julia was next to marcus, her now boyfriend, as much as she could. of course, she had to go back home from time to time, but every moment she was in the same city as him, she had to be next to him.
his recovery took a bit longer than expected, after the doctors found another problem that wasn't detected back when the cash happened. however, julia never stopped bringing him food and coffee and helping him mentally as much she could.
"you know" marcus started when he saw julia coming in with coffee and food, "you can have your own life"
the girl looked at him and smiled a little, a soft but sad smile "i know, silly. but i want to do this"
"you mean you like to go back and forth between countries just to get me the food i would order in any other day?"
"yeah, for you"
her line threw him back into his reflecting space, but not for too long, as nyck joined the couple in the room " 'sup loser, and Marcus"
julia gasped, not as surprised she was called a loser by her own brother as she was at the fact that he was standing there, right in front of her.
with a few months of flying from home to marcus and back home (where she'd facetime her boyfriend), she hasn't seen -or heard- from nyck. it was as if they didn't know each other.
so, naturally, julia jumped in his arms, excited to finally see him again.
"god what took you so long to visit marcus?" she said, forgetting the fact that he's in the room with them
"what took you so long to visit me at the races? do you know how many i've won?"
it set julia on her thoughts, but only for a brief moment. "maybe three?"
"....exactly three" nyck held back before answering
the whole room was filled with laughter and sometimes loud chews, but that was something they could deal with.
both nyck and julia swore to meet more often, while marcus promised the boy he'd come support him too "as soon as i'm out of this fucking hospital dude"
it was a perfect day.
"hold on guys, sean is calling me"
it was almost a perfect day.

The Humble Life of a Skill Trainer
For Joshua Still, Skills were the lifeblood of his business. He wanted to understand them, collect many of them, and teach a few of them. Which was a problem because while his profession of a Skill Trainer was perfectly legal, it was frowned upon by most of the kingdom. After all, it wouldn't do for a non-tailor to teach Tailoring. Or, so says the Tailors Guild. The same could be said by the Blacksmiths, the Bakers, the Butchers, the Candlestick Makers, the Mages, and every other Guild with enough money and clout to complain. But still, Skill Trainers provide a valuable service, and so he has managed to start his business and keep it under the table. To a degree. With many a bribe. But his quiet anonymous life of research, practice, and training was about to change. When the Baron demands you pay him a visit, you have little choice.

The Dungeon's Escapee
An Earthling, a Summer Elf, and the only male Phoenix in existence walk into a Dungeon... Okay, maybe they don't really do it so much for glory but rather because it's their job, and maybe they weren't really together, and some of them were actually walking out. Enter the world of Cespes, a land of magic, mystery, and monsters. Now, the Ancient Gods have gone silent even as magic enters the Golden Era. The Avish Empire might have fallen four thousand years ago, yet much of society remains fragmented, even as they share more cultural ties than ever before. Adventurers have always formed parties. Now, there are Dungeons, dark, grey blobs that dominate Kingdom maps and kill everything within sight. Yet, beyond even these obvious places of danger entwined with fortune, a forgotten evil rears its head after fermenting for millennia. A call for heroes has arrived. Warning: This story is written in the first and third person with multiple POVs. I will try to publish at least once every two weeks, if not more. Cover art by: [email protected]

The Legacy of Eloria
In the world of Aluvriel, legend speaks of the grand city of Eloria that was once lost to the darkness. It was said to contain relics of a lost age that could change reality itself. Many brave souls have searched for Eloria and the wealth, power, and glory that would come with its discovery. After six centuries, Eloria is finally found. However, one thing that the legends never mentioned was the terrible danger lurking within. What will happen when things that were lost are once again brought into the light? These discoveries could be for the good of all, or they could doom the world to eternal ruin. --- Updates will be irregular. Between working a full-time job and attending a full helping of college classes I don't have a lot of time to update. My story will have multiple view point characters. Don't be surprised when view points change, even from the very beginning.
