《STRAWBERRY WINE -corpse husband-》APARTMENT TOUR (6)

Madison woke in the same position she had fallen asleep in; curled tightly, phone in front of her, showing a ceiling fan. Had Corpse stayed on all night? Did he ever sleep?
She swiped down on her phone screen, seeing that it was 9am and she was smart enough to plug in her phone the night before.
"Corpse?" She spoke quietly, not fully trusting her voice this early.
She honestly hadn't expected him to respond. "Did you sleep at all last night?"
She knew from his videos that he never slept very well because of his health issues, but if he didn't want to elaborate on it, if he didn't want to tell her, she wasn't going to push it.
"Any plans today?"
"Mm... Can I get that
apartment tour now?"
"You don't have to if
you don't want to."
Madison smiled, immediately getting out of bed. She showed him around her room first, since she was already there, and her bathroom since it was a master bedroom.
"This is my youtube room,
and it's unorganized now because
it's gaming on one side,
and a shit ton of beauty
products on the other side."
Although she couldn't see his face, his responses to all of the things she showed him was proving that he was actually looking. She smiled gently, ending the tour back in her bedroom so she could snuggle back into her bed.
"Your turn!"
"Of course."
She watched as the camera went black again. She only saw blackness for a few moments before she could see a living room. It only had one couch, and a small TV but it was cute.
He moved on into the kitchen, where it was incredibly clean, which for some reason she was surprised by.

Madison could tell he was uncomfortable with this sort of thing, but he was doing a good job! And honestly, she didn't care all too much about what it looked like, she just wanted to get him away from his computer screen.
He ended up keeping the door closed for his youtube room, just showing her the door handle, which she didn't push any further.
It was dark, just as she had imagined, with black sheets and a black comforter on the bed. Everything was black, aside from the walls and flooring.
He walked over to the two large windows he had in his room, above his dresser, and opened the blinds. The room lit up then, highlighting some of the white he had added in the lamps, throw pillows, and decor. She hadn't imagined him to have it this put together, but it was beautiful.
"It's beautiful, Corpse..." She was nearly speechless.
He closed the blinds again, and panned up to the ceiling. Little white stars and planets were bright against the dark room, full galaxies shining through because of the the sun. Madison was mesmerized as he showed all the shapes he had found within them.
"You are the coolest person
I know. It's official."
Corpse laughed quietly, moving on to the master bathroom. He was careful to go quickly, avoiding the mirror at all costs. He flipped his camera around, using the front facing one. Madison got glimpses of his black curly hair before the camera went black. She was silent as she heard him walking to what she assumed was his youtube room.
"As much as I would love to just
sit here with you all day,
I do have to shower, and get
ready for the day. I'll talk to
you later."

Corpse didn't think showing his hair would be that big of a deal. The internet had already seen it, didn't she know what it looked like already? Or, at least have an idea?
It was an accident, but he thought she wouldn't care. If anything, he thought she would've been happy. He was one step closer to showing her his face, but now he wasn't so sure.
Corpse couldn't get it out of his head all day, constantly thinking that maybe if he just wouldn't have done that, he would still be talking to her. He tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, tried to convince himself that she was just busy. But he wasn't stupid. It was too connected that moments after showing her a part of him, she leaves.
He ended up getting pulled into a game of Among Us as a fill, playing with the normal bunch for awhile, deciding he was too sensitive to stream today.
Madison hadn't reached out to him all day, and although he wasn't the easiest person to talk to, he knew if she wanted to talk, she would make the effort. That's the way she was.
Corpse decided the only way he would feel better was if he showered and put on new clothes. He had been wearing the same outfit for two days, and at least if he showered, he could change into a different hoodie and sweats; specifically, clean ones.
He stayed under the water for a long time, regretting everything he had done for the day. Pulling at his hair, he wished he could rip it all out and start over. If he didn't show her, she would still be here. He repeated it over and over in his head, whispering it as water trailed down his face. It felt weird for him to be without a mask, but oddly relieving and he relished in it while he would.
He continued into the night, it being nearly 12 now, still receiving no text from Madison. She usually would at least say goodnight.
He fucked up, and somehow he felt like maybe he had ruined it for good, even if "it" was nothing.
