I walk over to the thick trees of the forest's edge to hear the chatter of my recognized friends that are in my group of the Scouts. They consist of Jean, Conny, Mikasa, Armin, Sasha, Christa, Ymir, Reiner, Bertholdt and of course...Eren.

"(Y/N), glad you could make it on your day off," Hanji exclaims, a broad grin on her face that is covered with rain water streaming down it.

The thunder cracks above us and I tense up, the fear of the trees falling on anyone of us or the striking of lighting.

"Don't worry, (Y/N), there hasn't been any sighting of lightning, so it's all good," Hanji says with a psychotic smile. I look over to see a caged titan, wild brown hair and piercing brown eyes. Behind it positioned on trees stands Mikasa, Reiner, and Bertholdt who are the obvious strongest out of our group. I look over to see on the left of it side stands another titan, smaller with short blonde hair and teeth that give a literal ear to ear smile. Behind the titans on trees I notice the rest of my group, 3DMG equipped and ready to use.

"This is Jeff, my big boy with the brown hair and Puppet, my other boy with the blonde," Hanji introduces me to the titans.

"Hello," I say stupidly to them.

"Now, (Y/N), I need you to stand right there, in front of Jeff while I'll untie him." Hanji explains.

"What? Why me?" I panic, sweat blending in with the rain on my face.

"Oh, don't act like you don't know," Hanji blushes, causing laughter in the trees.

Is this because of Eren? Does she know I like him?

"This is because I know you like titans, (Y/N). During titan testing you are the most enthusiastic and well, I thought you might liking be up and close with one!" She grins.

"Yeah, you got me!" I lie, cheekily smiling. "But wait...it'll go right for me, correct?"

"Correct," Hanji hums.

"What if I die? What if it eats me? What if-"

"We're not up in these trees for amusement!" Reiner calls down to me.

I look up to see everyone in the trees ready to pounce, if the titan even begins to harm me...

"If the titan begins to harm you, I'll give off a signal and you guys," Hanji calls up to the trees, "will swoop down on it and stop it. This experiment is to test and see how Puppet will react to another titan killing a human...but that won't happen, (Y/N), we're not sacrificing you... yet," Hanji says with a chuckle.

I give a weak smile and walk in front of Jeff. His eyes pierce into mine and my stomach drops in fear. I have had encounters with titans before, but each one makes my stomach ooze with nausea, just a natural reaction of nerves and fear mixed together.

"We've got your back," Jean screams down through the rain.

"You'll be okay!" Bertholdt assures me.

I nod as Hanji uses her 3DMG to unlock the titan from the chains from its ankles to its waist, to until she goes up to the titan's shoulder, and unlocks the neck chains that hold it back from killing me completely.
