The next morning was peaceful. I woke up to Marcus hugging me while still asleep, and no sign of Nyck.

My brother is very protective when it comes to me, he thinks no one is good enough for me. Every boyfriend I've had so far broke up with me because of him. I'm used to every boy just avoiding me, knowing who my brother is.

With Marcus and Sean it's weird. They know better than anyone else who is my brother and how protective he is of me, yet they don't care.

"Oh shit" I hear the boy next to me mumble, softly taking his hands away from me.

"It's okay, I'm awake" he looks worried

There's a moment of silence where we stare at each other. His eyes make butterflies in my stomach, thing I haven't experienced in three years.

"Nyck is still asleep. If you want to run, you can do it"

He makes his thinking face know and smiles. "I'm good, wanna get breakfast?"

I nod and run to the bathroom to get dressed. Today is Nyck's last race in Monaco, which means both Marcus and I will not see each other by tomorrow.

I take my mind off the sad thought of leaving him, and start to uncontrollably smile. For the not-a-morning-person I am, he does make it easier to wake up early.

Once I'm dressed out I get out of the bathroom and see the New Zealander standing in front of the door, with his phone in his hand, smiling.

My heart sinks. Who could he be talking to? Why is he so happy?

Stop that. The world doesn't revolve around you, Julia. Just act normal.

"Ready?" I say. He looks at me and smiles even more.

"Ready." He stops. "First, look at this meme"

He hands me his phone and shows me some tumblr post. "Been laughing at it for the past five minutes"

So that's why he was smiling. I smile back at him and after I read the post I hand the phone back.

"Now let's go before your psycho brother catches us" We both chuckle and leave the room.

The breakfast has been extremely tasty, and so were Marcus' jokes and pick-up lines.
