Jeongyeon strongly believes that Mina has a crush on Chaeyoung.

Why?

Because Jeongyeon lowkey likes Mina now, so she's curious about her and everything.

She's still hoping that they'll get closer to each others again.

But.

Jeongyeon doesn't really know what Mina's likes or dislikes, what her hobbies are, etc.

She went down to the field and saw Mina's 'crush'.

"Oh! Jeongyeon! You're here!" The coach greeted her as she walked towards them.

"Yeah. I'm a bit early? I guess?" Jeongyeon brushed off the awkwardness.

"Jeongyeon, meet Chaeyoung. She's one of the youngest runner this year."

"Hi, Chaeyoung." Jeongyeon offered her hand.

"Hello— sunbaenim." Chaeyoung took the older's hand and shook it.

"Go ahead and practice now, I'd like to watch you here." Jeongyeon said as she flashed a genuine smile to the younger.

"Sure— sunbaenim." Chaeyoung said as she bowed.

"So Jeongyeon, watch for Chaeyoung now okay? I'll be back later."

"Sure thing coach."

The coach left the two, Jeongyeon slowly felt the awkwardness between them but she's the one who always interrupts it. She's trying to be friends with Chaeyoung.

"So you are freshmen?" Jeongyeon asked.

"Yes, sunbaenim."

"Chaeyoung? Please drop the honorifics. C'mon we're just normal students here."

"But you are better than me."

"That's not about it, Chaeng. It's about how you value the person."

"Oh..."

"Now, continue stretching and start the first lap."

Chaeyoung nodded.

Few runs later, Chaeyoung stopped to take a rest. Jeongyeon took the opportunity to ask Chaeyoung about Mina.

"I saw you and Mina earlier if I haven't been mistaken."

"Oh haha, we rode on the same bus earlier."

"Oh.. okay.."

"Why though?" Chaeyoung asked.

"Nothing. Just asking ya know?" Jeongyeon shrugs.

"Mina told me you two were bestfriends a while ago."

"Oh, is that so?"

Jeongyeon felt happy for some reason. She was happy because Mina still cares about her. After Chaeyoung's water break, she proceeded to run 'till the last lap.

"Well done, Chaeng." Jeongyeon clapped.

"Thank you, Jeongyeon-unnie." Chaeyoung smiled.

"I'll see you around then. Take care!" Jeongyeon said after poking Chaeyoung's dimples. / uWu /

"I'll see you around too!!" Chaeyoung waved.

"Aishhh I'm planning to hate this kid but I ended up liking her." Jeongyeon said while face palming.

Chaeyoung just stood up and watched the older one.

"I hope we'll be bestfriends soon!" Chaeyoung said to herself.

While fixing her things, Chaeyoung's phone suddenly rang. She took it out and opened it.

"But I'm always in for Mina more." Chaeyoung mumbled to herself.
