《Silver》5

Silver's POV
Nervously I wiped my hands on my black knee length pencil skirt and adjusted my white dress coat. After swiping my hair to be behind me I step off the elevator. Walking towards the receptionist's desk I smile at the lady who sat behind the desk.
She had on a beautiful green suit that was tailored to fit her perfectly. Her graying hair was pulled into a tight bun and she had on light makeup that went perfectly with her completion. As I approached she looked up and smiled warmly.
"What can I do for you, honey?" She asked gently.
"I am here for an interview with Mr. Winthrope." I reply looking at her and smiling.
"What time are you scheduled for?" she demanded clicking around on her computer looking through something. Probably Mr. Winthrope's time schedule.
"Two O'clock." I started looking around at the room. It looked super fancy. It had a modern technology look to it. Kind of like a room made of glass and a little bit of metal while everything had a teleological twist to it. There was a waiting room area with a flat screen T.V. that filled one side of the wall.
"Mkay." She mumbles as she slowly grabs the phone beside her and presses a few buttons.
"Mr. Wintrope, Ms. McMalorey is here."
After a few more minutes and listening to her say "Yes," "Okay," and "Alright sir's" she finally hung up the phone and looked back at me.
"He will see you in his office now." She said and pointed down the hallway to the left of her desk. "If you take that hallway and take a right you should see a door with his name on it. You can't miss it."

"Thank you." I say waving at her as I follow her direction.
As I'm walking away I thought I heard her say something along the lines of "Good luck". Frowning in confusion I shake it off and continue down the hall.
Ethan's POV
After I told Sarah, my receptionist, to let Silver in, I turned around in my chair and looked out the window as I waited for her. A few minutes go by and then I finally hear a knock on the door.
"Come in." I call out as I return to my chair to the front of my desk and watch as she enters the room.
Oh my god. I gasp silently looking at her. She was gorgeous. With rich, black hair flowing in a river of silkiness down her back and gently caressed her waist. Bright, blue eyes that were framed with thick eyelashes. She had on neutral makeup that only enhanced her heavenly glowing. She had on a well-tailored women's suit that hugged her curves gently, just enough as to highlight them and tease the eye. I had to admit she looked familiar for some reason, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
"You're hired." I state simply and laugh as she widens her eyes in shock.
"Wait what?" she demanded softly, sounding almost breathless.
"I said you're hired mio caro (my darling). As my personal assistant." I repeat grinning at the confusion written on her face.
"What? Why? How?" she demanded, looking as if someone had just lied to her.

They never called, yet he is here (censored edition)
Introduction:Not every world needs a Summoned Hero, even if it is possible to summon one. No, really! Everywhere, no matter the time, there are always good people who can use glory, power and personal harem themselves. And the one who was summoned? He is just a resource, nothing more… Translation of the original novel by Avada KadavraThe uncensored version is available here.Authors notes:This is just my take on the whole Hero Summoning thing, where a hero happened to survive.Fatal mistake, an error in a well-oiled mechanism that lasted for generations, gave a Hero a tiny chance to decide his own fate. After all, bad guys never expect a Hero to come, yet, the fucker still does.Partially inspired by the series “You summoned the wrong one” by Aitbaev T.A. who was in turn inspired by “Rise of the Shield Hero”.I have to warn you, Aibaev’s work of fiction is pretty out of ordinary, it makes one breath fire, cry until tears turn to blood and laugh to unconsciousness in equal measure.

The Light in Death
Set in a modern city where Jesse Gil narrates his experience running a business capitalizing on his ability to heal any affliction — even death. He's forced to take on a student, Shawn Ellison, a spoiled college dropout who awakens abilities of his own, to prevent him from accidentally killing himself. As a result, Jesse must become more than just a healer. He'll need to master his power over energy: the fuel for life, the soul, and magic. I'm uploading the initial draft of each chapter so people can follow along with the story as I complete the manuscript. I'm hoping to gather interest, and potentially attract an editor. After going back to revise and edit; I will self-publish it.
