《Paul Lahote x Reader》Goodnight, y/n

Last chapter: Ready to go?" Paul asked walking over to me. Holding the keys out to show that we were taking the Jeep.
"Yep." I said as we walked over to it.
Y/n POV
The ride started out awkward, getting into the vehicle seemed to be a challenge for my smaller stature as I struggled to figure out exactly how I could get into the monstrous Jeep. Staring at it I felt to hands grab my waist I jumped in surprise as it pulled me out of my thoughts, over my shoulder I saw Paul's face.
"Here let me help you." He said with a chuckle obviously finding my small state amusing. I nodded and the next thing I knew my feet were off the ground and I was placed in the seat. Wtf. He did that with no problem.
"And you guys say you don't do steroids." I said arching an eyebrow accusingly while starring at him.
"What do you mean?" He asked confused.
"I mean you just lifted me like I was a doll." I said laughing at the fact that he litterally was so jacked without explanation. He seemed pleased with the fact that I was calling him strong so he smiled at me.
"Well you're just light, doll." He emphasized the last word with a wink obviously earning a blush from me. He chuckled at this before closing my door and hoping easily into the drivers seat. Turning on the car he began to drive off, he seemed to be driving very cautiously and there was an awkward silence between us. I brushed it off as nothing and pressed the radio on hoping to break the silence and it did just that as it blared music. I jumped in my seat quickly adjusting the blaring volume to a better one. I looked over at Paul who had a strained look on his face like the musics volume had slapped him in the face.

"Sorry. I didn't know the music was going to be blasting." I said apologizing, he looked over at me and smiled.
"Don't worry about it. It's that idiot Jared's fault not yours." He said with a smile. Then we went back to silence and boy was it unbearable even with the music.
"So... where do you guys work?" I asked nonchalantly trying to break the silence, Paul's shoulders went rigid for a second before he answered.
"We work for this guy named Sam, you'll probably meet him soon. We do a lot of labor jobs and what not." He said shrugging off his once harsh structure.
"Makes sense." I mumbled to myself. Then the silence continued. Until we made it back to Billy's. As Paul put the car into park he got out coming to my side, opening my door. He placed his hands on my hips again and helped lift me out of the car. But of course me being me u slipped as my feet hit the gravel and I fell into his warm, well built chest a blush quickly covering my face.
"I'm so clumsy. My bad." I said looking at the ground before shooting a smile up at him.
"I don't mind." He said staring into my eyes. The light from inside the car lit up his eyes, illuminating sparks of gold and chocolate browns in them. His eyes were beautiful and captivating. Whoever said brown eyes are ugly have clearly never gazed at his. I snapped out of it.
"Um, thanks again." I said taking a step back from him and bumping into the jeep. God! Get it together y/n! I mentally scolded.
"Any time." He said smiling at my flustered state before stepping aside to let me pass. I took a few steps before realizing I still had on his jacket so I turned toward him.

"I almost forgot your jacket." I said giggling at my forgetfulness as I reached down to lift it up the cold wind instantly leaving goosebumps on my exposed stomach.
"It's fine, keep it for now." He said smiling at me. "It looks better on you anyways." He finished. God damn butterflies!
"Thanks. Goodnight." I shot him a smile before turning to walk up the steps of the front porch.
"Goodnight, y/n." Paul said before I heard the engine turn over and I reached the inside of the house. What was all that? I mentally scolded myself again. Freaking embarrassing!
