《Empty Halls|| No Bullying Campaign✔️》15//Barry

Skye's parents left the bland hospital room to get lunch about five minutes ago. My parents haven't come here yet; Skye's parents have been keeping me in check. They are handling this pretty well, all things considered.
Autumn bursts into the room, sobbing her eyes out. Her pale face is red and puffy. Corey rushes in behind her and seats her in a chair next to mine.
"What happened?" My concern is sincere. I have a slight panic that it has something to do with Fia. She has been in critical condition all day.
"Fia woke up," Corey says fighting tears. I breath a sigh of relief. That's a good thing right? Instead of twenty eight casualties there was only twenty seven.
I mentally punch myself for thinking something like that. Just because Fia, a good friend, didn't die doesn't meant that the others don't matter. Of course they do.
"That's great," I say half excited. As much as I am thrilled about the awakening of my best friend Fia, I am still upset about Skye.
"It's not great, Barry. She doesn't remember anyone! Not even her own mother," screams Autumn.
"What," I ask.
"Autumn calm down," says Corey soothingly. "The doctors said that her memory loss is probably temporary."
"Wait, I'm confused. What happened?"
"Fia's brain went without oxygen for a long time and now she can't remember people. But it's only temporary," Corey explains.
I'm about to say something when I see movement out of the corner of my eye. My head moves in Skye's direction to see her glassy eyes open.
"Skye?"
Autumn, Corey, and I all run to her bedside. She blinks a few times before her eyes focus on me.
"Hey," she croaks. Her voice sounds like she is gargling nails but it is still the most beautiful voice in the world.

"Hey," I whisper, a tear sliding down my cheek.
"B-"
"What?" She seems to be struggling to speak. I take her hand in mine.
"Bare," she chokes out. "I love you so much."
A smile spreads across her face and a tear falls from her crystal eye. I laugh and kiss her forehead.
"I love you too, Skye."
Her cold hand goes limp and her eyes become like foggy glass. My whole body breaks into a million pieces and it feels like all of the air got sucked out of the room.
"Skye?"
