for free."
"Wait, you're a therapist?"
She nods, "Since I've been 23, now tell me, child, what's the problem?"
—————
"Thanks for listening."
"No worries, I'm here whenever but next time you will be charged."
"Well, you deserve every penny."
She cringes, "That sounds wrong."
I roll my eyes at her. "Your just dirty-minded."
Suddenly I move my eyes towards Trinity and Liam and my eyes catch the sight of the man himself on one knee.
"What the fuck," I mutter under my breathe for only Rachel to hear. She turns her head and gasps.
"Are you seeing what I'm seeing?"
Before I could reply, Liam begins to speak with a large smile on his face.
"Trinity, before you decide to kill me for proposing after knowing you for only 2 months, this a promise ring. A promise that one day this ring will be replaced with an actual engagement ring, a promise that the way I feel for you is real. I love you so much it hurts me to think of a time I am without you. And I understand this is something out of the blue, but its something that I wanted to make come true the moment we came across one another.
"I want to be there to take care of not only you but the girls as well. So will you do me the honor of accepting a portion of the large love I feel towards you?"
Trinity is silent, but a large smile overtakes her face. A smile that she once gave me. She immediately hugs him and gives him a kiss.
I quickly look away and clear my throat. I stand up from my chair and look to Rachel.
"I'm heading out, ill see you soon. Call me when you get home." With that, I rush out of the restaurant and spot Charlie and step into the car.
"Home, please."
He said, 2 girls.
Unless they're having a female puppy, my understanding is that Trinity is acting two beautiful girls inside her. My girls.
We arrive home five minutes later and I rush inside into my office.
I need to call her today, I can't keep avoiding it. Not now, though. Later on tonight. I just hope she's awake when I call.
Trinity POV
"Tonights been amazing," I tell Liam as he walks me towards my doorstep.
"It would've been better if you stayed over."
"You know how Tina can get, plus I haven't spent so much time with her since she started dating Micheal."
He nods, "I get it, she's like your sister. Family comes first, right."
"You know your family now."
He scoffs, "I didn't even get to meet your parents, Trinity. I hardly consider myself part of your family."
That gets me a little mad. "You know how my relationship with my parents are, you'll get to meet my siblings eventually, so please don't make a big deal and ruin an amazing night."
He sighs, looking at me. "Your right, I'm sorry, baby. I love you."
I hug him. "I love you more." I place a kiss on his cheek and unlock my apartment door. "I'll see you tomorrow Liam, promise."
"See you then, sleep tight beautiful." With that, I close the door.
"SHOW ME THE RING." Tina startles me, making me shriek.
"Jesus Christ, don't do that to a pregnant woman."
She ignores my protest and pulls my left hand. "It's beautiful. I still don't like him, though."
"When have you ever liked any of my dates?"
"He just screams sketchy."
I roll my eyes. "Only you. Thanks for the escape."
She shrugs, "It's my job, besides I know how much you've been missing your bed and sleeping alone."
I groan. "You don't understand. These kids are making my feat sweet up so bad and it's only the 5th month!"
"Kids? Your having TWINS! OH, MY GOD! IM GOING TO BE AN AUNTY FOR TWO ALREADY!"
I cover my ears from Tina loud screaming.
"Sorry, it's just, oh my, it's too much."
"You know what makes this even better. Their both girls!"
"More fro me and your sisters to spoil, have you told them yet?"
I shake my head. "It's been hectic. I'll just call her tomorrow. For now, though, mama is off to bed."
"Me too, Micheals been keeping me up all night this week." She winks."
I smirk, "Speak!"

Artemis
"Let them go, Dante." I whip my head to see a small boy standing the clearing with blonde hair and a green cloak hanging from shoulders. He isn't very tall however he holds his stance well. He doesn't seem to be more than Cassandra's age. Maybe 12 at most. I abruptly turn my head back hearing the man holding a sword to my throat chuckling with a sinister grin. "Oh, poor boy, what are you go to do about it?" The yellow teeth gleam as he begins stalking towards the boy who does not look the least bit fazed. I look around at the other men who are following the leader. I pull Cassandra tighter to my back as I take small steps back. I keep my eye trained on the men but also fear for the naive boy. "Do you really want to test me Dante?" He asks raising a single eyebrow. For a minute the men stop their movements. I see their hesitation for fear... Fear of what? I take the moment to stick Cassandra behind a nearby tree. She crouches down while I pull my sword out from its place. "How do you know my name?" The scoundrel raises his sword challenging towards the boy before taking a final step towards him. Then the unexpected happens. The young boy chuckles so darkly. It sounded almost... demonic. All the men instinctively raise their swords. "Oh Dante, I didn't know your name... but you know someone dear to me." "Spit it out boy!" The once grinning man is now looking around frantically. I continue my eyes scanning the small boy. He looks directly me and gives me a small nod before saying one word that caused all hell to breaks loose. "Artemis." Artemis is not an ordinary girl. She grew up in the wilderness after being shunned due to unique abilities and her different physical attributes. Blessed with an ability that scared others, she roams the wild with only her guarded one. That is until she stumbles into a situation that brings her in front of a prince.
