《Cut Deep (Eren x Reader ft. Titan Eren)》~ Chapter 24 ~

As soon as I heard the lightning strike I knew what it was. Or more so who it was. My legs tense up and my whole body freezes, what on Earth would Eren be transforming for at this time of night? Maybe he was drunk, maybe Hanji told him to, maybe he wanted to do it for Mikasa...I don't know.
I hear the ground rock and shake, and try to think of a place to hide. Who am I kidding- who can hide from a titan? I look at the calm, blue pond...should I? Yes, I know it's stupid and it's probably the coffee talking but I can't face Eren...not yet. I dip my foot in the water, it's freezing cold and goosebumps coat my skin. I can't do it, so instead I'll hide behind the same tree I did the day I saw Eren ask out Mikasa.
The ground still rumbles underneath me, causing nerves to bubble up inside of me. I see him, Eren's titan form walking towards the pond. It sits down in a hunched position, and begins to sulk. It whimpers like an injured kitten, and great tears leak from its eyes. Titans can cry?
I try to think of any reason why Eren might be upset...his mother, his father...Jean and Mikasa. I decide that would have to be the reason why he is crying and step back onto a twig that snaps and echoes louder than I thought. I cover my mouth and begin to sob, and Eren's titan flips its head in my direction. Instead of running I am glued to the dirty forest floor, and he takes a few steps before coming to me.
I look up to his radiated green eyes and a chill runs down my spine, as his large facial features look sad. He uses his wide titan hand and reaches for me, scooping me up into his palm along with the patch of dirt I was quivering in. He transfers me to his clean palm and strokes my back with his thumb. His skin is so warm, and tears trickle from my eyes as he holds me, because it pains me to be so happy after what I said this morning.

"Mmfh," He purrs sadly, continuing to stroke my shaking body.
I hide my face in my hands and sob, gently as he moves his palm to his eyes.
"Eren..." I mutter under my breathe. I take my hands away and look into his turquoise eyes, the same eyes I fell in love with and continue to love.
He nudges my body with his nose, as if he wants me to speak to him. What's the point in worrying what he'll think...he won't hear me anyway.
"Eren..." I choke, beginning something I'm assuming I'll regret. "I...I...I love...you,"
His ears twitch, and bend down like a frightened dog.
"I...I...every-yone knows it...I've been...trying-g to...hide it," Tears continue streaming down my face. I take in a deep breath while the titan whimpers, and try to speak as clearly as I can. "You...you amaze me in every way. You're so brave, so strong...after all you've been through and you still...still manage to smile. Your...your titan form, I do...find it strangely attractive...and I could never...ever think of someone I'd rather...die for,"
My insides sting and burn and regret fills my mind. I rub my eyes and flick the tears away. Is...is he blushing? A peach colouring rests above the titan's teeth, that open up revealing a long, red tongue. His breath sweeps over me, hot and moist that comforts my body. His tongue reaches out, and licks my body whole, what feels like a wet, heated hug. I giggle through tears and try to smile for the support he is giving me. He moves his palm down to the forest floor, and I get off as steam begins to fill the air. His titan body falls onto the floor with a loud thump, and out from the nape comes Eren.

He rushes over to me only in dress pants and his shirt, and wraps his arms tight under mine, pulling me to his chest. I can hear his heartbeat, and it breaks me.
"Are...are you okay?" I stutter, pulling back from his sticky body.
"I am now," He pulls me back to his chest, holding me tightly. His weight fills my body with screams of joy I want to release but know will ruin the moment.
"Did...did you hear...hear what I said?" Tears fill my eyes.
"Yes," He replied shakily. "Every word,"

That is, until she faces this new reality. How will she, her family, and her friends deal with the aftermath of such event? Currently revising all the existing chapters. New ones coming after that! _________________________________________________________________ Sneak Peek: Next to the kitchen, there was a small squared table and two wooden chairs, each made from different wood. The bookshelf behind those contained a decent amount of books. I stood up to take a closer look at them and even opened a few out of curiosity. While I could read most of them just fine, some of the oldest-looking books were written in a language I didn't recognize. "Hm? Was my hand always blue?" I didn't remember. In fact, I couldn't recall anything about myself, not even my name. Inspecting the rest of my body, I found that it was the same all over. I didn't feel sick; quite the opposite. Still, my blue skin felt out of place for some reason. Trying to find an answer to my situation, I kept investigating the odd room. _________________________________________________________________ Big thanks to Alice Griffin for helping me out with the cover.

8 216Tales of Ordinary, Completely Unremarkable Contractors
"Where life had no value, death, sometimes, had its price. That is why the mercenaries appeared." - Artur Xerxes, in A Century of Disappointment: Memoirs of a Travelling Dwarf It's never too difficult to land contracts for a set very specialised skills in a continent teeming with werewolves, vampires, giant leopards, undead and, god forbid, elves. The difficulty comes when these contractors find themselves suffocated in the dense atmosphere of this world's rigid - and mostly unfair - rules; death, suffering and misfortune await those unwilling to sacrifice to bend these in their favour. In this non-linear plot, you will observe a scarred and deformed farm girl cashing her first bounty posters, a seemingly ordinary barmaid at a tavern in the bustling centre of a sprawling, corrupt city and an enigmatic leader of a firm specialising in dealings any other would consider suicidal. Watch them all take everything to the next level at every available opportunity, and then feel dread at the thought that this still might not be enough to halt the physical embodiment of doom about to do what it does best Please, feel free to review and comment! Any sort of feedback can help me become a better writer and write more engaging stories for you. I used to update once every 3-5 days, but this rewrite is taking much too long...I do hope it will be worth it.
