Guess how many more chapters are left?

Riley's PoV:

It's been five days since I reached SV. All the works here are very organized and the hierarchy of each algorithm is immaculate. I was in awe. There were twenty students and we have to work as partners. I was partnered with Austin. Oh what a irony.

We were supposed to modify the existing code which Google has and we were asked to add a new feature to it.

It is break time now. Austin was waiting for me in our lunch table.

"Hey, Austin!" I greeted him reaching the table with our fruit drinks.

"Austin!" I snapped my fingers in front his face

"Oh,hey! I didn't almost see you there" Austin replied.

"Almost" I scoffed.

"Always the sarcastic one" Austin said taking fries from my plate.

"Nuh-uh. No one can take fries from my plate" I said

"You are mean!" Austin said

I just rolled my eyes at him.

"Anyways, whatcha got you thinking?" I asked taking a sip of my drink.

"Oh, I was sightseeing" Austin said.

"Sightseeing. Hmmm. Who's that girl you were looking at?" I asked.

"More like who's the guy I was looking at." Austin said.

I was surprised.

"You didn't expect it, huh?" Austin asked me once me he saw how surprised I was.

"I mean yes. But I am not against it" I replied.

I was silent for few minutes cause I didn't know what to say.

"Anyways, who's the guy? Is he hot?" I asked him.

"Finally, you knew how to break the silence. I was like I made Riley silent. It's an achievement" Austin said laughing.

"Oh! Shut up!" I said.

"Yes, you see the brunette guy over there. I have for dips on him" He said.

I followed his eyes and saw that guy.

"Damn, he is hot alright. That jawline could cut a diamond." I said after analysing Austin's potential guy.

Austin just laughed and continued.

"I was in a relationship back home but we had to break up. It was mutual yes. But he is still my first love. It is pretty special you know" Austin said.

"Young love" I said reminiscing my mom's words about Andrew and I.

"Enough about me. Tell me about your guy" he asked.

"How would you know I am not single" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"I took a wild guess" Austin said laughing.

"Yes you took a great wild guess!" I replied

"I am in a relationship with Andrew Davila" I said.

"Oh my God. You are that Riley. You guys are cute!" Austin said gushing.

"We are official but not yet to the outside world. Calm your excitement!" I cautioned him.

"But right now it is rocky. We both are testing the still waters" I replied.

"Everything will be fine, Riley." Austin reassured me.

"Thanks, Austin" I replied him genuinely.

"Pfft. It's nothing, doll" Austin replied.

I just laughed at him.

"Shoot! I missed my potential guy!" Austin said.

"Relax we have fifteen days to find your guy!" I said.

"I think we have rest of the day off" Austin reminded me.

"Ah! Half day off on a Friday!" I said relaxing in my chair.

"Don't get so relaxing yet missy. We still have to figure out the code to modify" Austin reminded once again.

"Okay. Let's get it started!" I said.

"Hey, is it ironic how most of my friends have a name starting with letter A. Allie, Andrew, Alex, another Alex, Alan and now you! Wow" I said.

"That's one remarkable discovery!" Austin said laughing.

"I know right. I am an Einstein" I said slinging my backpack.

"Andrew is a lucky man" Austin said.

"Yeah, tell me about it" I said laughing.

"How about we make changes on the Google's homepage? We can include HTML and SAP coding?" I asked.

"That is a really good one. And also the backend of the two applications is still running in mainframe. We could automate that by Eclipse?" He asked.

"Yes! We are going to do these two changes." I said high fiving him.

We are supposed to let Mark know about

our ideas. He is like the mediator for the interns and the associates working in Google.

"Can we start after taking a break?" I asked.

"Yeah, sure. Meanwhile I got to work on my flirting skills" Austin said.

"Uh-huh. Get your man, Austin" I said

"Wish me luck, Riley!" Austin asked.

"Good luck. Go sweep him off of his feet!" I said laughing.

I reached my room and my phone lit up with the name Alex Stokes.

"Hello Alex" I spoke.

"Finally! Why aren't you replying to any of my texts..? " Alex asked me through me the phone.

"Umm. I was busy" I replied.

"Anyways, I have news!" Alex said

"What's it?" I asked curiously.

"Your favorite Alex is not so single anymore" Alex told me.

"Well, I know that. My brother is in a good relationship with Sarah" I said pulling his leg.

"Ha ha. Very funny!" Alex said

"I try" I replied

"Well, anyways I am not so single anymore. I am officially taken" Alex said.

"Aww! I am so happy for you." I replied being happy for him.

"Thanks to you!" Alex said. I can imagine him smiling.

"Well, how's he?" I asked him. What can I say My love for Drew over powered me.

"Andrew?" Alex asked me.

"Yes" I asked.

"He's infact here. Do you want to talk to him?" Alex asked me.

"No, thank you" I declined his offer.

"Riley" Alex said.

"Alex" I mimicked him.

"He loves you" Alex said.

"Uh. Okay. I will talk to you later" I said and ended the call before he could change my mind.

I know sooner or later I have to face it but right now i wasnt ready for it.

After a much needed nap, I spoke with Allie and told him about Austin. She squealed. Allie informed me about she is working on her new design. I was passing my time by scrolling on instagram.

Andrew has posted a story with the caption surrounded by shades of scarlet RED.

My breath hitched when I saw the story. I muted his DM's and then I realised he has DM'd me today.

Red, I miss you.

I am not replying him untill I get an explanation.

"Riley. Good for a coffee run?" Austin asked me.

"I hear coffee. Then, yes!" I said.

"How did it go?" I asked wiggling my eyebrows.

"A good start" Austin said smiling.

Drew❤️: where are you , Red?

Drew❤️: please talk to me.

"Austin and his boyfriend sitting on a tree." I said taking a sip of my coffee.

"Gosh. Stop it girl!" Austin said.

"My god, you are blushing!" I said teasing him.

We worked on our code for around few hours. It failed everytime. Finally, we fixed it and was able to automate one page.

"Well, that's a start!" Austin voiced my thoughts.

"See you tomorrow" Austin said.

"See you, Austin" I replied

It was a "not so bad day" for me.
