"Tate wake up"
Violet said shaking him with a smile
"Whaaat" he said tiredly
"3 months till halloween"
He sat up straight away and went to yell in excitement
"Shh don't yell remember"
Tate nodded quietly
Violet is still on and off but she is being nicer than before... they sleep in the same bed but every now and then they won't
"Also... mum said to say she has forgiven you.... but its going to take a long time for dad to forgive you..."
Tate smirked
"What about you?" He asked
Her smile faded slightly
"I don't know... you'll have to find out on halloween"
He nodded as he got up walking over to the chalk board
Tate rubbed the plans out
"Why did you do that?" Violet asked
"I want to write it neater and add stuff"
Violet nodded
He wrote Halloween
He then turned to Violet waiting for her to say what to write
"Okay so, go to the beach, steal a puppy and cat and kill larry"
Tate finished the y on larry
"We aren't doing it here though" violet nodded
"Of course but we do have to make him suffer"
Tate smiled
"How shall we do it"
Violet thought for a bit
"Would it hurt if we glued his dick to his leg?"
Tate looked at her and laughed
"Probably"
Then she got an idea
"While he is alive, we will cut off his dick and sew it to his head, then we tie him to a tree and while he is up there, on the wound we can pour alcohol on it and set it on fire, we could also cut his tongue out and let Thaddeus at him"
Tate looked at her surprised
"Woah... i thought i was sick..."
She laughed
"Don't you like that idea"
He shook his head
"It's brilliant" he whispered
"I feel like Thaddeus will like the idea too"
Violet said
Tate nodded vigorously
"Lets go tell him" Tate said
"Race ya" Violet said running out the door
"HEY THATS CHEATING!" Tate yelled running after her
Ben and Violet were in the kitchen with Moira
"Don't break anything!" Moira yelled
Ben sighed
"Look hun, you can't hate him forever, we have to live with him for all eternity" Vivian said holding Ben's face, she tapped one of his cheeks
"Come on, go talk to Constance and plan your psychology job" she said walking away

Tales from the Triverse is part detective drama, part fantasy adventure and part space opera. I’m influenced by the likes of Iain M Banks, Isaac Asimov and ND Stevenson and work including The Wire and Gotham Central. It begins with an incident two hundred years ago which crashed three parallel universes together. Portals open up in 18th century London, sending England down a very different path. We pick up events in the 1970s, with the Metropolitan Police having established a new department to handle portal-related criminal activity. The story is about intolerance, immigration, multiculturalism and power. It’s about what happens when incompatible viewpoints are weaponised to seed discontent, and the efforts of some to create a fairer world. In the tradition of the best science fiction, fantasy and crime fiction, I’m using the setting to examine themes that matter to me in the real world. Who is it for?If you like science fiction or fantasy, or a mix of both, this is for you. It’s my first foray into crime fiction, but I hope if you’re a fan that you’ll enjoy yourself - especially if you’re looking for something a bit different. I write fiction that is optimistic, progressive and empathetic. Bad things can happen to good people in the stories, but the overall arc tends to be hopeful. Note that if it were a movie, Tales from the Triverse would be a 15 certificate in the UK.
