He gave a quite laugh and said, "A few you say?". He shook his head, "I will answer as many as I can,"

I looked to him expectantly. He sighed "1 I am an Elemental," seeing my confusion he continued , " It means, put simply, I can create and control the four elements. Fire is my strongest element but I still am well practise in water, in all its states, air and earth, "

"In answer to your second question, all the lords were summoned here by magic. It was either come here immediately or your court would be destroyed and all your people would be murdered. So of course we all showed up and now we are stuck here, at least for now. Your third question is quite sensitive to Arramen. His soul mate loved me and not him,"

" What's a soul mate? " I interrupted Eragon before he could continue.

"Soul mates are when two elves souls are a perfect match. When they have a connection that is so strong it becomes a physical thing. Soul mates can communicate through their bond and can feel what the other person feels. The bond be comes more a tune to its other half the more time the two souls spend together. You only have one soul mate, some elves never meet their soul mate and if your someone's soul mate it doesn't necessarily mean you have any feelings towards them,"

As he explained what soul mates were his eyes connected with mine and I saw that there was something secretive and alluring in them making me never want to look away.

"Going back to you original questions," Eragon said, breaking the eye contact. "I don't know what you can do exactly but I could feel it at The Fire Festival because you did not shield it from me. If you do not learn to shield it then other elves can draw upon it and use it without using their own strength. You would feel the effects of using magic but not actually use any. I could teach you to shield of you like. But I cannot right now since Cassandra has blocked most of our power and strength. She has only left us lords with very little and I can guarantee she has done the same to you,"

" And my last question? "

"I'm not going to answer your question on feelings," then his voice dropped so low I barely caught the words, "Not until I have enough courage," Going back to his normal smooth voice, " But you are right Cassandra is the her. It's just when she put the curse on Arramen no-one was able to tell anyone about it or her. I never understood her logic because she is so vain why would she not want people saying her name, "

"But you can say it now" I pointed out.

" Yes, because we are captives and she is already 200. We ran out of time, "

Suddenly we heard footsteps coming. I practically shoved Eragon out the cell and told him to lock it and hide. With a pained expression he did and disappeared from sight.

The centaur can to the bars of my cell and said, "I heard voices," he scanned my cell then with a huff said, " You are required to start your first house hold task. You have to clean a stone floor, " He opened my cell door and grabbed me.

My bones were aching after scrubbing the floor for hours. The thing is the centaur failed to mention about the floor was that it wasn't just a stone floor but an enchanted one that once it is almost clean would go back to being muddy and dirty again. It was so frustrating! I only had ten minutes left until Big Ugly or B.G came back (It was the name I had given the centaur). I considered crying in anger because I probably had enough tears to clean the whole floor at least then times. In despair I threw myself on the stupid floor and watched the floor become dirty again.

Around seven minutes later I heard the sound of hooves coming towards me. I sat up in fear, B.G wasn't support to be back for at least three more minutes according to my calculations. As I started to panic, five water horses came around the corner. I almost laughed. They clipped forward and I stood. The first one bent its head to me and dissolved clearing some of the floor. The other three did the same thing but the last one, the smallest, muzzled me, I put my hand up and stroked it. It felt very strange, it was smooth but felt not quite completely solid but my hand did not go through it so it must not have been completely liquid either. Suddenly the horse dissolved cleaning the last bit of the floor, just as Big Ugly came around the corner. He scowled at me and marched forward, grabbing tightly enough to bruise he dragged me back to my cell.

I smiled and that night I dreamed about water horses and violet eyes.

The next morning, I was awoken but keys being jammed into the lock. Big Ugly strolled in, "Get up. Your second task is in an hour and you have to eat. The Cage is a long walk away," With that he dumped down a tray of food, which I quickly ate, then followed him out the cell.

We arrived at The Cage. It was a massive cage with bars as thick as one of Big Ugly's legs and it had other bits of metal woven between them. I was dumped in a heap in the middle of the floor and I looked to Cassandra. "So here we are again," she said " Any last words...No? " I figured it was best not to answer. She had the audacity to disappointed, "Oh well, begin" She said waving her hand in a shooing motion.

There was a loud crash and crunch behind me and I spun around to see a car sized golden bull rushing towards me. My eyes widened in fear and I froze. The temporary paralysis only slowed me to watch and the bull came closer. 20 meters, 10 meters, 5 meters.

"RUN LUNA!" A voice shouted, it was filled with so much panic and fear that I snapped out of my frozen state and ran to the other side of the cage. The bulls horns crashed into the metal bars so violently the whole structure shook and the clang made me cover my ears. The bull turned its red eyes to me and charged again. Then a sudden thought hit me: the bull can't turn very quickly so if I linger long enough then suddenly move it will crash into the walls.

So I waited for the bull to get close before running out the way. Just as I suspected the bull ran into a wall again. I did this a few more times desperately trying to come up with a plan. Not thinking on where I was going, I made the mistake of running into a corner.

The bull was coming straight for me and I had nowhere to go. I frantically looked around but there was no way to stop the inevitable. All of a sudden, I got a tingling sensation, the same as the two times I was attacked in the forrest at the summer court, except this was much stronger. Acting on instinct I let the feeling consume me. I closed my eyes and heard gasps from the spectators. I opened my eyes, I was close to the floor but I still felt like I was standing up.

Looking at the bull I saw it slowly backing away. A once ferocious bull was backing up like it was scared. I found the thought quite hilarious. Feeling no fear just anger I instinctively snarled at it and the sound that came out of me sounded like an animals growl.

The bull started to shake, it shook so much it crumbled to dust. Ignoring it I went to walk to the exit but I tripped. I rolled over and cried in surprise, only it wasn't a cry but more like a bark from a dog. I looked at my legs and instead of normal legs I dog like legs, four of them to be exact. Rolling back into my feet or should I say paws. I turned my head sharply and saw I had a grey back and tale. Then it dawned on me. I had turned into a wolf!

My howl morphed into a scream as I grew taller.

When I was done growing. I was standing in The Cage fully dressed looking back at the shocked faces of the lords and other spectators. Cassandra was the first to recover and shrieked, "GET HER BACK TO HER CELL! NOW!" B.G surged forward to do as she ordered.

A few moments after B.G left Eragon appeared trimmings a cat, "Now we know what your power is. You're a shape shifter," he said cheerfully. He produced his key and let himself in. He frowned when he saw my face. "What's wrong?"

I looked at him with tears welling in my eyes. "It's just......I don't know" I sighed "You have come to my cell a few times now to keep me company or to help. And I also know you were the one to send the water horses. How much trouble did you get in for that little stunt? You answered lots of my questions and you have me food and water to drink. You also brought the bucket to get rid of the mud and other stuff after the first task. You shouted at me to run when the bull attacked which snapped me out of my stupid paralysis," I looked him dead in the eye. " And I also know that you sent the music and warm breeze. But the reason I can here is to help Arramen. And he doesn't even come to see me once! " Tears were flooding down my face at this point.

Eragon weighted until my melt down had finished and I was more calm. He sat next to me. "Everyone needs help sometimes, even head strong women like you. And I'm sure Arramen has his reasons for not being here," We both knew he was lying to make me feel better.

Tiredness hit me like a train. I tried to force my eyes to stay open but Eragon shook his head, "You need to sleep. You have used magic for the first time and must be exhausted,"

I didn't take much convincing.
