"I just... I think we're different people now than we were eight months ago when we first started talking, and if we can start over, going slow and steady, I think we'll be fine," Madison finished her suggestion, sticking a fry in her mouth.

Corpse had already finished his food while he was listening to her explain proposition. "Maddie... I think that will work out but, I don't.... starting over is going to be hard," he said, choosing his words wisely. He didn't want her to think he was against that idea, but he knew neither of them had much self-control.

"Corpse, if you want me to be honest, I think you have a lot to work on now that I've worked on me," she said boldly, trying not to sound like she was trying to offend him. "I think.. I think you're still learning how to love and that's going to take time and commitment. And I want to do it with you, I really do. But we have to be able to do it the right way," she explained gently.

Corpse felt called out, but he knew she was right. "You're right."

She gave him a small smile. "We got this, baby," she commented, kissing him on the cheek on her way to throw out their trash.

He was left blushing at the dining room table. "Does that mean I have to go home after this?"
