Last chapter:

"T-thank you." I chocked out, I tried to get up as Paul did but my ankle was stinging and I couldn't place all my weight on it, as I stumbled Paul grabbed my waist and helped steady me. I tried to put weight on my ankle again only for it to zap pain into my brain as I let out a small hiss.

Y/n POV

"I'll carry you" Paul said while his hands still rested on my hips.

"I've got it." I insisted, I've already bugged him to much. I tried to step again and again he caught me.

"We won't get anywhere like this. Come on." Paul said before picking me up in bridal style and starting to walk into the woods. My face was burning almost as hot as he was, er I mean as hot as the temperature his body was emitting.

"How are you so hot?" I asked subconsciously. What the literal fuck brain! It's official I'm an idiot. I felt his chest rumble as he laughed at me. My face must have looked like a tomato at this point.

"I don't know I was just born this way." He said as he let out another laugh. Embarrassed I fumbled with the sleeves of his jacket. Noticing a small hole in the stitching that must have happened when I fell.

"Hey Paul?" I asked tentatively afraid of his reaction. I mean he just lent this jacket to me and I already fucked it up. He must have heard the scared in my voice cause he stopped and looked down into my eyes.

"Yeah, doll?" He asked concerned. I lifted up the sleeve.

"I think I broke your jacket." I said sadly pointing at the small hole and he laughed. He continued walking again.

"Don't worry about it." He said smiling as he walked. I felt dumb thinking it was a big deal. We walked for a while like this and I didn't seem to wear Paul down at all but I didn't want to make him carry me any longer.

"Think I can walk now, you can put me down if you want." I said but he just kept walking as if he hadn't heard me. I sighed, sometimes I speak and it's quite when I think it's regular volume so I spoke up again.

"Paul?"

"Hm?" He said continuing to walk.

"I said you could put me down."

"You said if I wanted to. And I don't." He said continuing to walk. My face gaining back it's flustered appearance.

"Okay." I agreed and he seemed to smile at this. We reached the edge of the forest but the house before us was unfamiliar.

"Where are we?" I asked as he carried me towards this house.

"My house. I'm going to patch you up and then take you home." He said, we reached the front porch and he placed me on a chair out front before unlocking the door. He turned to pick me up but instead I got up and shakily walked over to him, my ankle feeling slightly better. I grabbed his muscular arm to steady myself and he led me inside.
