Madison kept her gaze on him. "So why haven't you?"
Corpse smiled softly at her, "we've been quite busy, haven't we? I didn't want to do anything I was unsure you'd be okay with."
"I'm very... very okay with it," Madison reassured him.
Corpse hummed deep in his throat before pulling her incredibly close to him, capturing her lips in his own. Their hands roamed each other's bodies, Madison tugging on his hair slightly while he gripped her ass. He led them to the bedroom, stumbling onto her unmade bed. She laid under him, kissing at his jaw and neck while he hovered over her.
Corpse stood, taking his shirt off in a swift motion. "I need to shower. I hate smelling like the hospital," he muttered, smiling at her invitingly. She shook her head and rolled her eyes at him playfully, understanding what he was insinuating.
"Could've just asked, bub," she commented before standing, and started to strip as they made their way to her master bathroom.
Madison started the water while Corpse took off his jeans. When Madison turned around, she was stunned. They had changed in front of each other, but not when they felt like this. Not when everything felt hot and the air was steamy. He was gorgeous. She could tell he was uncomfortable, holding his head down and hands uncomfortably at his sides.
"You're stunning," she said confidently, grabbing his attention. He looked up at her, the sadness in his eyes fading.
He guided her into the shower, hugging her tightly so they could be in the stream of the water together.
It was intimate, them standing in the water together, breathing deeply. They didn't speak, or even kiss, too consumed with each other.
"Corpse," Madison stepped out from under the water, detaching from his chest and instead standing in front of him, still holding his hands. "Why are you so insecure?"

Throughout their friendship and relationship, Corpse hadn't mentioned his mental health much, only focusing on his chronic pain and illnesses.
"I hate myself," he said robotically, as if he was used to that being an okay enough response. Neither of them spoke for a moment, letting the sound of the water hitting his back fill the silence. Knowing Madison wouldn't budge off this topic, he sighed, squeezing her hands gently in discomfort. "I've always just felt mediocre. Then I realized how many attractive fucking people live on this Earth, and I know I'm not one of them. It's easier to tell people you're ugly and let them take your word for it than have someone figure it out on their own."
"You're the most beautiful human I've ever seen, Corpse Husband," she told him.
He tilted her face towards his, kissing her wet lips gently.
"Let me prove it," she proposed confidently.

8 137Aristocratic Avenue
Andrew had a pretty simple life plan: write LitRPG fiction, make a boatload of cash, and... well, he'd figure out what he actually wanted to do with the cash once he'd gotten it. But things haven't worked out quite as he'd hoped. After dozens of failed LitRPG serial attempts and countless thousands of words written, he's found himself pushing forty and broke, living alone in a crappy apartment. But when the platform upon which he publishes his work, Aristocratic Avenue, gains sentience, he and his fellow writers suddenly finds themselves transported to a playground of its own making, a place where there are no rules except the ones the authors have imposed upon themselves through their own writing. Spawned in pods of three, they will need to work together to figure out just what the darned heck they're supposed to be doing and how to get the goodness gracious out of there. In Andrew's pod are the bossy and enigmatic Margeaux Sinclair, crossover erotica/LitRPG author who immediately demands increasingly kinky sex from the hapless Andrew in order to level up. There's also teenager Zachary, who is rather regretting his choice to write about a world populated only by the undead. Turns out, it's kinda hard to talk when your lips are rotting off.Armed only with his skills of Deduction and Investigation and an inspirational mug he managed to bring along with him from home, Andrew is determined to answer one question:What the ever-loving blessed little heart?!---This is a blow-off-steam hobby project, and I can't tell you how often it'll update as it's dependent on my regular work. But I hope you enjoy it regardless!
