Silver's POV

"Mommy!" my son Aiddan yelled running from the living room with a smiling Ashton on his heels. "Mommy's home!

"Hey baby! How's Mommy's little man doing?" I asked to pick him up as he hugged my legs.

Aiddan giggled as he kissed my cheek. "Home!"

Home. The Disney movie. It was absolutely Aiddan's favorite movie so far. He was constantly watching it. But I didn't mind. It was so cute how he could mouth along with the words.

Aiddan was almost three years old. I had conceived him when I had a one night stand with some man after I found out that my ex-fiancé Mark had ditched me for another woman. A few weeks after that night I had started feeling funny and throwing up constantly. I had later found out that I was pregnant with Aiddan. Ashton had been with me throughout the whole ordeal. My parents didn't mind that I had gotten pregnant. They just didn't approve that I didn't know who Aiddan's father was. Which is technically true. I mean I knew what he looked like and I knew where he lived. I just never wanted to find out who he actually was.

Why? Because even though Aiddan is his son I just didn't want Aiddan to go through any rejection that might ensure. I mean that dude was loaded. Which meant that he probably had a wife or didn't want a child at all. That didn't mean that I didn't want Aiddan to have a father because I did. I just didn't want him to get too attached to some man that will only walk out on him as soon as he gets comfortable with him.

Anyways, it is now two years since he was born and he has grown so much he had dark brown hair that stuck up all over the place. He had bright blue eyes that looked exactly like his father's. Chubby cheeks that made him look so adorable. Especially when he pouted.

"Alright. Go watch your movie some more honey." I kiss his cheek and put him on the floor ushering him towards the living room. "Mommy and Uncle Ash have something we need to talk about."

As Aiddan ran into the living room I turned to Ashton and chuckled.

"What do you want to talk about?" Ashton asked curiously, heading to the fridge and grabbing some chips from the top of it.

"This." I state as I push a small stack of paper towards him from my purse.

"What is this?" he questioned, confused as he grabbed the paper and looked at it.

"A job application." I replied looking for his reaction.

"You mean?" he whispered, shocked. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah. I need to do this." I chuckle lightly. "Aiddan and I can't keep living off of you and our parents. I need to get a job so I can provide for him."

"Okay." he nodded his head looking at me with understanding eyes.

"Thank you." I say while wiping away a few stray tears.

I need to do this. Not for me, but for Aiddan. He deserved so much more than what I could provide for him. So I need to get a good job. How better then to do that then by doing what I'm qualified for?

Ethan's POV

Looking over the applications I start to grow tired. That was until one certain Resume caught my eye.

The women looked familiar. I thought as I looked through her file.

She also had some flawless references. And more than enough qualifications to be my personal assistant.

Looking at her Resume closer I frowned. Why would she want to be a Secretary if she could take over my job if she wanted? Or at least get higher up in the company then a Secretary. Because she can't exactly take my job over since I'm both boss and owner of Winthrope Incorporation. Anyways, as I looked at the application I called up the number listed as hers.

"Hello?" a tentative voice asked into the phone.

"Hello. Is this Ms. Silver McMalorey?" I asked curiously, sounding completely professional.

"Yes, this is. Who might you be?" She questioned, sounding a little nervous.

"I am with Winthrope Incorporation." I rushed, not wanting to say my name lest she know it. "We were wondering if you would come for an interview tomorrow around two o'clock?"

"Yes." she exclaimed, sounding happy. Coughing she returns to a more subdued tone. "That would be great."

"Okay, thank you for your time. I shall see you then." I hung up before she could question why I had said "I".

Staring out the window I get a weird feeling in my stomach. I don't know why but I had a feeling that this Silver McMalorey was about to turn my world upside down. I didn't know if that was a good thing or not.
