《Mine (LenxMiku/Lenku/MikuxLen)》11

The anticipation is killing me.
"I... thank you. I wanted to say thank you." Miku nods, smiling.
"Ah... for what?" I ask modestly, tilting my head.
"For being there for me." A tone of sincerity is clearly present in her voice.
"You're welcome," I smile, and then pause.
I stare at the orchid placed behind her ear and ask,
"I want to be able to help you. What happened? Seriously."
She freezes.
"It's none of your business. I already told you that I don't want to talk about it." She frowned. Seeing her sad made me sad. God, that was a weird thing to say.
"But I want to-"
"No, Kagamine, you listen to me," Her voice almost cracked, yet was stern and made people duck for cover.
"Don't you dare ask that question again, because it's going to be the same answer. I don't want to talk about it. For a second, I thought I could trust you. Keep the attitude up, and I won't know how to feel anymore!" She was tearing up, clearly.
A seed of guilt planted in my stomach.
"I just wanted to help." Miku chuckles.
"Help? Help? If you wanted to help me, you would've stayed quiet. You should've not said anything at all. It's better to forget the ones you love rather than crying over them day by day. Surely you don't know what that feels like."
"And another thing!" She continues, her finger lazily poking me in the chest.
"Do you know what it feels like to have every person who matters dearly to you make things worse?" Miku covers her mouth and gasps.
"I'm sorry... I didn't mean it... please don't run away from me..." Miku acts as if she's experienced with people just running from her.
Who could run away from her?

With fireworks shining in my eyes, I gripped her close.
"I would never run for you, Miku. I will promise you that."
I can see her roll her eyes and... sob? But she's smiling.
"You're so... stupid... and cliché... and.. and I-"
"And you like me. Don't you? Aren't I like a brother to you?" I see her hesitate, and I frown.
Don't I seem important to her?
"I... s-sure... Len.." She takes a breath in, and out, obviously a bit confused.
"So... are you gonna call me Len now?"
"Don't get your hopes up, Freak," She pushes my face and pouts.
I frown, slightly. At least she's back to her old self. But...
Something's not right.
This isn't right. Something feels wrong.
"Miku, if you like him, don't let him go. Promise me that, okay?"
My mother's voice echoed in my head.
I turned to face Len, who was staring out at the horizon, smiling.
His blond hair was all messed up, and his eyes were puffy.
Probably from the hot curry. Heh.
"Miku? Are you feeling alright? You look lightheaded. Do I need to take you to a hospital again?" Len's eyes sparkle from the idea, and he covers my forehead with his hands.
I feel myself get... warm.
Hm?
"I'm fine!" I say quickly, shoving his hand. I fold my arms. For some reason... I could feel cold wind blowing everywhere on my body.
Len's face grows red. What's up with him?
"Um... Miku.." He points down at me. I look down to see my yukata loosening.
I shiver, and quickly tie it back.
"P-Pervert!" I yell, though it really wasn't his fault.
"I-I'm sorry! I won't look again!" I wack him with a stick.
Is that... laughing? I hear?

"I said, I don't want to talk about it," My sister's words echoed in my brain with no end.

"I just want to help!" Bad choice, Len.
Bad choice.
After about five minutes of retorts, it surprised me to see my sister forgive him.
She's never done that. With anyone
Not even me...?
I looked at Rin and gripped her hand harder.
"W-What's gonna happen? Are they gonna grow apart from each other like in every soap opera?? Eek! My nightmares!" Rin covers her eyes with one hand, and holds mine in the other.
I laugh a bit.
"I don't think that's gonna happen." I say between chuckles.
"Oh thank god," I can feel her heart beat onto mine as she leans into my chest.
The only difference was that mine was beating harder than hers.
"Hey, Rin...?"
"Yeah?" She replied quickly.
"N-Nevermind." I wave my hand and point at the 'couple' below us.
Miku was turning around in her wheelchair, and squinting up at us.
I saw her face redden in embarrassment.
"What's wrong?" Len asked, crouching to her level.
"Nothing. Let's go. Mikuo and Rin are probably looking for us." She emphasizes our names and clenches her teeth, and then rolls down the hill.
"Uhh... okay?" He questioned, walking alongside Miku.
"Hey.. do you really want to know? Do you want to know what keeps me up at night? Only two things."
Her cheeks tint a bit at the idea of the second thought, and her eyes sadden at the first idea.
Two...? I thought it was just one...
Unless...
"We should get going," Rin says, and starts climbing down, and slips. I grab her hand to stop her from falling.
"Be careful!" I shout, frowning.
Before Len could say anything back to her, he turns around, having a perplexed expression.
I can see Miku, out of the corner of my eye, rolling away from him, (obviously on the wheelchair) seeming... nervous?
Oh my god.
Mikuo saved my life. Kinda. I'm exaggerating. But still!
He's so sweet... ahh, what am I saying...
We both fell, Len stood by us, crouched down, and blinked.
"What's up with you two... you didn't..." Len's eyes sparked.
"No way," He said afterwards, his face red.
"You didn't.. hear anything did you?"
"Well, we're not DEAF." I snapped, getting up and dusting myself off.
"It was adorable! But.. I think your princess is heading off," Mikuo purred, pointing behind him.
"S-She's not my princess! You're all delusional!" He yells again, puffing his cheeks.
"Well, she's lost." I blurted, making Len lose his shit.
Oh no. I swore.
"L-Lost?? Where?!" He turns around, sweat dripping from his face.
"I've failed you!" He puts his hands on his eyes.
"H-Hey, calm down. We'll find her eventually...." I mutter, rubbing has back as he slightly sobs.
He can be such a baby.
So much to do! So much to see! Kagamidiot and the others are gonna have to catch up with this wildcard to find me! Haha!
I decide to look at all the booths before the festival, until I heard some sobbing coming from behind a booth.
It was a food booth, and there Len was, shoving pot stickers in his mouth, crying, saying something about failure.
I could hear Mikuo and Rin's distant voices yelling my name.
When I tapped his shoulder, he nearly choked on his pot sticker.
It was as if he already knew my touch when he whispered,
"Miku?"
And looked up at me, his eyes blurry.
He grabbed my hand and tugged me down, out of my wheelchair.
He started embracing me, saying over and over,
"You had me worried sick! Please don't run off again without me, okay?"

Hermione Granger and The Boy-Who-Lived (OC!SI)
To Hermione Granger, the boy she met on the Hogwarts Express was Harry Potter, a nice, if odd, boy who's very likely going to get her killed, or worse expelled. To Harry Potter, the girl he met on the Hogwarts Express was Hermione Granger, a nice, overly rule-abiding girl who he'd considered to be one of the few (somewhat) reasonable people in an overrated book series he read.A book series that, against his will, has now become his life. You know, since I can't exactly make you.Or can't I? After all, if the story turns out to be interesting then isn't that me making you like it?Huh. Food for thought. Tale about fire
This tale starts like many others, with a slave boy that escaped and now seeks the power to never suffer in the hands of another again, with an unbalanced and cruel world where the strong rule and the weak serve, filled with natural dangers and opportunities to the ones that call themselves practitioners, the ones who seek the power of the Four. It follows as the disgusted by the world boy, resolved to change it by fire and destruction if needed find his way into the practitioners’ world in a search for true strength. Little the boy knew that his fate, or chains if you would, bounded him to so much more than just that. - I apologize in advance for any grammatical mistakes, part of why I’m writing this tale is to get better in the language. It’s also my first story so constructive criticism is appreciated.
