My breathing is shaky and my eyes are burning with tears. It's been fourty minutes since the first few shots rang out, yet I am terrified to move.
This is it, I think. This is when I die.
I'm sitting in the dirty supply closet sobbing. The thought of dying without telling all of the people that I love goodbye, kills me.
I take out my phone and open the camera app. Wiping away my salt rimmed eyes with my neon orange sweater, I press record.
"M-my name is Fia Gace," I whisper in between sobs. "There is a shooter on campus, and- and I don't think I have much time left."
I point the camera towards the bullet wound in my stomach. It's bleeding profusely and hurts like hell. I struggle to breathe as I recall the events that occurred starting at 8:26.
