Riley's PoV:

So I am still giving silent treatment to Andrew. But I am not ready to do this over a phone, I need to do it in person. I will be back home in another three days. And I will sort everything out. Right now Austin and I are in final stages of code deployment. Everything is going good so far.

"Riley, look our code got executed successfully!" Austin said sounding excited.

"Wow! We two are one hell of a team!" I said hugging him.

"It calls for a celebration!" Austin said.

"It definitely calls for a celebration" I replied him feeling proud of ourselves

"Is it ok if Brandon comes along?" Austin asked.

"Of course, Austin!" I replied.

Brandon is his guy. Apparently, Brandon liked Austin as well. Love is in the air.

"I will be waiting outside!" Austin said.

I just nodded at him.

I was halfway down the stairs and I realised I forgot my phone. Dang it!

My phone was ringing loudly. It lit up with the name Drew. I debated whether to answer it or not.

"Hello" I spoke.

"Hello, Red!" Andrew spoke. I can hear the happiness in his voice.

His voice. I missed it.

When I didn't say anything he continued "I thought you won't answer it"

"Uh. Well, we all thought many things you wouldn't do and now here we are" I snapped.

"Okay, I deserve this!" Andrew said.

"Look, Andrew! I got to go!" I said. I didn't want to hurt him with my words.

"Okay. I love you" Andrew said

I so wanted to tell him "I love you too" but last time I said it, things didn't go well.

"Uh. See you?" I said and cut the call.

A single tear dropped from my eye.

I spotted Austin and Brandon and walked to them.

"Hey, what took you so long?" Austin asked.

"Uh, Andrew happened" I replied.

"Finally, you spoke to him" Austin said.

"Not much but yeah" I replied.

"You are one stubborn headed!" Austin said.

I just rolled my eyes at him.

Brandon is the quiet one.

We ordered our favourite drinks and foods from McDonalds.

"Stop devouring the food, dude" I told Austin

Brandon just laughed at this.

"I am growing man. I got to eat!" Austin replied

"What am I going to with you?" Brandon said shaking his head.

"Simple, do me!" Austin replied shrugging his shoulders.

Brandon choked on his drink.

"Whoa, you alright?" I asked Brandon.

"Wow. He is bold bold" Brandon replied me.

"That's Austin" I replied.

Austin just winked at him.

"But I am lucky. Maybe I will do you" Brandon replied smirking.

Now it was Austin's turn to choke.

"Oh get a room. Too much sexual tension!" I replied.

"Oh wait. I got a ship name for you both. Bustin!" I said laughing uncontrollably.

"What kind of ship name is that.?" Brandon said making a gag face.

"Austin and Brandon are bustin" Austin said with a nod of approval.

"You aren't going to get any if you keep saying that" Brandon said.

"Please as if you would be able to resist me!" Austin said laughing.

Brandon just chuckled at this.

"Come on, guys! Picture time!" I said.

I replied to the DMs and my mind drifted to Andrew. I was being very mean and cold towards him. He deserved a chance to explain.

"Yes you big meanie shit head" My inner voice said.

"I know. Please spare me!" I replied.

I don't want to get hurt again. I don't want to. But that's love. Andrew is willing to solve this. That show how much he loves me. Shouldn't I give the same effort.?I had these thoughts. I have kept all these thoughts for so long and it's time to face it.

Me to Drew❤️: love you.

Drew❤️: you don't know how happy I am right now.

Me: um. I don't know. Hahha.

I was trying to lighten with small talk.

Drew ❤️: that is my girl.

This guy has a way with the words.

Drew❤️: you deserve an explanation, Red. Decision is up to you.

Me: I can't give an answer. We will talk when I get back?

Drew❤️: okay. Good night, beautiful.

Me: ugh. You. I don't know. Good night.

The next day morning we have to present our code to the associates of Google.

Nervous would be the understatement. Our legs were trembling. We could do this.

"Come on, Austin. We got this!" I encouraged him.

"Yes We can do this!" He replied and went up to present.

After his presentation, everyone were impressed. It was a good sight to see. One by one each group presented their work. And then we were done for the day.

"I am going to miss you, Austin!" I said.

"Don't make me cry. We live pretty close. I will visit along with Brandon" Austin said.

"You will love my friends" I said.

"I should meet them and ask how they tolerate you." Austin said.

"Yeah right. Very funny. Ha ha" I replied.

We have a retreat before going back to our home. Next day morning came so soon. It's our last day here.

"Riley! Wake up wake up!" Austin said banging on my door.

"I am up. I am up! I said and opened the door.

"It's the retreat day!" Austin said beaming.

"Yes, it is!" I replied

"We are going to slay today!" Austin said.

"That my boy! We are going to!" I said getting excited as much as him.

I was ready and video called Allie.

"Yo, girl!" I said.

"Someone's looking hella good" Allie said.

"Damn, Andrew would have killed to be there" Marco said.

I laughed at this.

"What's the occasion?" Allie asked

"It's the last day here. A small retreat for all the interns" I told her.

"So you will here tomorrow?" I hear Allie asking.

"Yes" I said.

"Ah. Too bad. Marco and I are going away for the weekend" Allie said

"Oh! That's okay" I said.

"I will meet you in the mid of next week" Allie said.

"Long getaway. I see" I said.

"Mmm-hmm." Allie replied.

"Well, have fun!" I said.

"Riley!" I hear Austin calling my name.

"Hey, Austin. This is my bestfriend, Allie! And Allie, this is Austin, my other bestfriend!" I introduced them.

My two bestfriend's squealed at each other.

"And you have found your match!" I said laughing.

"Good to see you, Allie. I will meet you in person!" Austin said.

We bid our goodbyes and left for the retreat.

"Looking good, B!" I said.

"You look good as well, Riles!" Brandon said.

We had so fun at the retreat and now it was time for us to leave.

"Well, guys. Thank you for providing your assistance to Google. We appreciate it. All of you have come with a very unique idea to enhance Google. We will keep you posted. I had a good time being your mentor" Mark said.

"Thank you, Mark" We all replied in unison.

"Well, here we are" Austin said.

"Here we are. " I said hugging him and Brandon.

"I will visit you!" I said.

"Damn right!" Austin said and boarded the flight.

I called to inform my parents about my arrival time.

"Mom?" I spoke through the phone.

"Riley. Honey, when are you getting down here?" My mom asked me.

"8 PM" I replied.

"I am sorry, Riley. Your Dad and I couldn't come to pick you. Dad had to deal a case in Florida and I have a chef business in Texas." My mom said.

"Okay. I will call a cab" I replied.

"That won't be necessary! It's already arranged!" My mom.

"See you soon, Riley!" My mom said and ended the call.

This is weird.. something is not adding up.

Mom👩‍👧: And you still be staying at Stokes home. Alex is on a vacation with Sarah as well.

I mentally groaned.

Me: mom, no. How are you ok with me staying with three boys?

Mom👩‍👧: cause I trust them. Now I will talk to you later

Andrew's PoV:

Finally I sorted the Madison problem and now I am on my way to win my girl back.

I had an idea. I spoke with Riley's parents and Allie and told them that I would pick her up from the airport.

"And also would you guys pretend to stay out of the town.? I don't want to get her suspicious" I asked them.

"No funny business alright!" Riley's brother Alex informed me.

"I just want to explain her and hopefully she changes her mind" I told him sincerely.

Cause that is all I want..I don't want nothing more to hold her. She gave me her heart and I broke it in seconds.

"I trust you" I hear Alex telling.

"Fine. I will help you" Allie told.

"Thank you!" I said

Now I am waiting in the airport for her. She saw me and gave a surprised look.

"Andrew?" I hear her call me.

"Yes, shall we go?" I asked.

"Um. Before that, can we get a coffee?" She asked me.

My girl and coffee. I smiled and said "Yes"

After our pit stop for coffee, now we are on the way to home. Stokes home.

I wanted to hold her in my arms. Kiss her till she's out of breath. I am being this close to her after a month literally.

I opened the door for her.

"Princess, lead the way" I said.

She just rolled her eyes at me.

She's worth it.
