《Senior Year》The First Day
Advertisement
After driving home from the airport, you couldn't stop thinking about everything that happened over the summer. When you got home, you packed your school stuff in your backpack, took a shower, and watched Netflix.
During dinner, you were quiet because this is the last few hours of summer vacation. You didn't want this to end, but it has to so you can get to the Scorch Trials premiere, dances, senior privileges, graduation, then filming the Death Cure.
While watching your favorite show on Netflix, you heard your phone go off next to you. It was texts from Dylan, Thomas, Ki Hong, and Dexter. They all made it safely to their destinations. Dylan, Ki Hong, and Dexter went back to California, while Thomas went back to London. You texted them for a little bit before continuing your show.
After watching two episodes, you decided to make some popcorn. You finished the second half of the bag when it was time for bed. You brushed your teeth and picked out an outfit for tomorrow. You said good night to your parents and texted the cast good night, time difference didn't matter. You set an alarm for 6:30am and fell asleep.
Memories of summer were playing in your mind while you slept. That made it almost impossible to fall asleep. Eventually, you fell into a deep sleep.
Theatre camp, movie auditions, meeting new friends, eating home cooked meals, traveling, finally found a boyfriend, and filming the Scorch Trials.
It's all coming to an end....
You woken up by your alarm. You groaned as you sat up in your bed.
'This is it. Summer is really over and senior year is about to begin.' you thought.
You turned on your TV for light. You went into the kitchen to fix some cereal. It looked like the sun was about to come up. You got your cereal and ate breakfast in bed. Your mom came in for her morning love.

"Good morning. How's my high school senior?" she asked.
"Tired." you said.
She gave you a smile and let you finish eating your breakfast.
After eating, you put your bowl in the sink. You went to the bathroom to do your morning routine. After getting ready, you got dressed. Your mom had to take some first day of school pictures, as usual.
After she took the pictures, she had to leave for work. You still had a little time before you had to leave. You turned your phone off of airplane mode. Your phone blew up with texts from your family and the cast. You answered to all of them, then realized it was time to go.
You grabbed your backpack, lunchbox, and car keys. You walked to your car and got in. You put your things in the back and started the car. You turned up the radio and put on your sunglasses.
"Here goes nothing." you said to yourself.
You drove out of your driveway and made your way to school. You were getting anxious as you drove closer. You parked your car in your designated spot in the senior parking lot. You got out of your car and stared at the school.
'This is really happening. Senior year is here.' you thought.
You got your stuff out from the backseat and locked your car. You walked through the door and entered your school. It felt good to be back because your school is like a second home to you. You texted Kendra and Gwen in the group message to figure out where to meet up before class started.

Shade: A Story of the Legacy
Save those you can. Avenge those you can't. In a world where friends are a liability, Night Riders like Shade have none. Riding alone keeps him alive and lets him help those who have no one else. But when a man who was once his friend—and knows the identity he cannot share with the world—chances upon him, Shade makes the mistake of making the smallest personal connection. But friendship can be a double-edged sword, and darkness haunts Shade's steps. Both are outlaws, hunted by those who conquered their nation. Capture means a slow and painful death; living means fighting a guerilla war against overwhelming odds. Shade has never believed in no-win situations, but even the most dangerous man in Evendar can only fight so many battles. Will this be his last? Set in the world of the Legacy, SHADE is a prequel to NIGHT RIDER, available on Kindle Vella.

Join Rory on what could have been. Taken tragically from life by sudden infant death syndrome. Join in the reimagining of what his life could have been... With a system forced reset of human civilisation thrown in for good measure. One minute Rory was a college student struggling under pressure, the next he and the entire world find themselves at the mercy of the System. Its sick sense of humour results in Rory and hundreds of others going through the tutorial from hell. Monsters straight out of myth become reality, forcing Rory and the unlucky group to fight if they are to have any chance of survival. Those that overcome the tutorial will be thrust into a totally alien world, where might and magic rule and where humanity is far from the top of the food chain. Join Rory as he comes to grips with his new reality, developing new powers and gaining friends and foes alike. This is my first attempt at writing a story of any kind and is dedicated to Rory who died from SIDS at a far too young an age. This story will contain great adventures, epic battles, good friends and foes alike. I am aiming to create a world that will, in some small measure, hopefully keep his memory alive.
