Paul pov

"P - paul?" I heard her shaky voice say as she saw me. She sounded scared and it hurt, it hurt to know I had caused that. I glanced over, she was still on the ground shaking.

"Y/n! What are you doing out here?" I asked seemingly surprised she was out here. I walked over and kneeled beside her shaking body.

"I- i saw s-something and, and then there was this girl and this wolf and..." she trailed off as she looked over at me her eyes brimming with tears.

"I thought it was going to kill me." She said shaking as tears streamed down her beautiful dirt covered face. My heart broke, I wanted to tell her, tell her everything I wanted her to know I would always protect her that it was me and she had been safe, but I couldn't not yet. So I sat there as she wrapped her arms around me and hugged me. I hugged her back as she shook violently in my arms, silent tears streaming down her face and hitting my bare shoulders.

Y/n POV

I laid there in his arms. He was warm and comforting. I thought I was going to die and if he hadn't showed up I would still be sitting shocked on the dirty floor of the forest. His hard chest against mine made me feel safe as he held me in his strong arms. He was sitting beside me while I was on my knees with my arms wrapped around his broad shoulders.

I had only just met him but he seemed special, kind, like he's reliable. And here I was embarrassing myself by sobbing like a child. I used one of the sleeves from his jacket to wipe the tears from my eyes then placed my hands on his chest and slightly pulled back, his arms moved until they were loosely draped around my waist. His eyes shinning again in the moonlight as he looked at me with concern plastered on his features.

"I'm sorry, I'm over reacting." I said looking down at my hands that rested on his toned pecks. I couldn't help it as one of my hands trailed down his well toned abs a small blush reaching my checks as I realized what I had down. He let go of my waist and I felt an instant sadness at the lose of contact until I felt his hand on my chin gently bringing my face up so our eyes met again.

"You don't ever have to apologize for expressing your feelings." He whispered softly as if I was a broken bird and any loud noises would wound me. And he was right but his words hit harder as more tears began to fall from my eyes. He tentatively dragged his thumb under my eye, catching a tear. His face looked pained as he looked at me, it was like he could feel my fright.

"T-thank you." I chocked out, I tried to get up as Paul did but my ankle was stinging and I couldn't place all my weight on it, as I stumbled Paul grabbed my waist and helped steady me. I tried to put weight on my ankle again only for it to zap pain into my brain as I let out a small hiss.
