《STRAWBERRY WINE -corpse husband-》END (35)

When Madison came back from her break nearly a year ago, now, she never expected so much love and support. Not from her fans, or her friends, but from Corpse.
They had never expected it. It was cheesy, but she believed that's when the best things happen; when you least expect them.
They had rough patches, they had struggles, and still, both of them were learning and growing. It would be awhile before both of them felt completely confident in their relationship to commit any further but at least they had each other.
Since January, they had started couples therapy, and each of them also went to their own therapist. They were invested in making it work, no matter what. Corpse had gotten slightly healthier medically, aside from his voice and throat issues, but it was something only time would tell.
They had hired movers to help them, because with Corpse's condition, and Madison having no upper body strength, it just made sense. They spent three days unpacking, and doing tests, making sure the wifi, water, and air conditioner worked before feeling comfortable enough to fully settle in.
Corpse opened a bottle of strawberry wine, pouring each of them a glass. He sipped his as he handed Madison hers. "For some reason, it tastes better here than anywhere else," he commented playfully.
"Hush, it's my favorite," Madison defended.
Sitting down next to her, he pulled her into his side. They sipped their wine in silence, blissful.
They were sitting on their couch in their house.
Getting a house instead of an apartment made the most sense. They needed three rooms, so each of them could stream in their own space, and a lot of the three bedroom apartments were more expensive than investing in a home. They had split it, 50/50, so if anything did happen, they could handle it like adults and no one would feel wronged.

"I love you," Madison mumbled, nuzzling her head into his chest further.
"I love you too, bub," he replied, setting his wine glass down to pull her closer. She was straddling him now, head in his neck. He ran his hands soothingly down her back and up into her hair.
This had all been worth it, he decided.
She had been worth it.

Mc's not part of the story
WARNING: Early chapters are shitty. Mikael was a graduating student when a global summoning transported him inside a forest full of monsters. Inside this place, he met people that would help him reach his goal: to return back on Earth and meet his family. (note: this is my first novel. If you see any errors just tell me and I'll edit it. English is my second language so expect some mistakes. Please support me if you like the story) (Rate one-star only, since this story deserves it.)
